It worked for our family, but would have been better suited for a party than a vacation.The deck was filthy, the patio doors wouldn't close due to a broken hinge, lights on the porch didn't work, toilet seats were broken, bedding was threadbare, and the mattresses were old.

This is a great place to stay in Door County! It's nice and remote but easy access to about everything on the peninsula. The place is absolutely gorgeous with a big kitchen and plenty of room for people to spread out and do their own thing. We only had us and another couple stay and even with that big a space it felt comfortable and welcoming. Our only wish is that we would have stayed longer. There is so much to do in Door County that we feel like we didn't get enough time to explore the property and just hang out.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the property. It was quiet, perfectly clean and very comfortable. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well appointed. The wooded lot was lovely and we made good use of the front porch for morning coffee! We had one issue with the locking mechanism on the front door, but the Manager responded and arrived to solve the problem within minutes!, which is why I did not ding them for this on the overall rating. Would recommend!

Wonderful

The experience that I had with the host was absolutely incredible. His concern is that you have the best experience at his beautiful property. We were so blessed to have family gather and enjoy the time we spent with each other. Our time was definitely enhanced by this all around beautiful, clean, well-supplied, and the hosts hospitality. He is the best. Thank you.

Great Lodge for Multigenerational Trip

We enjoyed the large space for my family of six plus my parents and brother. We walked the trails on the property and roasted marshmellows on the firepit. This was a great spot to stay for pur first Door County vacation.

Great Space!

Best VRBO I’ve ever rented!

Great for our kids with their aunts and uncles!

We stayed with our three young children and did the master bedroom so our noise wouldn't wake the others and it worked out well! The area is beautiful and everything was very clear about the check-in and checkout process. Would definitely recommend this place for a visit to beautiful Door County!

Beautiful Big House

Even though heavily wooded- not many mosquitoes! Tons of hummingbirds, and woodpeckers. Landscaping is beautiful. Perfect fire pit. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you need to cook. It was a great visit.

Beautiful Home in the Woods

Our 3 generation family had a wonderful vacation, and while we were busy every day enjoying all that Door County has to offer, it was so nice to come home every evening to this beautiful home. The kids loved the trails in the woods and the large yard to play in. We had everything we needed and definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in an area full of family activities and fun! We would love to be able to return in the winter.

Great property and very responsive owners to our questions/needs. Home was very clean. Great for guests of all ages. Beautiful property and home is in a nice quiet location! Will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Beautiful retreat

We had a great experience with our stay here. The owner was very responsive and checked in with us when a strong storm popped up. The house was fantastic. Clean and comfortable and really nicely decorated. We had three generations stay here, a total of 7 people and it worked very well. The only two points to be aware of when booking is the open loft areas upstairs - there are curtains, but sound does travel from downstairs (this was clearly laid out in the listing, so not a surprise). Second, we did spend more time than we would have liked driving. The house is closer to the southern end of where all the towns are. It is beautiful countryside, though, so the drives were enjoyable and lots of little places to stop along the way. We went kayaking, hiking, minigolfing, made art, went to an outdoor theater and ate lots. A great trip and a beautiful property!

Great Place!

We rented this for a family Christmas. Beautiful and comfortable property beautifully decorated for the holidays. Great kitchen, fireplace, and lots of room. Two cautions: Wifi is metered if you have teens or folks who have to be working online it is a problem. Second, and more of an issue for us, the upstairs bedrooms have no walls. They are one giant open loft with privacy curtains. Privacy was good, noise bad. If you have adults who want to stay up and littles who need to sleep (and vice versa on Christmas morning), this can be difficult. Not a deal breaker, but worth knowing. Overall great! Owner and manager above and beyond!!

Perfect Getaway

Great house! Plenty of great spaces to eat, cook, relax and enjoy outdoor time. Remote and quiet, but easy access to all of the Door County attractions and restaurants. The house was perfectly stocked with everything you would look for and a spot for an outdoor fire with the wood ready to go. Would recommend!
