This 5-bed, 4-bath, 2-story property sits on the “Island Side" of False River, directly across the river from Downtown New Roads and the bright lights of Morel's and Satterfield's. It features 3 "King Suites", a Queen room, Twin room, 2 separate living areas, boat ramp and a HUGE dock. From screened-in porches to fire pits, this camp offers an array of options for endless entertaining year-round. The dock is perfect for fishing, tanning, or enjoying a beautiful False River sunset. The upstairs patio is set up for sipping coffee and watching the ducks dabble around the dock. The property is minutes away from service stations and grocery stores. My friends and I stayed and attended an LSU game. The house and location were perfect for our group. We enjoyed the outdoor sitting area by the water and the house was a great size for us with plenty of bathrooms. What a great stay and experience!

Okay to Stay?

The property was not recently cleaned as nearly all rooms contained corner spider webs! The refrigerators contained foods and screened porch refrigerator contained dead bugs! There was no available closet space. The property needs updating and could be quite the vacation gem if properly maintained! Space was appropriate for the 13 guests present.

Family Thanksgiving

Dock Holiday’s place was perfect for a family get together! Backyard faces river which is across from New Roads, so it was beautiful and very quiet. There was a draw down this year, but that didn’t take away the beauty of False River. There was a fire pit that we kept burning the whole time thanks to wood from Bob. The house was spacious with very comfortable beds, big TV’s, great outdoor screened in upstairs patio and another patio downstairs facing the fire pit and the river. There was a nice dock that would be great for boaters including a nice bar and sitting area. 2 refrigerators and plenty of parking too.

The house was nice and plenty of room! Outside needed some major cleaning, yard was fine, but needed to be blowed down or power washed! Overall we enjoyed our stay! Thank you very much for answering all my questions

Easter vacation at False River

We had a wonderful vacation with the family. The weather was excellent. We were lucky to have friends that have a party boat, went for ride and also did some fishing.

My kids found a gun in the closet

My kids found a gun in a closet in the bedroom they were staying in. The property owner blamed the cleaning crew for not locking up the closet. Honestly I don't care where the blame lie, just that MY KIDS FOUND AN UNSECURED GUN. This is not OK. We also found a dead roach in the living room and the porch was gross with dead bugs and dead bug splatter on the windows.

LSU game weekend

This location is about 40 min to LSU stadium and was big enough for everyone to have their own space. Plenty of sitting room in the upstairs living and kitchen area. The large covered pier was a great gathering place with a nice pit. The house is right on the water. Only down side was small showers and having to go outside to access the downstairs rooms. Overall this was a great place for a our big group.

Great Lake Camp

Beautiful place on False River. I did not realize I had to go outside to get in upstairs. Just the right amount of room for my family. Well stocked and plenty to seating areas.

If you're seeking a dreamy lake house escape, look no further than this stunning property. We recently stayed here for a wedding, and we were blown away by the incredible amenities and picture-perfect setting. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The porch and peir offered and breathtaking views of the lake, and we spent many afternoons lounging in the outdoor seating area. But what really stole our hearts was the fire pit, which became the gathering spot for our group during the evening hours. We made s'mores and told stories by the fire, and it felt like we were living in a fairy tale. The interior of the home was just as impressive as the outdoor space. The open floor plan made for easy group gatherings, and we loved the modern and stylish decor. The bedrooms were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Overall, we are incredibly grateful for our time at this lake house. It truly exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to plan our next visit. If you're looking for a getaway that offers equal parts relaxation and party vibes, this is the perfect spot.

Ample Space

Great space for Grandma & Grandpa and family. Well supplied. Grilled out, sat on the dock, enjoyed area activities. Only downside was the outdoor furniture needed a good cleaning.

Wonderful time was had by all!

My 4 children live in 3 states. We love staying at a lakehouse. Doc Holiday did not disappoint. We loved the amount of sleeping space and discovered the covered area with super comfortable furniture at the end of the pier was one of our favorite spots. Beds were comfy, it was very clean, grocery store near by. Highly recommend.

Girls trip

Great location for visiting the St Francisville/New Roads area. Comfortable beds and lots of space to hang out. It was great having 4 bathrooms. Some of the showers were very small. Overall, lots of positives.

The Perfect Getaway

This was the most beautiful place. Everything about it was exactly as described. We were surprised to see the beautiful patio furniture on the covered pier/deck. Was worth every penny. We will be booking again but for a longer stay next time! Devin was an excellent host and communication was prompt and caring!

Spring Break Getaway

This property was amazing! There was so much to do. We kayaked, fished, and water skied. It was also one of the few properties that had it’s own boat launch. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond. We will definitely return.

Family time!

We had a wonderful stay and owner could not have been nicer. There were comfortable beds for everyone, a great gathering place to eat indoors or out, and the lake and pool table kept the teenagers happy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet getaway with family!
