Perfect location for a relaxing vacation

This wonderful Island gem is located on a large corner lot just a short walk to the beach. You'll love having a fabulous view and great access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi Sound. The wide large deck facing the Gulf is partially covered in the middle and open on both sides to enjoy sunbathing . Situated between the Mississippi Sound and the Gulf of Mexico, you'll enjoy the wonderful sea breeze and views. This home has laminate flooring throughout the home. The master bedroom on the West side of the house has a private bath. On the East side, there are 2 bedrooms with a bath in between. The galley kitchen has lots of cabinets. Under this home has plenty of space for parking.

Okay stay

I had to clean the house before we could get in and unpack the ceiling fans were horrible and there was black dog hair everywhere…Wasn’t thrilled about that but the location was great.

Great House, Great Location

We had a great stay! The house was as described and clean. Comfortable beds and couches. Good views! It was nice to do dishes and look at the bay. Kitchen had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have brought a few containers for leftovers, but we made it work with the dishes there and the aluminum foil and ziplocks we brought. There were plenty of towels (bath and beach). There was a wagon and even some beach toys, which was so handy. Short walk to the beach. Bedrooms were a little small, so I don’t suggest bringing large double sided rolling suitcases. It was just me, my husband, and our 2 year old, so we just used the queen bedroom to store our suitcases. The washer and dryer worked well, and the restaurants were casual, so you should be able to pack fairly light. I liked that the quilts/comforters were lightweight and washable. I could tell they had been washed plenty. Made me feel as though they were a little cleaner than some other places we’ve stayed. Water pressure in the showers left something to be desired, but I wonder if that’s a problem on the island in general.We would definitely stay here again!

Just right location

Clean, comfortable rooms. Small kitchen, but worked fine. Short walk to Gulf and views of bay from one porch and gulf from the other porch.

Great location, cute place, has some issues, needs upgrades.

This place is nicely decorated and pretty well stocked with essentials. The location is very nice with an easy walk to the beach across the street. There was an issue with the air conditioner. It can't keep up with the summer heat and needs to be upgraded. The internet was out most of the time there. We did have another issue with a broken kitchen faucet that wouldn't turn off. A plumber was sent out, but he couldn't fix it, so we had constant running water and had to maually turn it off under the house. However, we chose a positive attitude and really enjoyed our time there. Love the beach and being with family. Dauphin Island is the best!

Great beach location

The location on The island was perfect, walking distance to the gulf side and close enough to carry and put out the kayaks right from the house on the bay side. The house is a great, no frills beach house that comfortably slept our family. As with most of the rentals on Dauphin, remember to pack in everything you need, Paper towels, TP, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc. Having access to the kayaks is a great perk!

Biting ants everywhere

The house was okay . It was some little things like , the dismal water pressure and none of the showers havig spraying wands. Also , the internet would cut out randomly every other hour so you had to reset the router. But the real issue was the infestation of biting ants. We couldnt use the microwave or any cabinets because of the amount of ants everyhwere . They got into our clothes bags, got into the beds and bit the babies leaving behind raised whelps . It was a nightmare that put so much strain on the trip. We couldnt even enjoy the deck or outdoor accommodations becausue of how agressive and numerous these ants were . It was truly awful so much so we thought about leaving early.

Spring break with the grandkids

We had a great time! The house was clean and had everything we needed.. We were close to the beach. The sunsets were amazing.. Marie was very helpful. We had such a good time we are already talking about next year!

Great location!

House was a little small and THIN walls. So my precious 3 year old granddaughter had us all up early every day. Water pressure was light! No water in house if it was on outside. With that being said, it was nice to have a rinse off station outside. The location was fantastic and a very short walk to the beach. As for the beach, it was dirty. Do not take white suits!! I’m used to Destin water and sand. The nice thing was it was not crowded at all. If you go, you must go to Pirates bar and grill. Great food and atmosphere!

Nice house

It’s a smaller home but we had plenty of room for the 8 of us. Pretty nice area. Beach walking distance and bay view right out the kitchen window.

Nice quiet time.

We had a very relaxing time at Dauphin Island. We beach was close by. We could see it and feel the breeze on the front porch. The only downside of the trip was no chain grocery stores on the island. The one that was there had limited choices and a very high price tag. We would go back.

Perfect for Families

We had an incredible stay! The house was clean, great location, and easy to settle in to. The location was great, we only had to walk across the street to the beach. Our family of 5 stayed comfortably and have no complaints. Owner was very easy to communicate with and everything was exactly as it was stated.

Great location!

The house is clean, beds are comfortable, the beach is very close. The house has a beach wagon which is very helpful. We had to contact Mrs. Burkart a couple of times and the communication was great. Overall nice experience!
