Also downtown is the Swan River Nature Trail that runs along the Wild Mile section of the Swan River perfect for an easy 4 mile hike or bike. Adjacent to the golf course is the Montana Athletic Club housing a complete work out center, pool, racquetball, tennis courts, personal trainers, yoga, Pilates and spinning classes.

In the winter, the Flathead Valley is famous for its world-class skiing and wide range of winter activities. There are two ski resorts in the area including the local favorite Whitefish Mountain Resort and the family-friendly Blacktail Mountain Ski Area. Whitefish Mountain Resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! Visitors to the area can also enjoy ice fishing on Flathead Lake, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in Glacier National Park, and snowmobiling with one of the local outfitters.
