Anemona House offers a comfortable stay with a full equipped kitchen, dining area, three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large living room — ideal for families or small groups.
The house is tucked away in a quiet, secluded part of the village, providing a peaceful retreat from everyday life and the crowds.
After a day spent exploring the park, guests can relax in the private garden, surrounded by unspoiled nature and the calming sounds of birdsong, with the occasional squirrel darting through the pine trees.

At dawn, nature awakens gently: squirrels leap, cats wander, and sometimes a deer or rabbit appears.

The best accommodation for a group

Not only did the hosts greet us when we arrived, but they were very responsive to my electronic communications. The house is located in an ideal location to the park. The house itself is clean and incredibly comfortable. We would definitely stay at Anemona House again.

I’m not exaggerating when I say we found the best accommodations of our lives here in Plitvice. Everything you could ever want is already furnished in the house, and everything is laid out in a very thoughtful way. My only regret is that we did not stay even longer.

Fantastic house, perfect for Plitvice

Everything about the house was excellent. Better equipped than any other holiday rental we have ever stayed in! Perfect for access to the National Park and walking trails. We had 2 BBQ's and it was great sitting out. So, so peaceful and secluded.

Fairytale Accommodation

3 couples stayed at the house for 2 nights while visiting the lakes. The house is set in a beautiful forest and walkable to the park. Every room is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It’s also sizable, so the whole group can hang out in the shared spaces. This is one of the best stocked rentals we have stayed at and the hosts were wonderful with communication and were very welcoming. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We all wished we booked an extra day to just relax around the beautiful property.

Amazing getaway

We had a fantastic stay at Anemona House. The property matched the pictures and it was one of the best rentals we've ever stayed in. Nevena met us and got us checked in. She was so helpful and kind. She even showed us on an enlarged map suggested routes for Plitvice Lakes- it was incredibly helpful. The property had AC's in every bedroom and throughout the house which was wonderful as it was hot when we were there. It was the best stocked rental I've ever stayed in. So many thoughtful touches to numerous breakfast items- oatmeal, cocoa, coffee, tea, to several containers of bottled water. She also had a basket with treats/snacks that were wonderful. There was bug spray, sunscreen, a small sewing kit, games/toys for the kids. The laundry machine was great and there was plenty of space to hang dry clothes. It was the perfect property to stay and explore Plitvice Lakes. We were sad to leave at the end of our 3 nights here.

Stay a week

We wished we’d booked a longer stay here. The location is perfect for hiking, not only at the nearby falls, but for exploring local villages on foot and bicycle. Our hosts were so gracious, even provided bicycles, and the home and grounds are spacious and extremely clean. Two nights gave us enough time to see the spectacular waterfalls, but the park has many other trails that aren’t crowded, so I wish we could spend another day at the park plus two or three more days to explore the surrounding countryside. We walked to a nearby restaurant on the other side of the creek and had an enjoyable meal.

Gorgeous Property

We were so very pleased with the property. It is a cute Bavarian style house with plenty of room for everyone. The house sits on a nice lot with lots of trees and a great view. We spent time on the balcony drinking wine and watching the wildlife. The place had everything we needed and was well stocked. We really enjoyed our time there. It was very nice to be able to walk into the park from this location and not have to drive. We loved that. Nevena is super communicative and very helpful. Totally would stay here again.

We couldn't recommend this more

From booking to finish our stay at Nevena's lovely Anemona House was perfect. Booking: I must admit I was nervous about using Vrbo to interact with a homeowner directly, I've heard some people who didn't have good experiences with other apps/sites but I couldn't resist given the reviews and photos of Anemona House. Nevena got in touch immediately after booked and I had a couple of questions about tickets to the park and she put my mind at rest with constant communication. Pre-Holiday Communication: a couple of weeks before our break Nevena emailed with directions complete with pictures and detailed instructions. She also emailed with local attractions and advice and offered lots of help with questions. We had a few emails back and forth and everything felt very genuine. I was treated like a guest in her home and country, not as a customer. Arrival: this continued as we arrived in Croatia. Nevena explained in an email it was a national holiday and shops would be closed so left a few extra bits and also guided us to some restaurants en route. She waited for us to arrive at the house.and have us a tour then explained in detail how Plitvice Lakes worked, the routes and best way to use our tickets. She didn't overstay though and once she'd explained everything left us to enjoy the holiday with a promise she was on email/WhatsApp if needed for anything, even booking restaurants! Location: Plitvice Lakes and surroundings was amazing, access from the house couldn't be simpler.

Our family - my husband, our son, and I live and work in Zagreb. My husband and I are both civil engineers, while our son is currently a student. In addition to our main professions, we are dedicated hosts who always strive to personally welcome our guests.

Anemona House is especially dear to us, as it once belonged to my grandfather and father. A few years ago, my husband and I renovated it with great care, preserving its unique charm and family heritage. I spent much of my childhood here and know every corner of Plitvice Lakes National Park. It is our pleasure to share this special home and the beauty of the area with our guests, ensuring a warm and memorable stay.
