This NEWER home sleeps 6, and is steps to the lake on the cove, amazing views of Lake Winnipesaukee and Sleeper Island.
A Boat slip is available upon request and availability for an additional fee. boat ramp/launch is on site. To book our boat during your stay, check our availability at www.boatvacanzanh.com

Property and location were great. Well worth staying. Having a dock right outside your door was fantastic and made it easy to get out on the water each morning and closing the boat up for the night (while drinking a cheeky beer) just as easy.The boat launch on site that is shared with the houses on Interlaken as well the surrounding Smith Point neighbors was a little tricky. There is a large rock restricting the entrance to the water and two large rocks in the water, which meant the trailer had limited access. There are also shallow rocks in the water near the launch that our propeller caught on. Hopefully the rocks could be removed to make it a much easier prospect for launching an inboard boat (larger draft than an outboard or jet ski). That being said in the future if we were to stay at the property or one of the others on site, we would launch at the Alton Bay site and boat up to property.

The property was just about as advertised. There were minor things that needed repair, such as the door hinges on the kitchen cabinets and one of the towel racks in the master bath. The larger issue was with cleanliness; I was somewhat disappointed in the dust and the need to rewash the plates, pots, and pans. Some of the linens need to either be bleached or replaced as they reveal mildew stains. We got locked out at one point because the keypad would not light up in the sunshine of the late afternoon. But the owner was attentive and responded quickly.

Nice but small. Cups in cabinet were not washed. Dust under a single bed. Night light in bathroom needed replacing. The towel racks hung precariously so my husband bought the implements to fix the one rack downstairs, and also had to purchase tools! That should not have happened. Shower needed a bar to hold on to. Code sent to us to open the key lock was inaccurate as it had an extra number. Owners luckily left us the key in the door. Otherwise, place was nice and what we wanted and filled all our requirements.

Cute cottage, quiet and comfortable

We rented the cottage for a ski weekend. Overall, we like the location and the cottage itself. We read the prior reviews and brought our own towels. The cottage had good internet, and a TV where we could watch netflix or amazon prime on. Its a cute place, and was very comfortable.

Great location

The house was perfect for family of 4 and love the Alton Bay Area for watercraft rentals and restaurants. Very peaceful location. We only stayed a couple of nights. If renting for a full week, would have missed dishwasher and laundry but would be fine for a long weekend.

Absolutely Perfect

This is an absolutely amazing property that had me looking for places to buy exactly like it before I had even checked out. Perfect quiet location and an amazing view from the living room/ kitchen and porch with a fire pit and grill

An okay stay

We had hoped most importantly for a clean house. The floors were covered in crumbs. We couldn’t walk around without shoes or we had to change our socks immediately after. Six people stayed at the home but we could not located six towels. Oven was smoking when we attempted to use it. Check in was tough. Up side is that Owners responded promptly and were very nice. Beautiful view from back yard. We appreciated finding a place with such short notice, but probably would not return here. We just had higher hopes for this stay.

Perfection

This little house was absolutely perfect for my small family of 4. The house is newly renovated and feels like it’s brand new. It’s clean, modern and very comfortable. The owners are super nice, accessible, accommodating and willing to make your stay great. The house has a nice porch, fireplace and bbq. It sits right up against private docks and a boat ramp. It’s a VERY quiet neighborhood and everyone who lived there was so friendly. We will definitely be staying here year after year.

Lakefront cottage

Family w three kids (7-10) stayed 5 nights while skiing at gunstock (12 min drive - awesome!). Sunrise every morning was amazing! Place was very clean. Lacked a little in the towels/linens category (4 towels for 5 guests. No extra towels, no towel to dry dishes). Had some trouble getting into the house at night bc of the freezing temps and touchpad lock, but mgmt was very responsive and nice about the whole thing and followed up the next day. Overall would def recommend and def return in summer months.

Vacation

Somewhat disappointed. Suggest you bring your own towels even though they say they are provided. That is if you want more than one towel for the week and there is no washer. Someone did bring us extra towels when this issue was identified but argued that it was an unusual request. Kayaks have seen better days.

Perfect Long Weekend

Beautiful lake property with amazing view. We had a great time, and enjoyed our Labor Day weekend stay. The place was exactly what we were looking for: new, lake front, beautiful view, boat ramp and slip available for our boat. Steven was a great host and we’re looking forward to future stays.

Lake Fun

Loved the location-House was great for a large group. 2nd house excellent too. All the family enjoyed having access to the lake and hiking biking and zip lining practically in your back yard.

Summer retreat

Cute area

Everything was great about this place, location, communication etc. Kids used Kayaks everyday and we were able to store our boat there for the week! The main bedroom had a beautiful view!
