Enjoyable family getaway

We had a great time celebrating my 40th birthday with a close group of family in the Poconos. The house fit our needs perfectly and the great room upstairs provided the perfect space for everyone to be together but still feel spread out. We hope to visit the house again in the future!

Great house with GREAT house ammenities!

The house was very spacious, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Terrific " hangout " areas. One huge great room with a fireplace and game tables, huge TV hot tub, and bar . A movie room in the downstairs. Very modern clean fully equipped kitchen. We had a wonderful time and were all very pleased with our choice!

Pocono vacation

Property was very beautiful, very clean and very roomy with nice extras like tv in every room, movie theater room, hot tub. Also had a lovely stream in the yard and a fire pit. Good location also. Maintenance could have been better but mainly little things. Worst was the deck which had a gap under one loose railing. Had tons of extra supplies like spices and condiments but no salt shaker and needed mixing or serving bowls. Great place though and owner was super responsive.

VERY NICE PROPERTY FOR FAMILIES

We stayed for a week with 6 adults and 3 toddlers/1infant. The overall house is very nice, with a lovely great room, well stocked kitchen, a wonderful game room upstairs and a small theater area downstairs. Our only disappointments were that the advertised community pool was not available at all, and the listing states the house has AC but fails to mention that there is no AC on the downstairs level (3 bedrooms, 2 baths and the theater room). While the downstairs did stay relatively cool, it was damp feeling and musty smelling, which was a downer for the family members sleeping down there (I would recommend some dehumidifiers/fans downstairs). Also think that the screen porch and outside decking needs some cleanup and repair, but it did not effect us too much. The firepit is a lovely location, and the stream is pretty. While we did not have pool access we did use the lake with a small beach area. The host was helpful. I would recommend the property for someone who is not expecting perfection. You are getting alot for your money compared to other properties, and we had a very nice family gathering!

Great layout, great communication with host, house and cleanliness need some work

Layout of the house is great and can accommodate a large group. Plenty of spacious bedrooms and 2 awesome living rooms. My group was disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. I agree with the July 2022 reviews that mentioned the moldy smell. The host was awesome though and went above and beyond doing everything they could to improve the situation

some good, some bad

I stayed here with extended family (7 adults, two kids, and a baby) for a week in the summer. The home is fine and there are some very nice elements. There are also things to be aware of before you rent. PROS 1. Great host. We had a problem with the septic system the first night and he was incredibly responsive, kind and helpful. 2. Private backyard. Although there are neighbors on both sides, you don't really see them with the trees. The stream is great—very pretty with a nice fire pit setup. 4. The top floor of the house was great for our needs. Parts have been renovated and look good. CONS 1. Three of the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms are on the basement level, which smells musty and is a real downgrade from upstairs. 2. The neighborhood is fine, but if you're looking for a Pocono's vacation feel, this is not it. It's regular suburbs. 3. The home could use some maintenance and repairs (toilets aren't attached to the floor, sagging ceiling above the screened in porch, boards pulling up on the deck).

Great space - House Needs Work

The house layout is fantastic as well as the location but it only has AC window units on the main and upper floors. Therefore the basement bedrooms and movie room were very damp, musty, and smelled with minimal to no air circulation. Mold was found in the one closet.

Perfect for large groups

We enjoyed our stay in this house. We loved the great room and outdoor area with the fire pit. The house is conveniently located close to shopping center and many local attractions. The house manager was very responsive. Will definitely come back in the future. Thank you

Week in the woods

We had a great week in the woods. The kids loved the hot tub and pool table, we road our bikes through the neighborhood, fished at the lake etc. We didn’t love the community pool, but the house was fantastic for hosting friends and family. Lots of room, two grills and the fire ring were key to having a great week. The host was super responsive and checked in during the week to see if we needed anything. We had an excellent vacation.

Amazing experience

We truly enjoyed this property. The upper living space was perfect for the young adults to play games, listening to music, and hang out. While the other living space was perfect for older adults that didn’t want as much noise. The fire pit by the Creek and outdoor lighting created the perfect ambience. Also can I mention how comfortable the beds were!! It was perfectly located centrally so we were able to see so much of the area. We definitely recommend this property.

Huge Family Space

Our family needed a large space for 8 adults, 2 infants and a child. This property is huge, and gave us three living spaces to spread out. The kitchen is roomy and we never got in each other's way. There is a running, gurgling stream at the back of the property near the fire pit--quite a lovely setting. You will need to bring wood. I communicated with the owner when we had a problem with a tv. A previous renter had locked others out. The owner asked permission to come over, and he proceeded to spend a half hour fixing the connection. He then asked if anything else needed attention, and fixed or replaced a couple of items. These owners are wonderful people, and are there for any problem that may arise. I know people want to know negatives. I would say if you are a perfectionist and like fancy perfect places, choose a different property; however, if you need space, like comfort and have a large family, welcome to your home away from home.

Our place has everything that you will need to enjoy your stay. Dishwasher, with washer & dryer. Our kitchen is fully stocked with all pots, pans, dishes, utensils, coffee pot, and toaster oven. Our deck has a gas grill for barbecues and a sitting area to enjoy the fresh air. Opened and screened decks. Four bathrooms, with a shower stall and bathtub. Bed linens, pillows, towels, and blankets are provided at this house.
