Double Bluff Retreat

Come get away from it all and visit our little slice of heaven on Whidbey Island. Just minutes from the Clinton Ferry Terminal, downtown Langley and about a mile from Double Bluff Beach - this property offers a peaceful retreat not too far off the beaten path but just far enough. There are many nearby wineries, tap rooms, shops, and restaurants as well as some great trails, parks, and beaches. The guest home sits above our utility garage on the 5 acre property it shares with our family home. It has peekaboo views of Mt. Rainier, Puget Sound and neighboring farm land. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, and the grounds are beautiful. The property features a trail for walking, running and biking. 3 times around is approximately 1 mile. We look forward to hosting your next weekend getaway! Unique Features are....

Beautiful. quiet location which was just what I was looking for after a stressful cross-country relocation and one of only a few places that welcome cats (huge plus). It was a great place to stay while looking for permanent housing and I loved exploring quaint downtown Freeland. The bed was very comfortable, and it had all the amenities to make it feel like a perfect little home away from home. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for picturesque spot to stay while exploring beautiful Whidbey Island. My only regret was not being able to stay longer!

The home was beautiful. Cozy and inviting. Big kitchen, comfortable beds - the bunk bed was full over full and our adult kids were comfortable. Was thankful to have somewhere very close to family for the holidays. We were busy for Christmas - and wished we could have taken advantage of more of the property! It’s a really pretty place!!

Outstanding Whidbey Island Getaway Spot

We stayed at this wonderful place for two weeks. It has everything you want and need, all set within the most amazing 5 acres of beautifully landscaped property. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. You’ll love this property!

The best place ever

I have stayed at a lot of great vacation rentals over the years and this place is my absolute favorite. The place was so comfortable, the hosts so hospitable, and the location has everything you need within a 5 mile radius. Just fantastic!

Whidbey Island Get-Away

We very much enjoyed our stay at this Whidbey Island property. The guest house is about 15 minutes from the town of Langley so it is convenient to the shops and restaurants there. But the rural setting of the property makes it very quiet and peaceful. Also the walking path around the perimeter of the owners' acreage was much appreciated by our pooch!

Outstanding house, location, and experience!

I stayed at this house over the Christmas holiday with my family. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had all our questions answered. The location is very convenient to all that Whidbey has to offer, close to the beach, and also less than a 5 minute drive to shops and restaurants. Would recommend this place to stay in a heartbeat!

This darling property had absolutely everything we needed. It was comfortable and very well appointed. We could tell that the owners worked very hard to make this a fun place to stay. We loved it!

Whidbey Vacation

We had an awesome time. The rental was super clean. There was plenty of space for the three of us and our 2 Aussie Dogs. The rental is very close to the beach, we walked the dogs to Double Bluff Beach every morning. We were very close to everything we wanted, groceries, parks for hiking, Langley, Coopeville, and Fort Casey for a picnic. I would recommend investing in new blinds as you had to open and close them by turning each one over one at a time. Cooking our meals was a bit challenging as the kitchen supplies are very limited. But we made it all work out and had a great time.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean and in good condition. The property is beautiful & in close proximity to beach, hiking areas & dining. We enjoyed watching the boys ride around on their J.D. tractors. You might consider having a pitcher in the Kithchen. I brought frozen lemonaide but there wasn't anything to make it in & maybe a new corkscrew.

Great last minute getaway!

This was exactly what I was looking for! A quick getaway with my dog before starting a new job. Excellent location and the apartment was wonderful! (I wouldn't hesitate to live there!) Everything I needed was available. Relaxing and quiet area, a real taste of island life. Walked the property trail several times and enjoyed the fire pit. Great stay!

Amazing

We were on the island for a wedding and going “home” to relax couldn’t be more comforting. The owners are responsive and kind. Waking up to the garden made my 8 year old daughter so happy. The location was perfect for us and so close the Double Bluff Tide Pool Beach.

Conor's property was perfect for us! We wanted to stay near the rest of the family after the funeral and service, but didn't want to be right in the mix because we wanted to sleep! He answered all of my questions promptly! Great spot

Beautiful Whidbey Stay

We loved our stay at the property. Me and my wife along with me parents all stayed there together and loved it. The guest house was spacious enough that we all felt very comfortable and the 5 acre property and was beautiful and provided a great way to experience the summer on the island without having to go anywhere. The fitness trail on around the property was also great feature that we took advantage of daily. Andria and Conor were very friendly and generous. They encouraged us to pick fresh potatoes and lettuce from their garden that were delicious. Would love to go back,

60th Birthday Celebration

We had 5 adults in our party, the hostess provided an extra queen sized air mattress that we chose to use. The fire pit and tiki torches were nice. Open concept floor plan was great for socializing. The beds were super comfortable and the bedding was amazing. The towels were fluffy and soft.

Great property - very peaceful

The property is as described. The apartment is above a garage next to the main house on the property. The apartment is well laid out with two bedrooms, a large kitchen, a living room, one bathroom and a deck that extends the length of the apartment. The king bed was very comfortable and we had zero issues during our stay. Communication was great with the owners and I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again. It was great being very close to Dancing Fish winery, Greenbank farms and Double Bluff off-leash beach.

Relaxing getaway

My family had a great time at this location. We loved being close to Double Bluff Beach, and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the view of the grounds was peaceful. We would stay here again!

Soft linens, beautiful garden, spacious accommodations

Well appointed, super clean, super comfy beds, husband able to watch football. Lovely touch that we were able to harvest some sweet carrots from the garden for our dinner. Nice balcony with spacious view and BBQ. Great record collection too.

A little lacking in kitchen ware, seasonings, books, games, puzzles that I’ve typically seen at similar rentals. A little too warm at night and the air conditioner kept resetting itself higher. Pretty, farmland views, very private. Nice feature to be able to pick fresh vegetables out of the garden.

Wonderful

We so enjoyed our stay at the apartment! It was such a wonderful place for us and a wonderful yard for the dogs to run free and romp over the grounds. It is located near Freeland to explore with a great grocery store and Rocket Tacos that has awesome food! The owners are right next door and have two of the sweetest little boys who we throughly enjoyed. The owners are around if needed but totally leave you alone to enjoy this great rental. Just a mile away is a beach that is beautiful and has a 2mile off-leash stretch for the pups to enjoy. The rental is nicely furnished with very comfy beds and the patio is wonderful for relaxing and enjoying the view of the yard, flowers and peak-a-boo view of Mt Rainer. Just lovely. We loved the place and the owners and hope to return soon. I highly recommend the Langley house. There are stairs to the apartment, but we are old and they were no trouble for us. Thanks so much for sharing your house!!

Awesome, inviting home

Our family of four stayed here, and we could not have been more pleased with the space. The entire home was very clean, and we felt so welcome the moment we walked in. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the deck was a fantastic spot to relax. Conor and Andria promptly answered all my questions, and it's apparent that they want their guests to have a wonderful time. The next time we stay on Whidbey we will definitely check to see if this home is available.
