Our vacation rental, “CHEZ ELIE”
is located in the heart of the charming little village of Comprégnac, right on the banks of the Tarn River.
The village is known for its narrow streets lined with stone houses, typical of the Grands Causses region, and is a center for truffle farming in the Aveyron department.
It is situated in the Tarn Gorges, 12 km from Millau (with all amenities), 5 km from Peyre—designated one of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”—and the Millau Viaduct.
The house, which can comfortably accommodate 6-8-(10), has just been completely renovated and is equipped with fiber-optic internet. In front of the house, there is a shaded playground for children and a pétanque court.
With a total area of 120 m², the vacation rental is laid out as follows:
First floor:
- an entryway leading to a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, fridge-freezer, induction cooktop, dual-chamber coffee maker, dishes, and all necessary kitchen utensils.
- a living room with a corner sofa bed and a very large-screen TV.
- a game/reading room.
- a half-bath
Upstairs:
- 4 bedrooms (2 beds measuring 160 x 200, 1 bed measuring 140 x 190, 2 bunk beds measuring 90 x 190), baby equipment available upon request,
- a bathroom with a toilet.
Outside: an open-air wooden deck overlooking a quiet street, featuring a dining area.
In the village, you’ll find plenty of free parking spaces right near the cottage.
Security deposit and tourist taxes are due upon arrival.
Housekeeping, bed linens, and bath towels are provided upon request for an additional fee.
Optional rates upon request: Cleaning fee €90, bed linen rental: €8 per person, bath towel set rental: €4 per person.
Heating fee (oil-fired boiler) upon request: €20 per day
Activities in the region: swimming in the Tarn River (2 unsupervised beaches 100 m away; bathing water quality analyses and results posted on compliant signs), fishing, hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, rock climbing, canoeing, sketching hikes, rail biking, bungee jumping, …
Sights: Comprégnac – Peyre (designated a PBVF site), Millau and its viaduct, Roquefort, the Maison de la Truffe in Comprégnac, the Aven Armand Cave, the Dargilan Cave, Micropolis, the Tarn Gorges, La Couvertoirade, …. A region rich in attractions and diverse activities.
Access: By car: A75 highway to Millau, then D41.
By train: Millau station on the Clermont-Ferrand/Béziers line.
By plane: Montpellier Airport (110 km away) or Rodez (75 km away).
Weekly rentals during peak season (July–August).
2–3-day weekend stays during mid-season, as well as weekly rentals or weekend stays over Christmas and New Year’s Day
