Beautiful 2 BR Penthouse condominio cerca de la playa y la 5ta Avenida

Este condominio penthouse de 2 habitaciones y 2 baños se completó a principios de 2008 y está ubicado en el centro de Playa Del Carmen, en la esquina de la Calle 10 y la Avenida 15, a solo 2 cuadras de la famosa Quinta Avenida ya 3 cuadras de la hermosa arena blanca playas del mar Caribe. Este complejo de condominios es pequeño y acogedor con solo 10 condominios.

El dormitorio principal ofrece una cama tamaño queen y baño privado con amplio espacio de guardarropas. El segundo dormitorio ofrece una cama king size o 2 camas individuales y un pequeño balcón con vistas a la plaza del pueblo.

La cocina está totalmente equipada con una estufa, horno, refrigerador y horno de microondas, así como todos los utensilios, una cafetera, tostadora y licuadora. El comedor tiene una mesa y 6 sillas. La cómoda sala de estar tiene un sofá, sofá de dos plazas y silla, así como un televisor con reproductor de DVD y una pequeña selección de DVD, así como acceso a un balcón privado que también da a la plaza del pueblo.

Con su propio jacuzzi privado para 4 personas y vista del océano y la isla de Cozumel, el gran solarium en la azotea es uno de los aspectos más destacados de este condominio. También hay una piscina compartida.

Al estar ubicado en el centro de Playa, hay muchos buenos restaurantes y tiendas a poca distancia a pie. Tenemos una guía impresa de restaurantes y restaurantes en el condominio para su uso. Wal-Mart está a solo 2 cuadras y tiene una gran selección de comestibles y otros artículos que pueda necesitar.

Aunque no es necesario conducir, hay un espacio de estacionamiento subterráneo disponible para su uso si elige traer o alquilar un automóvil. Los taxis están disponibles y tienen un precio muy razonable. Hay un acceso seguro al complejo de condominios y un guardia de seguridad durante las horas de la tarde y la noche.

Nice Condo

Condo was nice, location excellent. With sargasm issues in the gulf we needed a pool for our stay. The pool was out of service during our stay which was really sad because it was so hot. The location is fantastic however for restaurants, bars, and the city center area where they have shops concerts etc!

Not as advertised

In need of work. not as advertised!! We were asked to refrain from using main washroom, foul smell coming from the bathroom. Purchased two air freshener's did not remove the smell. Door closed for duration but could still smell foul odour. management company responds slowly to messages. Ad states midweek cleaning , when this didn’t happen, contacted ,management company we were told it would be a charge of 1000 pesos, bed linen change additional charge. In the ad there is no mention of cost. Contacted owner after he read ad he offered to pay for cleaning. but by the time management company responded, it was the next day we did not have cleaning done. Could not use hot tub, does not hold water.. one of the main reasons for choosing this property. Spent 14 days there and there are alot of issues. Holes in the tiles in the main bathroom behind the door under faucet of the tub, lifting tiles in the wall. screen doors on the balcony missing piece of metal, leaning in corner by screen door, broken chairs on main balcony.On the top of the roof deck where hot tub is there were supposed to be umbrella, table nonexistent. Drapes that are sun rotted. We went to Mexico to enjoy vacation, spent alot time contacting either owner or management company about issues with property.

Very comfortable, clean, newer, well-maintained condo just minutes walk from all the action, yet far enough away from the noise to get a good night's sleep. Been staying here for several years and will definitely be looking to stay again next year.

Nice condo and location, but noisy from traffic and municipal square

Rick and his local property managers were all responsive and very helpful. The condo was clean and nicely furnished. The overall building was nice and clean too. And the location was convenient. However, the noise from the traffic on 15th Avenue (a very busy street) was very noticeable all night - mainly in the 1st bedroom. Luckily we had brought ear plugs, which made it (mostly) possible to sleep. And the 2nd bedroom was quiet for our little girls, luckily. There were also a lot of music and activities in the town square across the street, which also made sleeping tough. We are not sure if that was a special situation or not. All-in-all it was a pleasant stay. But the traffic noise will have us considering another location, if we come back to Playa.

