Beautiful 6 or 7 bedroom 5 bath custom home. too many amenities to list-- (we normally rent weekly -Saturday to Saturday but if you wish to rent on different days or periods please request for approval) 45' t dock,20 ft floating dock, and boat slips, in-ground swimming pool, 9' covered fish table, 400#/day Commercial ice machine, 4 bikes, kayaks for 6, and kayak dock, corn hole ,board games, 4 TVs, 2 VHS/DVD/Ruko players and video library, widows walk, and private large yard with plenty of secured trailer parking. This home is in a Great area and at the end of the street for your privacy. Close to shopping, tennis courts, restaurants, boat rentals, and live music in the evenings. Bring your boat or take a charter for our famous fishing and diving .-- License VACA-20-955 sat-sat rentals other timeframes available but must be preaproved

Kevin was very informative. He responded quickly to our questions about the property and surrounding area. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, walking and biking around the neighborhood. We loved our stay and wish to return again. Hopefully for more than a week!

Great 2 weeks in paradise!

This home provided everything we were looking for. Plenty of space for our family of sixteen and two boats! The home was clean and comfortable. Easy access to the ocean and bay from your private dock. The pool was just the right size and great for kids. The host couldn't have been more accommodating. Very reasonably priced compared to similar locations in the Keys! Wouldn't hesitate to rent again.

My large family (16) really enjoyed our stay. The younger kids loved the pool and were in it everyday. We all enjoyed the dock for boating and fishing as well as the kayaks and bikes that were available. The outside ice maker was real treat. There was ample seating areas and the roof top observation deck was great for observing constellations at night. The main level and upper levels of the house were very nice. The bottom level was adequate but could be improved with more cheerful and inviting comforters.

Relax and unwind

We were able to get the whole family together and there was always something to do from fishing and cooking the fresh catch to myriads of games, to biking, kayaking, swimming or just relaxing in the hammock swing or reading a book on the balcony.

Fantastic location!

Nice property. Very spacious home, fully equipped, lovely pool and plenty of dock space for our large crowd with 4 boats. We would definitely go back! One suggestion: Kitchen could use some updated appliances.

We had a wonderful time with 10 peopke

We absolutely had a wonderful time with kayaks bikes swimming pool and corn hole. We loved the sunrise and the evening shade along the water. We were content to enjoy this house without having to go any-wear else. The owner is very nice and easy to deal with. Great vacation !!!

Family get away.

We certainly enjoyed this property. Our family of 10 adults and 6 children 10mo-6 yrs. Plenty of space and bathrooms. Kitchen is well equipped. Outdoor space with plenty of area to enjoy. So nice to have the use of the kayaks, bikes , fishing rods, and pack and plays. Kevin was very good at communicating and answering our questions.

Great stay in Marathon

Beautiful, well stocked home. Had everything we needed. We were able to tie our boat up early before official check in and store our trailer on property. Plenty of parking for trailer and multiple cars. Note that one queen bed is not in a room- on a landing at the top of the stairs- was a little tricky but we knew about it ahead of time and made it work for our family. Kevin was responsive and helpful and gave us tips about the surrounding area and showed us the best way to tie up the his dock. It was a great stay!

Great house for 16 family members on their first visit to the keys

So much to do right at the house. Kids and husband fished from the dock everyday. Kayak trips every morning. Saw manatees at the dock. Swam in the pool all day long. Movies and popcorn when needing time out of the strong sun. Easy to go to the turtle hospital and out to eat. Away from the busy life of key west, which we visited for a day. I would stay here again.

Family reunion

We had a large group of 4 generations. The home and property were amazing and private for being in a neighborhood. We were able to dock 2 larger boats without issue. The large pros of the property were the ice machine, large outdoor space with parking for several vehicles and trailers, and plenty of room for a large group. This property has 5 private bedrooms with 2 other sleeping areas that are open areas. Just to note, there is not a hot tub, which was listed at the time of our visit. The host/ owner was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay in this home again.

Family vaca 2023

We came down for opening week of lobster season. The property hosted us well. We had a large party of 15. Plenty of room for everyone. We let the kids take the down stairs. The house was very quite. We had the master beside the kitchen. There could be 10 people talking in the kitchen making breakfast and you couldn't hear them. Plenty of parking. The ice machine was great!

Just okay

It was just an okay stay. This wasn’t the house for us. We had a group of 12 and arrived the eeek before Christmas. One of the 7 bedrooms was a loft bed, definitely not private, which would have be okay for my kids, except anyone that made noise in the living or kitchen in the early morning or night would disturb them, We were informed the AC had a limit of 72, but it was extremely warm. We kept all doors shut and still was warm. On the 2nd day we requested the ac limit be lowered and it was done remotely. The beds were extremely soft and had a mattress covered that was like plastic. The basement air did not work, so anyone that was downstairs was hot all week. Owner was extremely communicative and polite. This just wasn’t the house for us.

