Escape the hustle & bustle of daily life, dig your toes in the sugar-white sands or take a dip in the private Gulf front, heated pool or relax on the top level balcony bed swing! This home features an open-concept kitchen & living area, built-in bookcase, wet-bar, spacious dining area & gorgeous sunset views of the Gulf of America from one of the spacious balconies on the main or top level! Plenty of room for the whole family with 5 spacious bedrooms, including 2 upper level gulf front primary suites, 1 main level king en-suite, 1 bedroom with double bunk beds (3 twin & 1 full) perfect for kids & 1 queen bedroom all with private en-suites. You get the best of both worlds with the calming waters of St. Joseph Bay across the street & the pristine Gulf waters just steps away! Explore the Forgotten Coast, scalloping, fishing, kayaking, bicycling & relaxing in paradise! The Tranquil Turtle is an allergy friendly home so we do not allow pets. Needs Work

We have vacationed on Cape San Blas for the past 20 years. We have not had issues like this year for any of our prior visits. We were very happy with the location of this home. It's a very nice vacation home but it need's a lot of work and updates. We arrived to two screens on the back porch half torn out and flapping in the wind, no wifi, a living room TV that would not turn on, the outlets on the bar not working and one of the sliding glass doors not locking. The owner and manager took our calls and arranged for service. On Monday, two contractors came and verified the issues but did not fix them. On Tuesday, an electrician arrived and fixed a short on the porch that fixed the wifi, tv and outlets. He informed us that he was asked to swap outlet switches for the hot tub and he'd come in the afternoon to do that. We asked him to do it a different week, but he was told to complete that so he came back. After he came back, we found that the hot tub no longer worked. We called the property manager about the hot tub. On Thursday, repair people came out to fix the hot tub. During our stay, we had eight service visits over four days. Numerous other service issues exist that we advised the property owner about including a broken pool gate, broken pool chairs and a non working tv in the bunk room. We did not want service people out for these items. The owner and property manager are kind people but there were just too many issues with this home.

We loved the house. I have never been in rental property that was so well stocked in the kitchen. The location to the beach was great. We would love to come back again.

Family Vacation

This was our first stay at the Tranquil Turtle as our usual home was booked. We loved the home. It was beautiful and extremely clean. This end of the Cape doesn’t have as much beach/surf but this actually worked well for us as the kids and my 88-year-old father had a shorter walk to get to the beach. Pool was wonderful. Home incredibly stocked. Sophi was a delight to work with. At the end of the trip, my dad asked if we would be getting this house again next time. My favorite feature of the house was the swinging bed outside of the master bedroom overlooking the Gulf. I spent a lot of time swinging, reading, and napping!

Amazing

This was the perfect spot for our family. The bathroom in each room gave everyone their own space. The house is furnished with everything thing you need. There is no long haul to the beach. It is only steps away. The outdoor bathroom is so smart to have. The pool was amazing.

Best Beach Rental!!!

This was our second stay at Tranquil Turtle, and it reinforced that it’s the only place we want to stay for a FL beach vacation! Quiet, secluded beach (on yet another spring break week!), tons of shell hunting, dolphin sightings, and freedom to do beach bonfires—we couldn’t ask for more!Sophi’s house is the most well appointed rental—every thoughtful detail, plenty of hooks for hanging swimsuits and towels, luggage racks for suitcases, beach chairs, toys, and pool toys. Shuffleboard, fuseball table, and pool table were all very loved by the teens in our group. Kitchen has everything you could possibly want, including two fridges, and a separate ice maker, and plenty of seating for our group of 9. (Also, we would love to know where you got the living room chaise—it was sooooo comfy!!) Beds were super cozy (we alllllll slept in each day), and linens are top notch. You can’t beat having 4 master suites, and 2 of them with ocean views and a porch swing to enjoy it. We will 100% be back!!!

Calm Seas

House setup was perfect for our multi-generational trip with the ground floor bedroom/bath. Very well stocked with all cooking pots/pans we needed. Light repair in process on the hot tub meant we choice not to utilize that, but the pool was great for the littles. Would stay again.

Great stay at Tranquil Turtle

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tranquil Turtle. The home was very comfortable and we appreciated that linens and beach towels were provided. We enjoyed good fishing on the beach in front of the house, the pool and hot tub and even enjoyed a campfire on the beach at night. Just beautiful! The owner was so kind and always quick to respond if we had any questions.

