Peace and tranquility abound at this property! If you are looking for a place to reconnect or to just a quiet rest. Come enjoy “ The Simple Life”!There is a master suite and a 2nd room both booked separately. Both private baths. We are an event center with accommodations as well as a Croft farm. Come learn about our horses and experience some of their personalities and care. The walking trails are a perfect way to start your morning with a coffee. Lots of birds and photo opps available!

We felt very at home and enjoyed visiting with owner! This would not be for everyone but homey and loved by the owner! You must be ok with dogs and the great outdoors Really enjoyed our stay. Slept well!

Very cute ranch house!

Ms. Ashley was awesome!!! The stay was good and bed was veeeeery comfortable. Loved waking up and watching the ponies outside. The dogs were very sweet as well. Waking up to warm muffins was the best.

Simply Beautiful!!!

We held my sister's Bridal Shower under the trees on this gorgeous property. The owner made everything so easy and the price was just right! I will definitely be recommending this spot to friends!

Friendly comfort

The host was very nice, made me feel like I was at home. Bed was super comfortable and restful. Loves meeting their dog. Super sweet.

Relaxing

This place is amazing to relax and get away. Check in was super easy and Ms. Ashley is an amazing person. She does have two super cute fur babies. We hope to return in the future.

I wish I could give this review 6 stars!

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay while visiting family in Leavenworth (just a quick 20 minute drive away). We hit the jackpot! Ashley is a wonderful host, and everything exceeded our expectations. The house is beautiful and in a nice quiet area in the rolling hills of NW Missouri. There are horses, as well as Ashley's dogs Isa and Roux, who are sweet and friendly. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need to make anything, or use the gas grill outside for BBQ. I cannot stress enough how welcome Ashley made us feel, and we will return again and again. A great value and hidden gem, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

I stayed with the big dogs

Yes, the dogs were BIG...and they were such sweet and mild creatures. If you have a big dog phobia, this is the place to make your phobia go away. Very clean house in a very quiet and beautiful setting. I'd stay again.

Horsing Around!

Stayed with Ashley while we ride our horses at Broxton Bridge Plantation. There was another party renting at the property at the same time which made things a bit congested.

Country Charm

If you are looking for some country charm, Lazy Dog Acres is your fix. Ashley and her pets will make you feel very welcomed to this small acreage. Whether it is with coffee on the front porch in the morning or your favorite beverage on the back patio in the evening, you will find this place very peaceful and relaxing. It was the perfect place to stay during our visit to Weston and we would do it again.

Ashley and Isa are perfect hosts! My husband and I were on a weekend getaway. If you love nature, beauty, but still want to be minutes away from activities, then you should consider Lazy Dog Acres. Enjoyed stay so much stayed an extra night. Very peaceful and comfortable stay.

If you love the outdoors and the simple life you will love your stay at Lazy Dog Acres. So much to do, see and great food. Weston state park hikes, distillery tour, shopping in Leavenworth, Bob at O’Malley’s, pb&j ice-cream at Green Dirt Farm and tons of wineries. Thank you Ashley , Rou and Isabella at Lazy Dog Acres for helping to make this a great trip.

Quite and cozy

Was an easy place to rent. Cozy place in country. Owner Ashley has a nice place and very friendly Dogs. Enjoyed being able to relax on the porch.

Although sick, enjoyed our stay. Ashley was very understanding, sympathetic and tried to make us as comfortable af possible...Roo and Esa helped in that arena too! Accommodations were clean, cozy and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Such a great place!

I live about 4 hours from Platte City! I needed some quite time and to get away from the busy life! Lazy Dog Acres is soooo amazing! You love the farm life come here! Ashley was great! I had everything I needed at the house. I loved the dogs & I got to help outside with the horses! Plus if you get a chance to stay when Ron and Shelia are there, they are fun, great people! I can’t wait to go back in the summer! Plus Ashley makes the best muffins!
