Crystal Blue is a modern lake house on the sunset shore of beautiful Lake Blue Ridge. Nestled in the North Georgia Mountains, this rustic modern-style cabin has everything you need to enjoy a mountain lake experience with all the conveniences of a contemporary house. Bartholomew (the caribou) welcomes you to the ultimate great room with an open-concept kitchen/dining/living room all with an incredible view of the lake. The wood burning fireplace is ideal for cool evenings or cold winter days. The main floor master bedroom boasts a comfy queen bed with the most fantastic view of Lake Blue Ridge and includes a private bath with a 6x6 steam shower to rest those sore muscles after a day of outdoor fun. Laundry and a half bath complete the main level.

Upstairs you will enjoy two large bedrooms with queen beds, a twin bunk bed in the loft, and a full bath with a soaker tub. The lower level includes a fourth bedroom with the best view of Lake Blue Ridge and a full bath. The oversized rec room has a gas fireplace, 65" TV, shuffleboard table, Pac-Man, game table, refrigerator for snacks and beverages, and a double sleeping cubby. Step outside the lower level to a covered patio beside the 8-person hot tub and sunbathing deck. Outdoor games are ready for your family's enjoyment.

Take a leisurely stroll to the lake where you will find a huge firepit and access to the lakeshore with a level area near the fire pit which is great for a game of corn hole or just sitting lakeside waiting for the beautiful sunset. A few steps down to the wide lakeshore with a rare gentle slope into the water which is great for kids to play. Lake toys, including kayaks and paddleboards, are all available for guests. And, for experienced boaters, a 2021 Sylvan pontoon boat is available for rent. Please ask about boat rental if you are interested.

The sun sets right before your eyes over the crystal blue waters during the spring and summer months. This spectacular view is visible from every room in the house, but best at the lakeside fire pit or from the outdoor space. Last but not least is the outdoor room directly off the main living room. This is the best room in the house with comfy furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, a flatscreen TV above the mantle for avid sports fans, rocking chairs, and a tall table with stools.

This place is fantastic. The beds were very comfy. The deck was our favorite spot to hang out, which we did every evening! Anything we needed was there. Directions were easy and clear cut. Check out (and check in) was a breeze. The downstairs is a great space if you’re traveling with an older parent or kids… very comfy living room area, huge couch, full bedroom and bathroom, some basic kitchen-type things including a fridge. Hosts were very helpful, communicative, and replied quickly. Overall excellent property and host!! We loved our wknd trip here! PS - if you are into fly fishing, you are only about 30 min from the delayed harvest section of the Toccoa and there are TONS of other rivers to fish within two hours of here.

The view was beautiful. Children enjoyed the kayaks. We all had mornings in the hottub and had slow evenings watching movies and playing board games. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Had a wonderful time.

Amazing stay. House is stunning. So many things to do inside and outside of house. The walkway to the landing to the dock is not terribly step like other rentals. The kids could play in the water just like at the beach. The pontoon boat, tubing, paddle boarding etc. was so easily accessed. We will return for sure.

Fabulous Weekend

Crystal Blue was a fabulous location for our visit to the Blue Ridge Lake area. The house is set in a beautiful location and is every bit as wonderful inside. It has all the amenities you could possibly want for a family vacation to the area. The owners were extremely accomodating from the very beginning. The town of Blue Ridge has several points of interest and the Mercier Orchards should not be missed. Our 4 night visit was absoulutely terrific.

Beauty on the lake

The house was beautiful, the view was beautiful. The outdoor fireplace was wonderful. Many nights spent on the deck with a fire going til late. Homeowners provided plenty of firewood. Plenty of comfy furniture for all of us to relax on. House was lovely and comfortable! Rented the owners pontoon and spent hours daily on the lake. Going back next year!

Beautiful house on lovely lake Blue Ridge

Our family’s stay at this spacious home right on the shore of lake Blue Ridge was magical. Easy accessiblity to the lake with an amazing lake view from the house. A great place to have fun and relax.

If you’re thinking about booking, do it.

My family and I have stayed in no less than 30 rental homes and this by far is the nicest we have been in. From how beautiful the house is, to the views, to the lake in general, you won’t want to leave when you get here. The host Diane is amazing to work with and has this home ready to truly live out of unlike most other rentals. I can’t say enough good things about this home, we will be back!

Summer Lake Vacay

The house was nice! All was clean. We loved the lake! Diane was nice, responsive and efficient. We enjoyed morning coffee and evenings on the back porch. Listened to music throughout the house. Saw several deer. Went in the hot tub every morning. The Lake House was pretty & relaxing! We did nearby white water rafting, zip lining, hiking, and horseback riding. We took the boat out everyday and had lunch at the marina. Thank you!

