Charming and thoughtful! Adorable place to stay

Excellent stay! Very welcoming and peaceful! We enjoyed hanging out by the river for a bit on Saturday afternoon. Anything you could have possibly needed was there. Wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.

Great for the Folk School

We spent (yet another) week at the folk school; this cottage is ideal as it is so close to the school, is quiet and right on the gorgeous Hiwassee river.

Great stay next to the river

Loved staying here. Host was very easy to communicate with and met us there when we arrived. Brought our dog and there was a small fenced in area in the back if we needed it. Beautiful view of the river. Spring time and everything was in bloom.

Beautiful Location!!!

Wonderful Place to stay very relaxing. Michele thinks of everything for you we appreciated all the labels she had and the s'mores kit she left for us. She is a wonderful host! We loved playing in the River at night and Murphy was a cute little town with many things to do.

Perfect Getaway

We had such a wonderful time at Paradise Cottage! It was a peaceful retreat for us while taking a class at the Folk School and also working remotely. It was minutes from the Folk School and convenient for everything we needed. The place is very comfortable, super cute, and felt like a home away from home - with a better view! The river was gorgeous and we even saw deer with their babies at the rivers edge a few times. Hope to return!

Michele was awesome and goes the extra mile with lots of little touches. This worked great for us and the dogs. Within a mile of the craft school which worked fantastic for our week.

IT IS PARADISE!

Paradise Cottage will exceed your expectations. The owners have thought of everything and then some. The Cottage is on the Hiawassee River. Relaxing views while sitting in the gazebo. Nice quiet neighborhood convenient to downtown Murphy and other sites. Spotless. Dog friendly. Highly recommend and hope to return. Thanks for letting us stay at Paradise Cottage.

Quaint and peaceful

The purpose of my trip was just to have a short getaway for me and my dogs, and Paradise Cottage was exactly the place I needed. It was great to sit in the gazebo and listen to the river and other sounds of nature. The river was easily accessible to either put your feet in or go kayaking, if you want to. Plus, it’s not too far away from food and other activities. Michele and Ed were very friendly and great hosts. Thank you for the welcoming stay!

Relaxing at Paradise Found

We had the best vacation at Paradise Found. The home was exactly as pictured/described. Everything need was thought of down to the smallest details. We especially appreciated the dog friendly atmosphere. Michele and Ed were friendly hosts. The neighborhood is beautiful. The river was the star of the show for our family. Hands down 100% recommend this listing!

Many listings say that they are dog friendly but they really mean dog tolerant. This cottage is truly dog friendly. There's even a huge drawer labeled "dog towels"! Michelle provides towels for after a romp in the river, a sheet for dogs to enjoy the couch and bed and a few extra puppy pads. The cottage is spotless and tastefully decorated for the season. It feels so welcoming. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked. One of the things I love best is that everything is discreetly but clearly labeled. Directions for everything are very clear. No time is wasted figuring out what each switch does or how to operate an appliance.Paradise Found is a perfect name for the cottage. The river is mesmerizing. I could spend the rest of my life relaxing in the gazebo by the river. The neighborhood is magical. I was there eleven nights and hated to leave. It is perfectly located for attending John C Campbell Folk School and enjoying the area. If this cottage is available... book it immediately. I know I will.Thank you, Michelle!

Disconnect anniversary

Had to change plans at the last minute due to tropical storm cancelling beach plans… so headed to the mountains instead. Great location for semi-seclusion with nice creek access. Sat in the water sipping wine and enjoying the disconnection, yet still had access to the town for nice meals. Rode the electric rail bikes in Andrews. All in all a very nice Virgo and we will surely come back (likely bringing the grandkid for some creek time!).