Great Property, Awesome Location

Great two weeks, property was well equiped and very comfortable, private and secure. It had a huge comfortable living area with magnificent orange leather furniture .The only thing that was in need of a bump up was the upstairs, area, it lacked a BBQ and a good sized table and furnishings. Our front deck looked onto the public park which had great entertainment. It was close to everything Playa Del Carmen has to offer, great shops, restaurants!! And of course the beach!!! Home away Vacations, thanks for making our stay so enjoyable and for looking after our every need. Art & Sandy

Perfect location in Playa del Carmen

Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location is perfect, a short walk to 5th avenue and also close to the beaches. You are surrounded by restaurants, shopping, two blocks from Walmart to stock up on groceries. Nearby there are banks and currency exchanges. Felt safe at all times. Condo is spacious and comfortable. They have everything you need, including wifi. If there is a problem Noemi has it fixed. Great communication. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Condo, Great Location

We spent the last two weeks in January in Playa. The condo was nice in that it had two full baths. Full kitchen was great. Everything is provided as advertised. My wife and I go to Playa every year for two weeks and I will no longer be looking at hotels. Elevator was nice since the unit is on the third floor. Rooftop was great. Price was right! Will be back!!

Location, locatoon, location

My husband, sister and I just returned from a great vacation at Rinconada Del Mar. The condo is ideally located as it is walking distance to everything you need for a carefree stay. In addition, it is very comfortable and clean and we found the owner, property manager and even the cleaners very accommodating and helpful. It was a real pleasure to take breakfast up to the huge rooftop patio every morning. With the wonderful breeze and the warmth of the sun it was the perfect way to start the day. Grocery shopping is a 2 min walk as are a number of good restaurants and cafes. There is a great beach club 5 min down at the bottom of the street where the food and drinks are also good. We miss it all already :-)

Loved this place! Perfect all around

We stayed at Riconada del Mar for 1 week and it was the best choice EVER!!! the location was spot on close to everything but not in the center of the typical tourist area with all the loud clubs n such... Space was great - large bedrooms, private bathrooms, the roof top was HUGE.. the photos dont this place justice.. a lot of updates and upgrades... overall I would stay here again and again... the owner and property manager were so helpful and responded right away... PERFECT PLACE

Just returned from one week at rinconda del mar. It happened to be carnival week, which was an unexpected experience. The courtyard across the street had a live show happening on a few evenings, while we were there, so we would sit out on the balcony and watch from a perfect vantage point, although the show did go on into the wee hours on a couple nights. The condo itself is very nice, perfect for two women travelling together. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was small but well equipped for light cooking. There was an info package on the table suggesting restaurants that were especially liked by the owner. Location was excellent, close to beach, fifth avenue and shopping centres. We took full advantage of the private rooftop lounge area, both for morning coffee and in the heat of the day. The beach is 3 blocks away, easily within walking distance. We didn't use the the pool in the courtyard and never did see anyone using it. I really appreciated the magic jack phone attachment that allowed me to call home as often as I wanted for free. There was always security people outside the main door who made us feel secure, although we always felt safe walking in the area, night or day. I occupied the second bedroom, and the bed was very comfortable. There were air conditioners in the unit, but we often used the ceiling fans instead. There was lots of closet space to unpack, and the safe was also in the second bedroom, which we took advantage of. We had a housekeeper come on the Thursday which was included in the price, although she did appreciate a tip. We did have an issue with the water pressure on 2 separate occasions, but it was fixed in a timely fashion very soon after contacting the landlord. I have to say that the owner was excellent in advising us and giving us info about the condo as well as travel to and around playa del carmen, both before and during the rental time. The landlord was also approachable and helpful with any questions or concerns. All in all, a great place to stay.

