2nd story lake view, private deck- close to Scranton, Honesdale & Elk Mountain!

Star-view suite at Comfort Cove has a private top floor deck and beautiful lake front views to enjoy all four seasons!

If your group is more than 4-6 , or you just want to spread out, check out our downstairs Lily Pad (Property ID 2559241). The unit with the screened in porch and wood dock is private and reserved currently.

-Master king bed
-Guest room queen bed
-1 full bath
-Living room wrap around couch with two recliners
-Kitchen fully stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, cooking ware, etc.

- WiFi: code given prior to check-in
- Smart TV with DVD Player
- Private parking for 1 vehicle
- 4 kayaks/1 canoe available to use during your stay
- Outdoor games provided (washers, bag toss, Kan Jam, bocce ball, etc.)

The gray, floating easy dock is reserved for just our VRBO’s (private lake, no outside boats permitted).

The swim area (just a short stroll across the bridge around the cove) is available to you as well. Elk lake has it all!

Close to Scranton, Elk Mountain, Honesdale and so many more amazing and new spots to visit!

Cozy apartment, clean and well equipped. Unfortunately the lake view is obstructed by pine trees but you can still enjoy a partial view from the deck. Hosts were very nice. I am gratefull that they were able to accomodate my last minute requests. Thank you.

My Waymart Weekend Getaway

I would highly recommend this cozy and comfortable apartment to anyone looking for accommodations in Waymart, PA. The hosts were quick to reply to any questions and made accessing the key an easy and uncomplicated experience. The place was immaculate and had a fully functional kitchen. Although I did not do any cooking during my stay (I was there to visit family), I would have been able to without any problem. There is a charming outdoor deck with a beautiful view of the lake - a perfect place to enjoy my morning cup of coffee. Two thumbs up!

Lovely place

We had a wonderful stay. Checkin was super easy and the apartment was clean and cool.The neighborhood is great, lake quiet, and you can't hear any of the other neighbors.If you are looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place.Jakes bar next door is great for drinks, and the Waymart Deli is perfect for lunch.Jonathan was easy to deal with and very responsive. I would stay here again without issue.

Great Hosts But Stay Fell Short of Expectations

There are many nice things we have to say about our 4 night stay. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Elk Lake was beautiful, as well as the local area. Tons of outdoor activities to enjoy and great small businesses in Waymart and the surrounding towns.My S.O. and I did not find the tavern next door to be a nuisance at all. We enjoyed the liveliness of the neighborhood and never felt it disrupted our stay.The apartment itself was just alright, I was glad to be leaving when we did. Overall it had a drab motel feel—stained carpet in the larger bedroom, dusty living room, abused countertops, mildew bath tiles and icky caulking. The place had been cleaned before we got there but, due to the dust, both of us would sneeze and cough, inside the apartment. Also, to clean dishes, we were left two used old sponges. Not ideal.The other less than ideal aspect of our stay was the dock. It’s a plastic dock fastened to the shore in a muddy alcove of the lake. Very cute for sitting on but forget about it if you want to solo kayak. Absolutely no stability, my S.O. was even unable to assist stabilizing the kayak for me to get into off that dock. No ropes, poles, or areas to launch from the shore.After our first failed attempt to kayak, we couldn’t even try again because our neighbors downstairs, another vrbo rental, had left ALL of the kayaks on the lawn during an overnight storm. (Obviously, that was out of the host’s control.)

Ski Weekend

The house was a nice place for our little family with my only concern being the place smelled like whatever was being cooked in the house below us at dinner time. Otherwise it was comfortable and clean and a relaxing stay after skiing at Elk Mountain.

Labor Day getaway

The property is very cute and the lake is so tranquil and peaceful. View from the deck is obscured by trees, but not a problem. As allergy sufferers I would recommend cleaning the ac units more frequently and replacing the shower curtain liner. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate your property. As

Me and my family came there for a few days it was absolutely amazing ! The kids went on the canoes we bbq’d & roasted s’mores. The place was super clean and the hosts were super nice I can’t wait to come back .

Nice cozy little place on the lake

Nice weekend getaway to get some quietness. This place would be really nice in the beginning of the fall in which it's still warm and vacation time period is not as busy. Owners was very helpful and always picked up the phone. We had a miss communication with the fire stick, but they quickly rectify the issue within hours and apologies for any inconvenience. These are the type of owners you always want to rent from. Local pizza place was really good.

Great setup

Great place to be for a ski weekend at Elk Mountain. Several local restaurants to chose from within a 10 minute drive, plus Jakes right next door. Same for grocery store, Dollar General, gas stations, and beer/wine/liquor store. About 25 minutes to Elk Mountain or to mainstream restaurants/stores. Had about 4-5 inch snow overnight and the drive/walk was cleared in the morning.

Beautiful Retreat

Great spot for a relaxing stay in a beautiful area. The property is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, enjoying the views from the deck, and exploring the cute nearby towns. Check-in was easy, and the hosts were responsive and helpful.

Jon and Beth have been together for 15 years, were married in 2011 and love the Lake Life they have created together. They travel as often as possible but in all the many places they have visited around the world, Elk Lake remains their favorite.

Beth grew up coming to Elk Lake visiting her grandparents, many cousins and friends. Once she brought Jon to visit too he instantly fell in love with this welcoming, quaint, beautiful, private spot to enjoy all four seasons.

They try to make their guests as comfortable as possible with all the amenities to feel like home. They are quick to respond, have many places they love to recommend to their guests that they enjoy visiting as well and really appreciate any feedback people give them to improve their current and future stays.

When they named the Star view unit it was special to them because of the many beautiful stars that light up the sky, full/half/eclipse moons, and every once in a while even a shooting star (sometimes too many to count)! One night Beth and Jon didn't have renters yet and were on the private deck looking at the beauty of the sky and thought to themselves what better name for this special and private unit than the Star view suite!

Beth and Jon are down to earth, positive and grateful people that appreciate all the many adventures they have had and continue to have. They are so happy they get to share this amazing Lake with people near and far!
