Blue Haven Lake House: New, modern, and beautifully decorated vacation home. Walking distance to downtown and the beach.

INSIDE THE HOME

Your home away from home. This 2-story newly built home has all the amenities and modern features you will need. The main floor features an open floor design centered around the family room and kitchen, perfect for cozy gatherings and a centralized conversation space. The kitchen features modern amenities and a large farmhouse table that can seat 8-10 with a large island and additional seating for 3. In the hallway, you will find a half bath and laundry closet. Also, located on this floor is a relaxing master bedroom complete with a private ensuite and large walk-in closet.

The second floor has 2 additional bedrooms and another full bath with a tub.

OUTDOOR SPACE

Enjoy 2 levels of functional gathering spaces. From the back door, is a connected deck with modern seating and a propane grill. Immediately below the deck, is a concrete patio with additional seating for 6, a table, and a fire pit. Whether kids or adults, grab a ball, frisbee, or whatever outdoor activity and enjoy the huge lawn.
Parking: Parking is provided for 3 cars in the driveway. Street parking is available too.

The home sleeps 9. All bed linens and bath linens are provided.

South Haven family vacation

We had a wonderful stay! It’s a 10 minute walk to both downtown and the beach. Great location and great property!

Everything went pretty easily with check-in. The kitchen had everything that we needed. We had no problem with Wi-Fi access. The outside area was enjoyed by all. We had a great time in the area. Enjoyed the waterfront.

House was very comfortable and well stocked. Within walking distance to Kid’s Corner, downtown, and the beach. This is our second trip to South Haven and we’d return to this property!

Great house

The house was perfect for our weekend getaway. There were 4 adults and 4 kids and we never felt crowded. The house was super clean and close to everything.

Lovely rental, excellent weekend stay!

Small family reunion weekend. The rental accommodated our whole family nicely. We comfortably gathered, cooked on the back deck grill and enjoyed sharing all of our meals together at the massive and beautiful dinner table. The entire home was impeccably clean when we arrived. The beds were comfy. The finishes in the entire home seem like that of a newly built home and it was very beautifully decorated.We would highly recommend this rental.The location was exactly like we’d hoped it would be.If you stay, be sure to stop by the Farmer’s Market held every Saturday morning in downtown So. Haven. It’s a super fun experience!

Perfect little getaway!

We are a family of 6 who came for a little 3 night getaway. The house was spacious and very clean! It had everything we needed to make a few meals at home. The backyard was perfect for hanging out after a day at the beach. We loved the walk ability to downtown South Haven and the beach.

Great space for family of four

The home was exactly as advertised. Very clean and comfortable for our family of 4 (parents 2 toddlers). The only snag we had was with the door code. Both the text and the email we received had blank spaces where the code should have been, which we didn’t notice until we were at the house. And after a long car ride with 2 kids and 2 dogs it was pretty irritating. It took about 30 minutes to hear back from the property management with the code. They did offer a late check out for the inconvenience. Other than that, though, we loved the house, proximity to playground and beach, restaurants, etc. and they had a great selection of games too. We were saved by the wagon they had on the side of the house - we used it every day! We would definitely return to this property.

Family fun at Blue Haven

The location and neighborhood are terrific. Such a beautiful town with very friendly people. What a treat! The house is nice and was functional for our needs. It felt a little bit like the attention to detail was lacking, so we recommend a couple of improvements, because we would stay there again, but these things would make it top notch:Re: check-in, we didn't get the code for the door and had to call for it. The person I spoke with could have been friendlier. Coffee mugs that will not tip over and that have useable handles would make life easier. It seems like a small thing, but every time we wanted coffee or tea we noticed it (also, the coffee maker was full of old coffee when we arrived). The grill was on its side on the deck so we couldn't use it.It would be good to have a few kitchen towels.It is nice to have bedside tables and lamps for those of us who like to read at night. The pillows are all quite hard and thick. It would be nice to have a variety of pillow types to choose from.All this said, I think this place has great potential!

A few things to consider….

We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and in a great location. There were a few things to note. The screen door entering the house was broken and off the track. I found 2 old dishclothes in the garbage disposal and there is something metal in the disposal. It made a clanging sound when we ran it. The front panel on the cabinet below the sink fell off twice onto my sisters foot. I put it back on but i would tighthen it. One light in the living room needs a new bulb. I could not find another one to replace it in the house. There were a few ants in the upstairs bathroom and down in the kitchen. Entry way rug was very dirty and could use a wash. I have pictures i can send if needed. Overall we had a great weekend. Just a few things to note. Please call me or reach out with any questions. Thank you. Allison freeman

Great stay!

We were able to walk to downtown, the Kids Corner playground and the beach in a short time. This was especially important since our group of 6 included kids age 4 and 8. The house was nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals.

Great place!

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The location was good, we could get downtown, to the beach and to kid's corner easily either on foot or by bike. We loved the back deck, complete with gas grill and fire pit. Cool Michigan evenings meant s'mores by the fire.

Perfect cozy neighborhood getaway home by the beach

We stayed at this VRBO in town for a wedding and extended weekend with some family. It was exactly as represented by the listing. It had all the basic needs for cooking, cleaning, and grilling. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the back yard is great for grilling out and hanging out by the fire at the end of the night. It's perfectly situated in a pretty quiet neighborhood. It's a 10 min walk to the beach and kids playground. The hosts were extremely gracious and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend and even stay again.

Brand new house

This house looked to be a new build, and it was very clean and up to date. My only suggestion would be to add blackout blinds to the upstairs bedroom, which gets direct morning sun.

Great Family Vacation

The house was everything it said it was. Perfect house for our family of 5 but would have accommodated more comfortably. Fifteen minutes to the beach, downtown area!!! Never got in the car until time to leave. Hoping for a repeat next summer!!

Great long weekend in South Haven

We had six friends get together in this house for a long weekend. The house was just as advertised and walking distance to downtown. We had a great time and recommend the place.
