Casa Olas is a rare and special place, located directly on beautiful Playa Grande beach. A private path from the house leads to a miles long world class surfing beach and Leatherback turtle nesting preserve (Marino Las Baulas National Park), all on a pristine untouched coastline where you will always see, hear, and feel the ocean.

Bright and clean, this cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, great room with French doors leading to a screened porch where we have watched humpback whales pass by during their annual migration, two bedrooms with comfy king size beds, a double sink bathroom and sunken shower, TV/internet, outdoor living on an attached patio, garden seating, BBQ, a manager/Victor and concierge/Dawn in the neighborhood.

Wonderful place and people❣️

Our stay at Casa Olas was amazing! Everything was perfect, Patricia and Bill are the best hosts! The beach access is one of the best on the coast and the private walkway is a special experience! We will 100% stay here again…great people, neighborhood, several small businesses doing great things and quick trips north and south along the beach are amazing.

Great Palm Beach Casita

Spent 5 nights at the property for a quick beach getaway. Everything was great and as advertised. The house was stocked with everything we needed and even more! The location was amazing. We spent most of our time surfing and enjoying sunsets right out in front of the access. Patricia and Bill were awesome in their prompt communication as well. Would love to stay again!

Pura vida!

Can't say enough about our Christmas at the beach! Peaceful, wonderful people, great restaurants and phenomenal sunsets every night. Exactly what we wanted for a vacation. Our thanks to Patricia and Dawn for being so responsive and giving great advice!

Great little beach casa!

We loved our trip to Playa Grande! The house was perfect for our family of four. We lucked out & got to experience a lunar eclipse from the beach. Just amazing! The property manager, Dawn, was incredibly responsive & so helpful. We ate at her restaurant multiple times while in town & it was delicious! I highly recommend the arroz con camarones…yum.

Beautiful beach cottage.

Quaint, perfect beach cottage. I loved everything about this place. The butterflies were dreamy. The beds and rooms are very accommodating. Wonderful neighborhood and the experience checking in was seamless.

Amazing Location!

This amazing location is quiet and beautiful! Hosts are wonderful and helpful. It would be a 5 star rating if there were comfortable chairs or couch - the only place to relax comfortably was on the bed.

Perfect for our relaxation vacation

This property is the cutest 2 bedroom cottage ON the beach. It's in a tranquil neighborhood with 3 good restaurants in walking distance and a couple places to book tours and transportation. It's walking distance (20 minutes walk on the beach) to Tamarindo (which is busy , but has lots of restaurants, places to rent cars, and a larger grocery store. There are water taxis that can take you across to the beach OR you can take it to Hotel Grateful and then it's just a short walk to the house. The beach is just picture perfect and peaceful. The house has all the necessities. We loved it.

A wonderful property in a wonderful, mellow town! Owner was easy to communicate with and local property manager was excellent as well. The beach was great and right there! The house was comfortable and had just what we needed. We loved it! Thank you.

Beautiful Casa Olas

Casa Olas is a really nice small house right on Playa Grande beach. Thank you to Patricia for your help and tips about the area! The check in process was super easy with Victor from Cafe Azul Mar. We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Olas in the Palm Beach Estates. This is a very quiet and relaxed area that is just across the river from the more touristy Tamarindo. It was only on our last night that there was a loud party going on two houses away. There are a couple of good places to eat within walking distance.....the small hotel across the street has an elevated outdoor dining area and good food. Cafe Azul Mar is also within walking distance and was offering daily fresh fish, which was really good. Dawn (wife of Victor) took care of my surfboard needs and also helped us out by arranging our covid tests for return to the US. Overall, this was a great stay for us and I would highly recommend Casa Olas! Doug (San Luis Obispo, CA)

Great experience, beautiful location

This place is exactly what we looked for. Quiet location with private access to the beach. Very nice and well-maintained house and extremely helpful owners. We´d like to return if there will be opportunity to visit Costa Rica again. Can highly recommend for people who like rather quiet places out of typical tourist spots.

Great little house, perfect location

Playa Grande is so nice, quiet, safe, clean and the location of the house provides a great vibe. The house in pretty much in the center of the ~3-mile beach and though quiet, also provides convenience as there are little restaurants/cafes, surfboard rentals plus a little market within a few minutes walk. The backyard of the house has a short path leading directly to the beach and provides views of the ocean. The hosts were very responsive, knew the area, and offered great advice. The house was setup nicely, had plenty of towels and linens. All the appliances(Fridge, AC, water bubbler, and multiple ceiling fans all worked well. We intend to stay there again.