All Ages Family Fun Property

The House is beautiful. 3 Floors for privacy for grandparents to toddlers for sleeping or quiet time. The deck off the main floor kitchen is perfect spot for relaxing with coffee and a close up view of lake. Have rented others where the walk to the lake is treacherous, this is a short, easy walk for all ages. Rent the pontoon boat, you won't be sorry. Communication with Host couldn't have been better.

Perfect retreat for a family trip

We had 10 people in our extended family for this trip (6 adults and 4 children plus one golden retriever) and Crystal Blue was the perfect spot for us. The house is big enough that everyone could spread out when we needed space, but still eat together in the large kitchen. The house is so well provisioned by the hosts who have thought of just about everything. The view and location cannot be beat. I actually don’t think the pictures in the listing can do it justice - the views took my breath away when we arrived. The host was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to book our next trip!

Wonderful stay

The house was better than advertised and the location was perfect. Diane was wonderful to work with and was more than accommodating when a delayed flight altered our plans. No difficulties with our stay at all, nothing but fun and relaxation for the whole family. We would love to come back to this property in the future.

So cozy and charming

Honestly this was one of the best VRBOs we’ve ever stayed at. It was very well-equipped with the necessities as well as awesome extra amenities. The place itself is gorgeous. I might add the owner has excellent taste. The furnishings and decor are so cute and trendy. The views are spectacular and the location is great. An all around great experience. Thank you so much.

Thanksgiving Getaway

I read the reviews about how pictures did not do this place justice and they were absolutely correct! The comfort, coziness with elegance and location were better than I expected. Not only is it a beautiful cabin, but Diane and her husband are very thoughtful owners. They have every amenity you could possibly need. The place was decorated for the holidays and they even left us something from the local apple orchard(which is worth visiting). I can't wait to book this place again. Until then, I will sit on the deck with my morning coffee/evening cocktail looking at the lake in my memories!...

Wonderful!!

Roomy, clean, well stocked, comfortable, and excellent location. We had an extended stay, nearly 4 weeks. Family came to visit and all had a great time. Plenty of amenities to enjoy together, boating, kayaks or hiking. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful when we had a few minor questions to improve our stay even further. There were absolutely no issues or complaints on our part. To enjoy this home to the greatest extent is to have a frame of mind to stock up on food and drinks and then sit and relax and enjoy everything it has to offer. The home interior is very well designed and the lower ground floor offers a roomy space for games. The main floor outdoor deck is awesome with a TV, fireplace and a gas grill. The furniture is awesome and very comfortable.

Family Lake Retreat

My sister and I brought our families to the lake for a 5 night stay. Property is stunningly beautiful, better than pictures. Secluded yet accessible, and great location on the lake for water sports and cove swimming. Spent a lot of time outdoors up by the house, down by the fire pit, and kayaking and swimming off the dock. House was clean, well-decorated and designed, and completely stocked with everything we needed - from kitchen items to floats for the water - we definitely overpacked given what was already there! Plenty of space for privacy and togetherness. The kids would say tubing on the boat was their favorite, adults would say evenings outside together. It is a little further (25-30) minutes to get to town, river tubing or some of the more popular trails, just need to plan around it. And you won’t really want to leave. The single improvement I would make is a king bed in the master, for people who sleep with bed hogs! Beyond the amazing property, Diane was phenomenal communicating about the home, what’s there, what we’d need, instructions for boat, etc. Truly a personal experience that makes all the difference. They even left s’mores and cider for us upon arrival - classy, comforting touch. Recommend without hesitation.

Amazing!

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed at the house for a week and rented the pontoon boat, which is a must! The house is on beautiful Blue Ridge Lake facing amazing sunsets every night. The house is gorgeous and very well appointed. We ate in almost every meal and had everything we needed to do so. There are also many fun things to do, including kayaking, swimming and rafts for the lake, shuffle board and even a Ms. Pac Man! We really enjoyed the outdoor living space where you can hang out and read and watch tv on the deck in the evening. The hosts were terrific and really go out of their way to ensure a great experience. We highly recommend this property for couples and families.

This is our third property in Blue Ridge. We traveled from river to high above the lake to gentle slope lot. This lot is truly amazing, even we didn't realize how awesome it would be until we began building. The gentle slope to the lake provides easy access to all the activities the lake offers. The nearby town of Blue Ridge provides a great opportunity for day trips for shopping and fine dining.
