Howler Hideaway is located right in the heart of Manuel Antonio, only a 5 minute car ride to the Quepos Marina, or the famous Manuel Antonio national park! We are far enough off of the main road (no 4X4 needed) to quickly access everything, but we are also far enough from the main road not to hear anything but nature.

Huge flocks of Macaws visit daily, and the three types of Monkeys and sloths live in the jungle in front of the balcony! Full time concierge and daily cleaning included!

Great Listing

This modern listing was perfect for our family of 6 adults. The pool was great and there’s a handy restaurant/bar on the other side of the road. Beautiful birds were flying around including Macaws, and little geckos were around the grounds. Communications with the host were easy and they were very responsive to our inquiries.

Perfect in many ways

We loved staying at the Howler Hideaway! The place is beautiful and comfortable. Sitting on the balcony we had front row seats to macaws, toucans, monkeys and butterflies, which is exactly what we hoped for. We hope to visit again. The one 'unclear' item was that this is a condo, with neighbors below and beside us and a shared pool. I had the impression it was a stand a lone home. We were not bothered by this in the least, but just thought I'd clarify for others.

Peaceful

I really liked the condo. The communication with property manager. However, the listing said 3 king beds in bedrooms and there was only 2. One of my guests slept in sofa due to claustrophobic issue. The property had steep steps to climb and I had a senior citizen that can hardly see. So I do not recommend it for elderly people. The maid left our towels in the washer probably expecting us to wash them or she simply forgot. We ran out of toilet paper soon. We bought our own no problem. Don’t expect to have any other things in kitchen except coffee, sorry I’m use to other owners doing little extra things for guests. But it was a beautiful location and a nice pool. The communication with manager was very good.

Howler Hideaway

Howler Hideaway The Howler Hideaway was the perfect condo for our family of 4. The place was clean and super spacious and located perfectly in between downtown Quepos and the touristic part of town. The location was 5/10 minutes from any restaurant or tourist shops and about 10/15 minutes from any beach. The house manager Fabian provided outstanding service. We were able to be in touch with him before the trip to plan our excursions and he organized everything down to the pick up and drop off (fishing day trip and ATV). He was also always available if we had any questions regarding things in the house or suggestions on places to eat. The pool area was a nice touch, even though we did not spend much time there but was perfect for a quick relax and also grilling our fresh caught tuna from the day trip. I would highly suggest this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Quepos.

Great location to stay

Condo was in a great spot between Quepos and Manuel Antonio which had lots of nearby restaurants and activities to drive to. Great place to stay and enjoyed the pool.

Great location!

We traveled to the Manuel Antonio area, two weeks ago, and finished up our 10 day stay at this lovely condo. Because we had checked out of another home in the rainforest, we were not sure what we would do with all of our baggage and groceries. We were allowed to leave them in the condo while it was being cleaned from prior renters. We enjoyed several hours in the beautiful pool, and at check-in time, were introduced to this beautiful home. T the decor and design are modern and very soothing. It is a condo complex, so there is not a lot of privacy with all of the windows open. That being said, the views are spectacular. We would highly recommend this to others and would stay here if going back to the area.

Quiet place in the jungle.

Nice quiet place. Very well maintained and accommodating. Comfortable with many amenities. We thought we were booking a single home. It was more of a condominium home. But still very nice with a pool. Close to shopping and restaurants. But not walking distance, with kids. We only did a 2 day stay and went to Manuel Antonio and the beach. We saw lots of monkey's. Javier our host was very helpful. We Host Javier was very helpful

THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN MANUEL ANTONIO

I can not say enough about how great the Howler Hideway was to stay. Check-in and out was smooth and easy, staff are very friendly and attentive and the host is top notch. Condo was spotless and stocked with everything you need for a short or long term stay. Staff even offered to clean on a daily basis (more like a hotel). Lots of wildlife including monkeys and mccaws. Pool is great and the bistro across the street is excellent. thank you for hosting us.

Great property in a convenient location

Spacious, modern and clean with fantastic landscaping. The pool was a great bonus. Air conditioning was needed and kept us very comfortable.

Christmas 2 day vacation

Very nice and comfortable apartment - fully equipped for my family of six! Fabian was a great host - super responsive! The only thing I would change is location - very tricky and slim roads, especially at night time!

It was great!

We enjoyed our stay here! The place was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The outdoor kitchen area was under construction, but I could still use the grills out by the pool. The location is great. In between Quepos and Manuel Antonio with a quick taxi ride from anywhere we wanted to go. Fabian was our concierge and was wonderful. He met us at check-in, stayed in communication during our stay and saw us off at check-out. He arranged our guided tour of the national park, got us taxis whenever needed and was there to help with anything we needed. We look forward to staying here again when we make it back to the area. It was great!

Perfect accommodation

This place is really a no brainer. It’s got everything you need whether your on a quick trip with friends or a family vacation. Plus it’s proximity to town and Manuel Antonio National Park is perfect. The hosts were really easy to communicate with and gave clear instructions. Really appreciated their help with recommendations as well.

Birthday Vacation

We came to Costa Rica to celebrate my wife’s 40th Bday. This rental was great. Would highly recommend if looking at staying in the Quepos or Manuel Antonio area. The concierge Fabian was a great help in booking the things we wanted to do or just making recommendations and reservations for dinner. Sitting by the pool we were able to hear the Howler monkeys around the complex, making the Howler Hideaway live up to its name. We were quite satisfied with this rental.

Nice for short stay

This was an upstairs condo, was expecting a house and not having to go up and down stairs at our age. Place was clean and good for a short stay, we had a car so getting around was ok for us, but you do need a car. No problems with check in/check out, choose this place because it's hard to find a place that takes dogs. I would recommend staying here.

Great place. Well taken care of.

This place was great. Exactly as expected. We also saw a sloth, and two macaws visited every morn. Even saw monkeys in the distance at 6am. Checkin was a bit of a hiccup as we had no cell service (no wifi until we checked in) and our guy was not there to greet us so trying to reach him was a bit stressful. But other than that, he was very very responsive during our 7 day stay. :)

This place is great because we are very near to the Manuel Antonio national park, several beaches, the world famous Marina Pez Vela, and the rainforest. There are tons of things to do, places to eat, but we are still far enough out that it is quiet and peaceful and full of wildlife. 5 minutes from everything, but right next door to just the jungle!

The thing that sets up apart the most is our service. We are always available in person or via text to setup taxis, rental cars, give restaurant advice, setup activities, anything at all! Also, we have some special activities that used to only be limited to locals, like the local turtle releasing, or awesome jungle hiking trails. We love to help out guests fall in love with Costa Rica!
