Welcome to the Second Wind... where peace, relaxation (and a little bit of fun) will rejuvenate your soul.  As soon as you walk through the front door, the scenery will take your breath away! Beautiful deck and outdoor dining with a gorgeous view of the lake, perfect for family gatherings. The common area in the home is an open concept with ample space for cooking and gathering with your friends and family. Grill out on the deck and enjoy outdoor dining overlooking the lake! You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Because some of our homeowners are allergic various animals… we do not allow pets of any kind. Emotional support animals are not allowed. Service animals may be allowed only with prior notification if the animal services an individual with a disability and notifies us as to the specific task the animal is trained to do. In addition, some of our guests are allergic to pets and book only homes which do not allow pets. Therefore, we have a Strict ‘No Pet’ policy.

Relaxing View of the Lake

The home is pretty, roomy. clean and has a nice view of the lake. The rooms are spread out which gives people privacy. The bunk room is best for kids, they are a bit tight for adults. The kitchen has a Kurig and pods, blenders, crockpot, toaster, and just about any kitchen utensil/hadget you will need. The house has three walk-in showers and a walk-in tub. I is suitable for elderly but there are a few steps to maneuver. The beds were a bit tall for my elderly mother to get in and out of easily. The host includes special touches and is very responsive which makes the overall experience nice. I fully recommend this rental.

Beautiful place to stay!

This house is beautiful! So clean and the property owner Teri was so nice and quick to respond to any issues we had. The view of the lake was gorgeous and my whole family couldn’t stop saying how nice the house was! So much space too! Totally recommend this place to everyone!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! Clean and spacious rooms, updated kitchen, and fabulous deck space. The views of canyon lake are incredible, and we loved the walk down to the waterfront area. We would highly recommend this property for families!

A spectacular place for a fortieth anniversary celebration

The listing was exactly as the property turned out to be. Wonderful amenities, wonderful communication, the house was spotless and the location was nothing short of stunning. Our family (five adults, one baby) felt this was in every way the perfect rental.

This was a great property for our family. Lots of space to hang out and beautiful lake views. We would definitely stay here again. Teri, the host, was super responsive with any questions we had and it was easy to communicate with her.

Lake life at it’s best!

This home was a WOW as soon as we walked in! We were immediately amazed by the beautiful views of the lake. The greeting basket left by the host was a wonderful surprise. We totally enjoyed it. The SmartBoard in the kitchen made checking in an ease. We really liked that the whole home was clean and that the kitchen was stocked with plates, cups, utensils, etc. The host was very responsive. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues which she resolved as quickly as possible. She even delivered a basketball so that we could enjoy the goal in the front yard. The business that we rented the pontoon boat was literally right around the corner. It was so convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed this home and feel like the host did a wonderful job in making us feel welcome. Thank you!

amazing views, relaxing house

The house location and how they took advantage of the view during construction is amazing. The outdoor deck with the grill was basically where we spent the whole time. So relaxing! Teri was also super responsive when we needed help and the digital concierge tablet helped in getting late checkout easily!

Great place for family

We very much enjoyed our stay at Canyon Lake. The house is lovely and the view is magnificent. The owners were very responsive when we had some plumbing issues. We'll definitely stay here again when we're back in Texas!

Wonderful View

We had a great time on the lake. The view is amazing from the back porch. Wish the bunk beds had more room between them and the third bunk bed wasn’t so high from the ground. Also wish the pantry wasn’t locked. We had a hard time finding places to store our groceries. But overall our stay was great and we would come again.

Relaxing Weekend at Canyon Lake

Our stay was an absolute delight. The view was amazing and could be seen from practically any room in the house. The ample space in the house was perfect for a comfortable, relaxing stay no matter the size of the family. The path to the lake was pretty rocky but it didn’t affect our fun. My daughter caught the only fish in Canyon Lake, but it was wonderful to be able to spend the day in the sun. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful property and lovely scenery. We definitely recommend this property! Thank you Teri and Ronbir for being wonderful hosts!!!

Ranbir & I met in 2018 and married in 2020... God truly reached into my heart to create the perfect man. We love the same things, think the same way, and elevate kindness as the binding trait with not only us, but those we are surrounded by. Between the two of us, we have 5 children ranging from the ages of 11-31 and 3 grandchildren... or, munchkins as we like to refer to them... because, neither one of us feel old enough to be grandparents. We are active and love boating, snorkeling, skiing, hiking, or just sitting out on the deck enjoying the beautiful sunset with a good glass of wine. Dreams do come true. I’ve always dreamt of having a cute place on the water as a second home. The water has always been a place of peace and calm for me. My husband, Ranbir loves the water as much as I do... we are always looking for any opportunity to be on or around the water. Ranbir & I have found a cute little spot on a hill overlooking Canyon Lake in the Texas Hill Country... close to the Guadalupe River through New Braunfels. When we first discovered this little gem, our impression was, WOW! Why look at anything else? It is breathtaking. The view from the back deck is spectacular and resembles the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean with the rolling hills of the Virgin Islands... I'm so very grateful.

Blessings are meant to be shared, so we are opening up our little bit of heaven to you… We’d love to welcome you and/or your family and friends to experience a ‘Second Wind’ experience to relax and rejuvenate.

The VIEW is breathtaking from almost every room in the house! The outdoor deck is a great place to enjoy an evening meal over a sunset, listen to rolling water among peaceful chimes and a gorgeous atmosphere. Bluetooth speakers on the deck allow you to enjoy the music you love.

Working remotely? You can set up outside with our WiFi in God's outdoor office space or find any of the many comfortable spots within the house.

The kitchen is a chef's dream, with ample space to prepare a meal fit for the most discriminating foodie.

Vaulted ceilings with stylishly spacious rooms create a comfortable and welcoming stay.
