A beautiful,newly renovated sprawling house nestled on 30 acres. Completely private, just you and the nature.Pegged hardwood floors, fireplace, and brick walls give this home a vacation feel. Cozy recently renovated, and newly furnished. Includes: Master bedroom with pond view, queen bed. Guest room with twin bunk beds. Second guest room with a queen bed. Two full bathrooms. Living room with large viewing windows of the pond, wood fireplace, 50' flat-screen TV with cable. Open dining room with a direct view of forest and TV. The table seats up to 12; 10 comfortably. Home features a kitchen with all the modern conveniences to include: dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, oven, stove, and full-size refrigerator/freezer. All homewares provided. Mudroom with large butler pantry and coat hooks at the entrance. Dryer and washing machine accessible in the basement. Linens provided in all rooms. Outdoors you will find a patio and sidewalk. A fire pit and seating area down by the lawn. Beautiful playground, trails, Corn Hole games, and other fun surprises. Enjoy incredible sunsets!! This home is located in a very safe and family-friendly area... Winham Ski resort is 9 miles away and Hudson about 29 miles away. Many attractions around including Howe Caverns -25 miles away, Fruit Picking, Horse Back Riding, .
Museums like Bronk, Olana abound. Sweet towns like Coxsackie, Westerlo, Athens, New Baltimore and Tannersville. Produce stands, nifty old cemeteries, falling down barns and swimming holes abound.Nothing is like the Catskills any time of the year.
Property is on well water. A state of the art filtration system is in place in our home, it may not be what you are used to. Tested and safe for drinking. Recommend to bring your own water...

Lovely setting, but missing a few things

The setting is beautiful, quiet and relaxing! We arrived for Thanksgiving weekend. The house is updated and we had plenty of space. It was not super clean and there was an odd smell in the two bedrooms downstairs. There were lots of dead bugs around leading us to believe it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. There were no extra paper towels or toilet paper(there weren't full rolls to start with). We cooked while we were there so paper towels are a necessity. Some hand towels for kitchen & bath would have helped. We had to search for enough bath towels(maybe a set of newer towels is in order). We did reach out to the owners about the paper goods-ended up going to Dollar General to buy some. Internet is very spotty as well as cell phone service if you have Verizon. Since we couldn't flush the toilet paper, it would be nice to have a bag in the trash cans to dispose of used toilet paper.

Literally perfect…

Family of 5 and we loved every minute of it. The kids had no interest in their devices for three whole days over Labor Day weekend. Just wanted to play on the swing set, explore the vast property, make s’mores, swing on the zip line, and just listen to the quiet mountains. This property is more private than you probably expect and is a true unwind/turnoff trip from life’s grind. We went to a nearby water park and North South Lake for a hike and lake swimming (longer drive but with no schedule, it didn’t matter). Effie the host is so communicative (although we didn’t need to get in touch during our stay) about check in and out. We’re already looking at dates for our next stay.

Great stay

A great house in a great location if you are looking to unplug and get away and relax and still close enough to town and skiing if you wanted to. House is completely renovated and spotless.

Secluded hillside country house

We arrived shortly after Christmas to go skiing at nearby Windham. The house was cozy and warm. Owner was very responsive and friendly over our text communications.

Preston Hollow was LOVELY!

Our stay at Preston Hollow was lovely. The renters were kind, accommodating and have a lovely and cozy home. The two things I would mention are the septic situation and the slow WIFI. We were unable to put toilet paper in the toilet and with little kids that was a little difficult at first. It should be noted in the listing so that people ca make an informed decision on that reality. The WIFI was also really spotty and if you're going there to relax and get some work done, that can make things hard. Otherwise it was great and I would recommend!

Beautiful Private Property

This is a great vacation getaway for a family. House is on 30 acres; very private. There’s a great front porch for morning coffee and yoga. House is spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. We really appreciated the house being ready early on the day of our check-in. Good communication with owner. We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely book this property again.

Quiet Mountain Escape

Overall, the property was very clean and well maintained. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, then this is the place. Loved both the fireplace and outdoor firepit. My kids particularly loved playing and swinging around the pond/bridge and catching salamanders. We also enjoyed walking up the hill behind the house in order to watch the sunset over the mountains. The hosts were very accommodating and communicative. We ran into a plumbing issue during our stay, and the hosts went above and beyond, driving two hours from NYC, in order to resolve the issue. We would definitely go back for a long weekend.

Great week away

This house was in a great location for us. About 20 min from town and was located on a great property. Plenty of space to explore and nice and quiet at night. The house was very clean and a pleasure to stay in.

Elevated, cozy stay in a beautiful house!

We had a fantastic long weekend at this house. Effie was communicative and personable, and made everything very easy. The house was beautifully decorated, and the amenities left nothing lacking. The house is intuitively organized, and decorated beautifully. 10/10 would rent again!

Charming retreat.

Home was spotless and the property had so much space for the kids to explore. The fire pit and string lights made for a relaxing New Years evening outside by the fire. Owners were so kind and attentive. Decor was charming.

Beautiful House

The house is very modern, cozy and equipped with all the necessary tools. The owner was very attentive and helpful answering questions very promptly . Outside territory is great and very scenery. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