Wonderful Trip for 16 people!

It was a a wonderful place to stay! We had a family of 16 and there was enough room for everyone. Ages ranges from 1 year to 81 years of age. Everything was well stocked. The kayaks were great to use along with the boat dock and heated pool. Ice machine was a huge plus too! Kevin answered all our questions when needed. Was anble to pet manatees right off the dock. Only thing I would suggest is getting the upstairs thermostat fixed. Toward the end the upstairs was getting musty and was uncomfortably hot. Also, the fridge where the water comes out needs to be cleaned looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a very very long time! Besides that it’s a wonderful place to stay and would recommend it! One another thing the manager had to go over a few things for us to get the full use of the house (where the shades buttons were and only cans and bottles not in bags allowed in the recycling bin) . Maybe write that down where all the other info is. Just little things.

A good time was had by all !

Overall, the property was very good. I would say dust was a problem. It needed a heavy clean. The bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and living areas were clean but it could've been cleaner. Not necessarily dirty, just dusty. For example, i put all the hats on the table in the hallway. When I removed the green centerpiece, there was a ton of dust. Also, the pt holder on the first floor in the hallway was also so dusty that i cleaned it. The towels in the bathroom on the first floor, near the laundry room, were crispy instead of soft. Ants were in the downstairs bathroom and in the kitchen. The bedroom in the upstairs hallway does not have any privacy(that was disappointing). The bike chains were rusty but worked. Oh and the sheets in the master bedroom had a small hole. So maybe you would want to replace them. All in all, we had a great time and the things i mentioned were only to improve not to do any more than that. Maybe it could look a little more shorey? There is a theme of fishing, hunting and being at the beach all at the same time! LOL We had a great time!

Beautiful home, but not for our family

Overall, my family enjoyed our stay. With that being said...there were some things that we found odd and disappointing. Our check-in process was not as expected. Appreciate the "property manager" was on site on Day #1 to show us house and answer questions, but disappointed that he was present the next 3 days of our rental. We were never told or asked if OK to be present during our stay. My family found this quite uncomfortable, to the point of feeling we were being looked over and watched. There were tools/items outside on property that were not shown in the online listing (under front stairs/side yard). These items in the background were awkward when our family was taking pictures. Kitchen was missing a few key items...mixing bowls/utensils. Bikes for use need help. Tires were flat and one was not usable at all. Beds were comfortable, but pillows were quite old and flat. First floor bathroom had moldy shower curtain and drain was stopped up. Although not in listing, was hoping there would be some kind of pool/beach toys for use, which we have found in previous homes we have rented. House lay-out is nice and the home is beautiful...just not the house for my family. Our group was large...16 total. Multiple families and kids of different ages. Enjoyed the pool everyday and happy that it fit us all. Enjoyed the multiple outside patio areas for use. In summary... for what we paid to rent this home for the week, we truly believe the price was too high.

Enjoyed the house, the pool the ice machine on-site was great to have. easy access to the gulf and the Atlantic from this location very short boat ride to Vaca cut had a great stay we would go back to this place.

Best property ever!

This was a wonderful house for our family reunion, we had from 2yr to 90!! There was plenty of room for the 16 of us- the inside pictures do not do this house justice. The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful and our families loved it. If you are into fishing and water sports- this is a dream location/property. From the docks, fish cutting table, ice maker, bait freezer, kayaks- it was perfect. When we weren’t on the water we were in the pool. We will definitely return- and Kevin was wonderful, very informative and a wealth of knowledge- we had a fantastic vacation- couldn’t ask for anything more.

Keys trip

The house was great! We all fit great. Very comfortable. Central location to go up and down the Keys for fishing, lobster diving, and wreck diving. Kids loved fishing off the dock! We all loved seeing the manatees that would swim up to the dock!

Yearly family vacation

This was our yearly vacation with our kids spouses and grandkids and the house was perfect. Everyone had a great time with the pool, kayaks, fishing off the dock and plenty of games for the children down stairs

Incredible Stay

The property was just as advertised. Our large group (16) had the best time with amenities like the bikes, kayaks, pool, water access, and roof top view. We hope to bring other groups in the future.

Marathon House Review

We came for a double 50th birthday celebration and could not have been happier! There were 6 couples and there was more than enough room to have time to ourselves and enjoy time together. We enjoyed the heated pool, the kayaks, and the cornhole boards provided to us. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything (and more) that we needed. I would recommend this vacation property to anyone - big family or friends getaway! I would only have one complaint and that was that the upstairs master was a little warmer than we would have liked. This is a beautiful home, in a beautiful neighborhood with alot of amenities. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