Annual family trip

The tranquil turtle home is beautiful! It was perfect for our family of 11. Because we had red flags / double red flags for part of our stay having the in ground pool and hot tub was a plus. The house was clean and very well stocked. Questions about the surrounding area(grocery shopping) and type of coffee filters needed were promptly answered.

Loved The Tranquil Turtle!

The Tranquil Turtle met all our expectations! Beautiful spacious house on the beach with gorgeous sunset views. Our family of 11 enjoyed the private heated pool, hot tub, outdoor pool table, shuffleboard, & foosball. The host provided beach toys, pool inflatables, beach chairs, umbrellas, and tons of beach towels that we didn't have to pack. The host responded to my questions quickly. We sincerely enjoyed staying at the Tranquil Turtle! and definitely recommend it for family vacations.

Family vacation

This property is everything it presents in pictures. The location to the beach is perfect and the outdoor activities at the house (pool, hot tub, games) were a hit with our family. The living room, kitchen and both decks offered gathering spaces that worked well for our group. The kitchen was well stocked and the separate ice maker was a hit! Love this property and would go here again.

Amazing Vacation

We were a family of 9 and there was something to make our vacation special for everyone. The beautiful sunsets off our balcony, the view of the Gulf at our door.The pool and hot tub were fabulous. The incredibly well stocked kitchen. The beautiful decor. This was a vacation we will fondly remember. The host was wonderful and responded to my questions quickly.

Loved Cape San Blas

Loved the location and layout of the house and proximity to the beach was fabulous!! Little upsetting we did not feel comfortable using hot tub due to electrical issue. Overall house was great !

Great Location Steps from the Beach

We just spent a week at this wonderful house with our family and truly enjoyed it. It was our first time at Cape San Blas and everyone loved it. It was like having your own private beach. The kids enjoyed both the ocean and the wonderful pool. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need: 2 coffee makers that could operate either as a single cup or a full pot, air fryer, huge boil pot, plenty of pots and pans and utensils. We did one big shopping trip at the Piggly Wiggly in Port St. Joe but everything else we picked up at The Trading Post which was just minutes away. The kids also made several trips to get treats at the Cape Coffee and Ice Cream shop. We bought some fish and shrimp at St. Joe Shrimp Company which was in that same area on the Cape and had a shrimp boil/fish fry - delicious! We did eat dinner one night out at Cone Heads and everyone enjoyed it. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the amazing sunsets every night right out the back door. They were absolutely amazing. All in all it was a fantastic trip that everyone enjoyed. Also, want to mention that Sophie and Mollie were great when we had any questions.

Perfect Beach Vacation

The Tranquil Turtle was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 6 grandchildren. The house was well- stocked and we loved having the pool and closeness of the beach. The sunsets were amazing, no crowds, plenty of seashells and we counted 8 sea turtle nests!! Mollie was always quick to answer our questions! Thank you for a perfect vacation!!

First time at CSB

This was our first visit to Cape San Blas and it did not disappoint! This house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need on a beach vacation. The pool was cleaned every other day, pool and beach toys were plentiful and the kitchen, wow! It had multiple crockpots and blenders plus an air fryer! We enjoyed playing the board games and UNO in the evenings. Our only complaint was the step down to the beach, which we could only blame Mother Nature for the erosion. I brought it to Sophi’s attention and she was very attentive and appreciative. We will be back!

Our favorite vacation home do far!!

We have have been renting houses for our family of 15 for 15 years and this is our most favorite yet! Sophi’s house is fabulous, clean and taken care of, and has all the amenities you could ask for! The private boardwalk and closeness to the beach itself was perfect for us! The beach had some erosion from storms the week before, but it was plenty for us, and we didn’t have to fight for beach space like other areas. The house is closer to the mainland which is great yet beautiful sand and water! This week was perfect weather, no seaweed, no stingrays, no jelly fish! Close to the pontoon rental at the park so we did two boats to the top of the peninsula and it was perfect!! Sophi was quick to respond to my many requests and accommodating!!

The Cape is a bit of "Heaven on Earth" that we love and have always wanted to be able to share with our family, friends & guests. You will find that we try to provide all the extras that we can and are always looking for feedback so that we can make this the vacation home you want to return to year after year!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The Tranquil Turtle sits right after the rocks on North Cape San Blas. The sunsets are amazing and once you visit you will understand why they call it The Forgotten Coast. Where else can you drive on the beach (with permit), build a fire, or walk your dog? This beach has miles of beautiful white sand, the shells are awesome and so is the fishing. If you are looking for a busy commercial-type area, this is not the place for you. If you want a laid back, peaceful beach vacation then we hope to make the Turtle your "Home Away from Home."
