Charming Lakefront Bala Cottage

This charming, cozy, 4 season cottage overlooks the Moon River in the heart of Bala, just 12 minutes off the 400! With over a half-acre of land, this gem is located within minutes to the grocery store, Don’s Bakery, Beer Store, LCBO, The Kee, markets, the beach, hiking trails, snowmobile trails & more.

2 minutes to Bala (15 min walk)
10 minutes to Port Carling
15 minutes to Gravenhurst
25 minutes to Bracebridge

Cottage is fully equipped for you to enjoy, just bring your personal items!

This recently renovated cottage is full of things to do!

In the warmer months, enjoy the use of our two kayaks around the lake, enjoy a great book on the dock, gather on the lakeside deck equipped with a built-in bench & high top table, and enjoy quality time around the outdoor fire pit.

In the cooler months, enjoy the fall foliage or snow covered trees from the cottage, enjoy the hiking, ice skating and snowmobile trails in the area, challenge your friends or family to a board game, curl up beside the fireplace and watch your favourite shows and movies.

The cottage is fully winterized with baseboard heaters as well as an indoor fireplace. In the summer months, air conditioning is available.

All bedrooms are equipped with new beds, pillows, sheets, quilt set and comforters.

The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook your favourite meals and enjoy around the dining table with your family and friends. There is a propane BBQ to grill your favourites!

The laundry area has a new washing machine and dryer if you choose to use them.

There are floaties for you to enjoy during your stay.

Cottage is equipped with a smart TV, wifi & cable.

Low Season - September-May (2 night minimum)
High Season - June - Aug (7 night minimum stay, check-in on Friday)

Dock - The floating dock will be available for use from May long weekend until Thanksgiving.

Winter Access - The cottage is located off a main road that is plowed by the city. The cottage driveway will be cleared by a snow removal company we have hired each time there is a large snowfall.

Great cottage and location

We spent 4 nghts recently with family.Excellent location, close to everything (shopping, grocery, lcbo) Great lake view and swimming.The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed.Jessica was very quick and responsive to any questions.Overall a wonderful stay! Very happy with our time away.

The cabin is neat and tidy, is just the right size for 5-6 people. The directions given were easy to follow and it was a beautiful drive from the GTA. You have a small kitchen but plenty of prep space. The bedding is soft and poofy and warm for cooler nights and each room has a fan.My friends and I cannot wait to book again!Also:The neighbors are pretty quiet so you don't have to worry about noise. The cottage is walking distance from town so no need to drive. If you have wee children there is a park with swings and jungle gym with a child friendly beach less than a 5 min walk.

Fantastic Cottage on the Lake

Spent my honeymoon in this great cabin.It was super clean and cozy. The owner was easy to communicate with. Grocery store, and restaurants were right around the corner. Spent most of the time reading on the dock watching the beavers and loons go by. It was heaven.

Spring Getaway

Jess is the most amazing host and communicator. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed all the different outdoor sitting areas and used each one. The closeness to the town of Bala is only a short stroll which was perfect for our dinner out. We lucked out and had sunshine the whole 4 days and the wind kept the bugs away.

Wonderful getaway

Great experience! Cute cottage, extremely well-appointed…they had everything we needed! Amazing location with beautiful view. Lots of snow made it even more picturesque. Highly recommended. We look forward to our next visit.

The cottage is clean and cozy with nice lake view. It is very easy to communicate with Jessica. A bit trouble is blocked sink in kitchen but it got fixed quickly by a handy guy sent by Jessica. Overall we have a good staying with the cottage. Thank you Jessica.

Perfect Spot for Cranberry Festival

It was very busy during Cranberry Festival time so it was a delight to come back to the cottage and unwind by the water. Cottage offered everything possibly needed for a getaway. Town water was a added bonus

Wonderful stay in beautiful location

We had an excellent experience at the charming cottage in Bala. Not only is it in a phenomenal location, the place was very clean and beautiful, better than the pictures. And we were pleased to find lots of extra towels and bedding as well as a fully stocked kitchen with spices etc. It was very comfy and beautiful during our fall stay, and we will definitely be booking it again! Thanks for sharing your beautiful getaway with us!
