This was one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. The house was cozy and in pristine condition. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials, and there were extra linens and comforters that made everything very comfortable. There were games and playsets for all age groups, which was a great bonus. The shed was also well stocked with chairs.Whether enjoying the fireplace or the extra room in the back, the house truly offers something for every season—summer or winter. The check-in instructions were clear, and communication with the host, Gabe, was flawless. He was also very accommodating with our special requests.We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend quality time with family and friends. The location is perfect—close to everything, yet surrounded by trees that make it feel peacefully secluded from the city’s hustle and bustle.

The place was perfect for a friends getaway! The listing is accurate. It is very well stocked and very clean. The backyard was awesome with woods backing up the property and the quaint little “shed” for another gathering spot. We were worried that the highway was in front of the property but we couldnt hear much noise once inside. Communication with the owner was great, he was very quick in response and easy to work with. Will definitely consider this place next time we hit Wisconsin Dells!

Stayed her for a golfing trip with some friends, I must say the place is very accommodating to large groups of people. The property is unique with an outdoor bar, plenty of room in the backyard for games. The check-in process was very smooth and Gabe was cool about everything. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

The family stayed here while vacationing in the Dells. Location is pretty convenient to get to all of the things we did while here. The property was clean and communication with the host was good. We had 5 adults and 1 child and were able to enjoy our time.

Great place to stay!

The Secret Cottage was exactly as it was described! A lovely home stocked with everything you could ask for and more. 7 of us stayed there but 9 more family members stopped over for a cook out and there was plenty of room for all. Really loved the “shed” in the backyard. We had a great time and would not be afraid to stay here again!

Hidden gem

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very comfortable, very clean, and worked well for our group. We had four adults and three children staying at the house for a long weekend. Because we stayed during the winter, it limited how much space we could utilize during our stay. There’s no extra room or game room for the kids to play in, and it was way too cold for them to go outside. So in that case, they felt a little cooped up. Other than that, we had a great time and the house worked well.

Great place for family

Met up with my girlfriend and her kids and this was perfect spot close to Dells. Secluded with outdoor space in back. Even in the winter it was nice to stay. I would suggest adding a hot tub in the chill shed for extra amenity

Spacious, Comfortable, and Great Value – Perfect for Groups!

This property was a gem! With three full bathrooms and plenty of cozy beds, it was the ideal setup for our group, offering incredible value for the price. The layout provided everyone with plenty of space and privacy, which made the stay comfortable and easy. The outdoor area was a fantastic bonus—perfect for unwinding together after a day out. Our host was wonderful, with clear instructions and quick, friendly responses to any questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would absolutely book this place again. Highly recommend it for families or groups looking for both space and comfort!

Conflicted

The Manager responded very quickly to all of my messages and the one he did not get to, he wrote a very nice apology. I labeled this conflicted because I did feel like the manager was super nice and responsive. Even though there was nothing he could do at the times of response to fix any of the issues as I had already taken care of it. I would say that this property is not really meant for a group of adults but better suited for a large family with small children. I did however enjoy that once we were back at the house it was relaxing and quiet. Please note nothing was bad per say, just could have been better. Good: Location was wonderful. Town was an 8 min drive, but when we got back it was nice and quiet. Manager super responsive Living Space very open Kitchen: Nicely stocked Beds: Queen and King very comfortable Wish was better: There were not 4 bedrooms even though all the beds advertise where there The single is located in an enclosed mud room. There were someone else's drinks in the fridge when we got there. One half drank. ( I forget to send this in my one of my messages) We threw them out. Towels: There was one left for each of us staying. (Manager did apologize for this) We had already went and bought towels. Grill could have been cleaned Grass could have been cut

Enjoyed our stay

Had a great weekend visiting Dells attractions which were about 15 mins away. The place was super clean and also well-stocked with plates and pots and cooking basics like salt and pepper. The backyard is huge and a great place for kids to run or make s'mores in the fire pit. Three full bathrooms makes it easy to host multiple small families. One note though is that the fourth bedroom with the single twin bed is only accessible only through the primary bedroom or through an outside door. It also lacks air conditioning, which meant (in our case) someone had to sleep on the pull out couch instead.

My family rehabbed this house and transformed it into a cottage that you feel is the best kept secret only known to those who have stayed. Refurbished items repurposed into art and design are found thorough the property and make for a unique experience not duplicated in the cookie cutter world.
The Secret Cottage is for those that are searching for something out of the ordinary.

A huge, private yard with a fire pit area and "Chill Shed" allow you to have a real Up North experience and get outside and have a crackling fire. If the weather isn't cooperating (raining/windy) head to the "Chill Shed" and chill!
