Comox Harbour Carriage House

This charming, one bedroom carriage house is located at the end of a quiet, waterfront cul-de-sac yet only a short walk to a variety of restaurants, pubs and shops in the downtown Comox area. From the living room enjoy mountain views and glimpses of the ocean.

The suite includes a fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, and fridge with ice and water dispenser. Longer stays are made easy with full capacity washer and dryer in the laundry room. A Napoleon gas fireplace along with a heat pump heats the entire space during the colder months and air conditioning, along with ocean breezes, will keep you comfortable during the hot days of summer.

Beach access is available simply by walking down the right-hand side of the house while facing the ocean. There are a few stepping stones through the flower garden then a cement boat ramp leads to the beach. On the beach there are two Adirondack chairs year-round and a beach umbrella during the summer months.

PLEASE NOTE .... there are 16, somewhat steep, open-tread stairs into the suite. If mobility is an issue, our carriage house will unfortunately not work for you.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Our accommodations were top notch…the photos on the website were exactly as they appeared and then some. The cottage was so comfortable met every one of our needs. Our hosts were so warm, friendly, informative and welcoming. We so enjoyed revisiting that area of the Island and exploring new places and restaurants. Darcy and Carol are very ploite and respectfull hosts!The stair entrance is on a steeper side but Very Rock Solid! Very solidly kept and neatly maintained.We will be there next year once again.

Lovely carriage house

We had a lovely time. I accidentally left a pair of earphones in the suite and Darcy was exceptionally kind, going out of her way to return them to me. Great hosts! Highly recommendedParticularly this Suite is an excellent location, and the suite is modern, clean and nice.

Carriage House Is Great

This is an excellent property. Don't hesitate to book it. Very clean and exceptionally well-equipped. It is within easy walking distance of the harbour, stores and restaurants. We had a great week here and will be back. A caution for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs to the suite over the garage may be an obstacle for some people. Thanks to Carol and Darcy for the great stay.

Very nice stay with very good location

We really enjoyed our stay. We met with the owners who were very helpful and discreet at the same time. This place is spotless. And the location is excellent. We would most definitely stay there again.

Carriage House Gem

Darcy and Carol’s hospitality was evident in many ways during our stay; friendly, responsive and approachable communication, freshly baked bread with homemade jam, large coffee cream in fridge, and a beautiful’Welcome Book’ with pertinent information. The suite is beautifully decorated with ‘special touches’ throughout. The queen size bed was very comfortable. Lots of luxurious towels were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with everything a guest might require. Sitting and relaxing in the chairs by the beach was perfect for morning coffee or in the evening watching the seals frolic in the bay. Two bald eagles are usually close by. My husband and I enjoyed walks to Filberg Park, Mack Laing Nature Park, and MacDonald Wood Park. The Black Fin restaurant is a close walk and is a favourite of ours when we are in the Comox valley area. There are steep stairs up to the suite and physical mobility and balance is needed. We are in our late 60’s and did not have trouble with the stairs. Darcy and Carol made us feel like ‘guests’ and it was refreshing to experience that kind of hospitality. We would definitely stay again when in the area. Barb and Rob

We were delighted with our stay from start to finish! Everything was exactly as described/pictured. From the moment our flight touched down in Comox our hosts went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and at home in the Carriage House. The location is wonderful...picturesque and quiet, within walking distance of several restaurants, coffee shops & parks with many more sights, walks and amenities just a short trip away.
