The house was huge and very clean! The kitchen had all of the tools and equipment we needed to make meals. The hot tub was such a nice amenity on the chillier days. This spot is also extremely walkable to two different beaches and tons of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Can't recommend this spot enough!

This is a beautiful home within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with more than enough pots, pans, dishes, appliances, etc. There are plenty of bath towels, 8 beach towels, 3 wagons, 8 plus beach chairs, and plenty of beach and pool toys. It was so nice having 2 washers and 3 dryers, especially with kids and after making use of the pool and hot tub. After a long day of beach time, you can get rested up for the next fun filled day in the most comfortable beds!!! It truly felt like our home away from home. Marsha is an amazing host and so easy to communicate with. We loved everything about Tybee and our stay here.

We have deep roots in Savannah and Tybee Island. Several of us were born there, some of us were married there. But now, all of us are spread out in FL, TN, and AL. Back in 2019, we started a family Thanksgiving tradition of meeting on Tybee Island to celebrate family and giving thanks for our blessings. We have stayed at several homes, but this one has been voted best of all! We will certainly look to come back year after year to this house and the hospitality of Marsha!

Beautiful home with wonderful hospitality

The home is beautiful and spacious with so many wonderful shaded porches. It’s a short walk to the beach and the pool and hot tub were very much appreciated, and not as common on Tybee. Marsha hosts with care and intention and was easy to reach and gave great suggestions for our time on Tybee!

This house is in such a great location - our group didn't have to use a car to get anywhere. Home is beuautiful with everything and more you would need on a vacation. Highly recommend to anyone spending time in Tybee!

Tybee Island Joy

The owners aptly named their place Tybee Island Joy and ensure you’ll have truly joyful time staying here. It’s a block or two walk to restaurants and shops on the south end as well as the pier. We rented golf carts and had a great time exploring g most of the island. Lovely, welcoming and attentive hosts and home. Highly recommend!

This house is in a perfect location. Restaurants, Beach, Stores, it was all so convenient, Savannah was just a 30 minute drive. This is a great house with plenty of beds. Thank you, Marsha! You always texted back in minutes, which was great!

So convenient

Upstairs livingroom area was so wide open and inviting. Backyard with pool and hottub were perfect to come home and relax. 5 minute walk to beach and tons of restaurants. I stayed in the master bedroom and from temperature to lighting to bedding, it was extremely comfortable.

Owner of Tybee Island Joy vacation rental, Marsha Marks, is an author of several books, and has been happily married since 1987 to the man of her dreams, Tom. They have one daughter, Mandy . They only own one vacation rental and take great pride in maintaining it and in the hundreds of 5 star reviews.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Tom and I met on the West Coast and always wanted a home near the beach, but were unable to pay LA prices. And hated LA traffic. When Tom took a job here in Savannah, we discovered Tybee Island and realized it was just 19 minutes from Downtown Savannah, and we loved the laid back Artsy, non-resort kind of feel. So, we looked for three years for the perfect piece of property - well, the perfect piece in our price range and in the location we wanted. We finally ended up buying a woman's back yard. We had the yard divided into a legal lot. And on that we built the dream: Tybee Island Joy
We are cllose to the shops, yet away from the crowds. Within walking distance to all the eating places, and especially close to The Breakfast Club! This lot, seemed to have it all, Location, Location, Location, plus, it was the only lot we could find that didn't look into someone elses house - our lot looks onto a 60 foot tall live Oak tree. And OK, I confess, it was the only lot for sale on the whole darn street. So we bought it.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The large spacious upstairs. The pool. The double convection ovens. The Master Suite that has three seperate sections and a private deck. The six burner cooktop with the pop up vent. The loft feel with tons of windows and natural light. The THREE large decks - two off each floor. The Air conditioned and insulated sleeping porch, that feels like a treehouse - on the top deck! Location, Location, Location.
