Best view on the mountain

As other's have stated, the drive up and the driveway were pretty steep, but once you get used to it, it's no big deal. The view was unbelievable and totally worth it. Will definitely stay again.

Among the Clouds

The views from this cabin were excellent. My wife and I have visited Gatlinburg numerous times and this cabin is tied for first among the number of places we’ve stayed. And we were fortunate to see 2 bears; one in our driveway and another one on the way to the cabin. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome views

Beautiful views. First ride up was nerve wracking definitely glad we arrived during day light(my first time driving in the mountains). Property was exactly as described. Views amazing, we honestly wouldn't have left the cabin at all had we brought enough groceries for our stay. Beds comfortable. Everything worked.

Love the cabin

The cabin is very cute and cozy! Getting to the cabin can be a little scary at night as it’s at the very very top of the mountain, very narrow steep streets and sharp turns so be careful. Parking is scary as well as it’s on an incline and very narrow. No issues with the actual cabin. We are definitely going to book this cabin again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view is spectacular. The drive up to the cabin from office is adventurous, but worth it. The cabin looks fine in the pictures, but more impressive in person-much larger rooms. The kitchen was well stocked and nicely laid out. 2 King bedrooms that allow company privacy and a good nights sleep. The decks provide plenty of room and comfortable outdoor furnishing to take in the gorgeous views. Only issue that may be a bit intimidating is the actual driveway. Make sure your emergency brake is engaged.

Great Views

Our stay was mostly great. There were a few small issues. First of all, no paper towels were provided. Cleanliness was a little lacking. There was garbage from previous renters behind toilet. One of the pillow cases was dirty and we had to wash it. Other than those few small things, it was a great place. The house is big, the pool table was nice. The views were great, we could see for miles across the city and we could see Ober Gatlinburg right next door. In fact, the Ober Gatlinburg mountain coaster goes right by the driveway, we did see people riding it, but it never disturbed us at all. The hottub was very nice on the cold nights. It was nice to sit in the tub and watch the snow come down. The drive to and from is on several steep and twisty roads, but for the most part it wasnt too bad. It did snow while we were there and it was a bit scary when we left to go home and had to drive down the snow covered driveway, about the last third we slid with little to no control until we got to the plowed road below and I was able to take a hard left and slide to a stop. In other words, the driveway is pretty steep and has a sharp turn to get all the way up to the house. There is a flat part in the turn, and that is where we chose to park for our stay. I am not sure our Jeep Cherokee could have made the climb up the drive way had we arrived in the snow, but we didnt have to try, fortunately.

Breathtaking View!!

Unless you have driven in the mountains before, the ride to the property can be kinda scary. But the view is totally worth it! We wanted to be by ourselves away from crowds because of Covid 19 and we found it. We totally enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, the hot tub and just sitting on the porch and relaxing.

Incredible view!

We had a very relaxing visit. The check in/out was so simple. The cabin is warm and inviting. We loved sitting on the 2nd floor deck. The view from that deck is nothing short of amazing! Even got to see fireworks all the way from Dollywood sitting right there on that deck! Bear sightings are plentiful in this section of the mountains. They were often “visiting” us. They’d just stroll up the driveway and into the woods. You can see one turn of the mountain coaster at Ober Gatlinburg right at the edge of the driveway. It makes a slight squeaky sound when it comes around but it’s closed by 7 in the evenings and didn’t bother us a bit even during the day. The drive up is not for the faint of heart but well worth it! We will definitely reserve this cabin again in the future!

Oh man, it was terrifying, at first. By day 4, I wasn’t scared. We wouldn’t drive it in the winter, but for summer it was great. Hey view and privacy was perfection. We saw several bears so lock your car. On the last day, a bear got in ours while we were loading the car to leave. The cabin is spacious, well stocked, and very comfortable. It is clean but it needs a deep cleaning. We would absolutely stay there again (spring or summer) we had. I issues and no complaints.

We had reservations and then the coronovirus became a reality. Everything in Gatlinburg closed and then the park closed two days after we arrived. We spent a lot of time in the cabin so it's a good thing it is a comfortable place to vacation. We cooked our own food every day in the kitchen and have no complaints with the accommodations. We'll be back again, hopefully under better circumstances.

Steep

The house was everything the listing described. Nothing fancy but cozy and comfortable. Master bathroom was the number one attraction for me as I love huge jacuzzi tubs. However the trip to this rental was not as attractive. The roads are very narrow and steep. I am not a mountain girl by no means I am a toes in the sand kind of girl. When I say steep I mean some turns were simply straight up in the air it seemed. I drive a Jeep Wrangler and for the most part 4L was used to climb. The driveway was extremely steep as well the picture doesn't do justice. I parked at the bottom on the flattest place possible and walked to the house. Any reviews on bears are accurate. Thank goodness my husband accidentally left my back window down because I woke up to bear prints all over my Jeep... apparently my son left a fast food bag and the bear picked up that scent. He leaned in with one paw on my center console another in the seat and tore the bag up.. finished with busting 3 diet Dr Pepper bottles. No major damage and a really cool story for years to come. All in all a great trip other than the roads. So go prepared with everything you'll need. You will not want to make many trips down this mountain or I didn't anyway.

What a spectacular view up there among the clouds

My happy place!Only thing that would have made it better is if all our kids and grandkids could have been there with us! Only 2 negatives - The drive up (and down) could be a bit unnerving if you're not used to mountain driving (particularly at night). Also, there is a ride from an amusement park next to the lot. But, it's really not a problem, as they can't see the house, and you can only see a bit of the ride, and get a little noise during the day. Overall, very nice, and we would stay there again.

Worst 7 days and 6 nights ever!!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mice dropping in the closet by the kitchen, killed 4 spiders inside the chalet, mattresses very uncomfortable as if they have never been replaced, bears hung out around the cabin everyday which made it very hard to go anywhere... This was not the vacation I intended on enjoying... I'm very dissatisfied... Definitely will never book this chalet/chalet village website ever again..