Spring trip 2014

We stayed at the condo in early March over spring break, it is a very nice condo. Nice kitchen, super nice penthouse patio. It is close to the beach and shopping. Pool is tiny as mentioned but we are not pool people. It was a little noisy in the area, but this was during spring break and that is the trade-off to being so close to everything. On arrival there was packets of info, and Mexico phone ready to use (buy minutes) at shop. Had a really nice time, and both owner and management company were easy to deal with. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect place to stay in Playa

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at this Rinconada del Mar condo—perfect for 2 couples, so much better than a hotel. The owner was very easy to work with and the manager very responsive to any questions. The condo is just like the pictures except better since there is new comfy leather furniture (same configuration as shown) and a new flat panel TV. What is not apparent from the pictures is that the wall hangings are quilted works of art and the bedspreads are, as well. The kitchen is well equipped if you choose to cook and there is a full sized refrigerator. The beds are super comfortable—the queen in the master bedroom has a really thick pillow top and the twin/king bed is very comfortable, as well. A large safe in the master bedroom was appreciated, though there is a security guard on the premises and we never felt unsafe in the area. The property was very clean and well maintained with maid service on Monday and Thursday. If you have a car, there is a parking garage under the building. Getting in and out can be a challenge but you do not have to worry about the security of the car or finding a parking spot. We are not sunbathers, but the rooftop deck would be perfect if you are with the Jacuzzi for cooling off. We did not end up using the cell phone provided (you can buy service at the store downstairs) but we appreciated the Magic Jack for making calls home. Over all, this condo has everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay in Playa. Aside from the comfort of the condo, the location is perfect. We had a car for a couple of days, but were on foot or used local transportation the rest of our stay. The beach is 3 short blocks away, the main bus station about 7, Walmart 2 ½, Ave. 5 2 blocks, alternate bus station 2 blocks, colectivos 4 blocks, ferry to Cozumel 9 blocks, etc. There are tons of great restaurants within easy walking distance, some a block or less away. A bank and some cheap taco places are only about a block away. There is a convenience store on the ground floor. We walked around the area at night without incident. The condo is perfect—close enough to the action to enjoy it but far enough away to be quiet and uncrowded. It had been 15 years since our last visit to Playa but we’ll be back much sooner next time, and this condo will be at the top of our list of places to stay.

Great location, comfortable and convenient

My husband and I stayed in this condo with my sister and her husband and were very happy with it. The beds and pillows were comfortable as was the furniture in the living area. The internet worked well as did the magic jack for the phone. The location is very good since it is convenient to 5th Ave. with its shopping, restaurants and clubs but far enough away so that one doesn't have to put up with the crowds and noise. There is a Walmart several blocks away and a small store in the same building where we obtained drinking water. There is a good restaurant (Titi's Paninis) next door. A maid came twice while we were there and it was easy to keep clean. There is a garage below the condo which we used when we rented a car for two days. It is difficult to get out of (we had to try several times) as the ramp is steep and involves a turn. The not-so-perfect features: The aforementioned parking. There is a small pool, but it is shaded and so it is cold and almost no one uses it. On the upstairs terrace there is a small pool, also unheated so it's not useful either. However, the terrace is useful for drying clothes and bathing suits. The satellite TV is a bit hit or miss. Were it not for a large screen TV in a bar on 5th Ave. my husband would have missed the Superbowl, one of two times that our team, the Seahawks, have been in it. We were able to watch a replay on the NFL network several days later and it worked okay on other occasions. The sink strainer/plug doesn't keep water in. We found that using a small plastic bag under it made it work. Overall, though, the benefits far outweighed the trivial not-so-great features. We didn't go to Playa del Carmen to watch TV. We were much more interested in the beach than the pool. We would definitely choose to rent this place if we had to choose again.

Newbies to Playa

This was the first time visiting Playa and using VRBO, and everything went smoothly. Rick was extremely helpful and accommodating during our planning phase, and the property manager was equally helpful and pleasant to work with. The condo is every bit as described. The photos in the listing are spot on. The location is great, close enough to the action, but not too close. We were able to walk to the local restaurants, beach and shopping; and since we had a rental car it was very nice knowing it was safely tucked away in the garage (I will say, the first couple times you drive in and out of the garages is an experience). We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation, our thanks to Rick & Diane for maintaining and offering such nice accommodations and to Monica for her part in everything coming together so nicely. We would absolutely recommend this to family, friends or anyone interested in a trip to Playa.

Playa getaway

First time using VRBO and the process was effortless. Owners where very accommodating and helpfully. Condo was as described. Location was perfect because we wanted to be able to walk to restaurants, beach and shopping. Was a pleasant break from the resort scene. Would recommend this to a friend or anyone interested in a trip to Playa. Thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay.

Nice Condo and Great Location

This is the second time I have stayed at this condo and really enjoyed the accommodations. The location is great only 2 blocks from 5th avenue. The listing description and photos are accurately reflected. The condo is clean and well maintained. It has a full kitchen and maid service is supplied once a week. The property manager is excellent. She is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The owner is very helpful when booking and answering any questions you have. There are several good restaurants just down 10th st. and around that area close to the condo. Walmart is close by and there is also a convenience store on the street level. I would recommend this condo and would stay there again.

Great Stay and Great Location

My family and I stayed here for 8 nights and everything from the booking process through the stay was perfectly smooth. Rick was very helpful and accommodating during the booking process. When we arrived, things in the condo were exactly as we were told. There was an issue with one of the AC units the first day we were there but the property manager (Monica) had it resolved the next day. The unit was clean and well set-up for 4 people. The building is quiet but still close to 5th Ave, the beach and all the other amenities. We had a great stay and wish we were still there.

Charming Vacation Property

This is a well maintained clean property in an excellent location. The pictures and description are accurate. The pool area is a little weak. The owners were great to deal with. We recommend the "bambu bar" (1 block up, on the way to the beach), the food was great and the prices were reasonable. Easy walking to everything! (Mega, 5ave, beach). The streetside bedroom gets some traffic noise but it's ok. We plan on returning!!

Excellent Stay and Great Location

We stayed at this condo in February. It was spacious comfortable and clean. It is located 3 blocks from the beach and there are excellent restaurants situated close to the condo. The owner was helpful answering any questions and concerns. The property manager was also very helpful and willing to answer any concerns we had. The rooftop is a bonus to enjoy at any time. Wal-Mart is 2 blocks away. The kitchen is equipped with anything that is required for your stay. There is a mini store right at the location on the main floor; prices were the same as Wal-Mart. Water is also available at the store, which was very convenient. The beds were comfortable and maid service was also supplied once a week. Beach towels were available in the condo. Great place and I would stay here again. The listing was accurate regarding the location and the photos.

Great place and fabulous location

My wife and I and another couple stayed in this condo in November 2011 and found it to be very comfortable and clean. There was plenty of room for the four of us and having the rooftop deck was a big bonus. The kitchen is set up for any kind of cooking but with so many great restaurants around we didn't use it much. This condo was a great spot to watch all of the events happening in the city square across the road including, at that time, the raising of the town Christmas tree. The location is perfect as it is fairly quiet but yet just a few blocks to Fifth Avenue for shopping and the beach and great restaurants. We'd highly recommend it for a relaxing stay and hope we can stay there on our next visit.

Great Habitation

Location,location. location. Laundry & Convenience store within the block. Municipal plaza park across street great for walking & exercise. All the basics in Kitchen, Beach towels, grill, etc on site. Walmart 2 blocks . Near Quinta & Beach , yet quiet. Will stay there again next Playa trip. Execellent and no problems of any kind.

This condo is owned by Rick and Diane Odegard of Grand Forks, ND. Rick is a retired veterinarian and former owner of Kindness Animal Hospital in Grand Forks and Diane is a retired Florist. Rick enjoys hunting, fishing, and flying. Diane's hobbies include quilting and fishing. We both enjoy scuba diving and got our certification in Playa del Carmen.
