Cozy cottage in fabulous location

We really enjoyed our stay - the house was perfect for our group (4 adults and 5 children). The location just off the beach is really convenient for families with children. Making s’mores at the fireplace in the backyard while watching the sunset was a wonderful.

Lovely beach front stay

This place is a great place for a small family gathering. We had two families (5 kids total) and it was the perfect amount of space. The views of the sunset and personal beach access were wonderful. The stairs down to the beach are steep and loooong, but well worth it once you are on the sand. We hope to come again!

Cozy, well- maintained cottage on the beach

House was clean and perfect for our family of 7. Lots of beach toys, chairs, and bath towels. The convenience of the washer/dryer was wonderful. We loved our stay here.

Just like the photo

This lake front location lets you look at Lake Michigan day and night, and swim on a beach that is better than any beaches I've been on in California and Florida. The cottage is excellently furnished, especially the kitchen, which can often be lacking in a rental. The beds are comfortable. This is a special place.

Second timers!

This was our second year renting this beautiful home. It was better then last year. Very well stocked. Everything you need for a perfect vacation. 17th annual reunion of Flint Southwestern girls weekend. Seven ladies and all the room we needed! Thank you Vicky.

Great location, property is a bit dated

You're on private beach in Holland - it's a terrific location, and the view is incredible. Property has some quirks - the lights flicker when the microwave or coffee machine are running, the showers are difficult to operate and temperature is quite difficult to get comfortable. However, it's a great spot for a weekend getaway to the beach. The fire pit and chairs out back are a lot of fun.

Michigan lakefront house

The house has a nice Michigan lake view. The kitchen is updated. Upstairs bathroom needs update. To go down to the lake you need to claimb down 86 steps. Because of the land errosion there is not a lot of beach area. Owner needs to install a fence to make it safe for kids. Overall we enjoy our stay.

The house has been updated. All the beaches on Lake Michigan have significant erosion, but we have a seawall as well as steps. The beach condition was fully disclosed as to the size and shape, it can change daily. I am not sure where a fence is warranted since the stairs go directly to the beach and there are handrails on both sides

Beautiful Sunsets

This was our 16th Annual Girls Weekend. We loved the house, kitchen and the refrigerator ! Every night a beautiful sunset followed by a fire in the firepit. The deck was perfect for games and the dining room table accommodated us for all the meals we cooked. This will be the first time we rebooked the same property. We may have found our forever home! Beautiful view and great location

Outside of the house is not very attractive and there is some deferred maintenance. The inside is very nice with comfortable beds, pillows and linens. The kitchen is well stocked and very nice. The basement is unfinished but is a great hangout spot with a ping pong table and a foosball table with 3 couches for lounging. The outside area is wonderful for cooking out, bonfires and watching the sunset. The beach is fabulous. The stairs to the beach are steep and not for people that have trouble getting around. The bath towels were left in the dryer for us to retrieve and fold. The bathtub needed to be cleaned a little more. The owner was very receptive and apologized for the cleaning crew. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cute little cottage with a beautiful view

My family enjoyed our week at this property. The stairs to the beach have seen better days but we’re sufficient to get down to the beautiful private beach. Public access is next to the property which was a bit of a downside. The cottage itself was adequate and clean. Few quirks that were obvious no one actually lived there and this is just a rental. Property had all necessary supplies and even extra beach chairs and floats. Basement had ping pong table and other games which were perfect to keep kids entertained on rainy days. Property management was responsive when there was an issue with trash pick up and lightbulbs. Overall we were very satisfied with this property.

Beautiful view

We had a great time at this rental. It was very clean, the check in process was easy and it had lots of towels! The beach is much bigger this summer as I understand it,and we had planty of space to play in the sand. The steps are many, but easy! If we had questions the owner responded in a timely manor. Some things to note about the house, Basement is unfinished but clean and included a washer and dryer, a bathroom with portable room divider. The Keurig is simple to use, unlike one review that stated otherwise.There are not many sand toys for little kids but we did bring a few just in case. Lots of floaty rafts and such for water. Beach chairs and a great fire pit. Main floor is updated, light do flicker when washing machine or dryer is on. Owner is aware and addressing this. Showers are a bit tricky to get the water to a temperature and have it stay consistent. Overall everything was fantastic and it was a relaxing atmosphere! Would love to visit again!

Spectacular view, nicely updated interior

When you walk into the cottage, you see a panorama of Lake Michigan through sliding glass doors. It's a view that never grows old. The house is recently renovated; it's enjoyable to spend time in it. It is comfortable and furnished with everything that's needed, from kitchen equipment to beach toys. We contacted Vicki, the host, about a neighborhood power outage and a deck umbrella that snapped in high wind. She was very responsive. You can't go wrong here.

Fantastic sunsets

Very clean, newly renovated house right on Lake Michigan. With the lake levels dropping a bit the beach is wide with lots of space. Long stairs down, not steep but long. One thing to note is that when we visited the coffee maker is a K-cup machine, and not a friendly one! Otherwise everything was great - being able to enjoy lunch/dinner on the deck, and being close to Holland.

Girls getaway

We had a great time at The Beach House. Beautiful sunsets over the lake. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was a perfect location close to town, yet quiet and secluded. The only thing we noticed is there was limited kitchen towels and no wash cloths in the kitchen and bathrooms. We made do, but for future guests it might be helpful to have them provided. We definitely will keep this on our list for future visits.

Family vacation

We had a great time at this property. Nice updates inside. The beach can be challenging to get to but we were fully aware of the stairs and water level prior to booking. Victoria was very responsive when needed. There is a marina nearby to rent water craft to enjoy lake Michigan as well, but we mostly stayed at the home enjoying the view, sunsets and quiet of the area. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Expansive Lakefront with amazing sunset views

Broad lakefront with captivating views and plenty of seating on deck and lawn from which to enjoy it. Spacious lawn for activities with lots of shade. Main areas of the home are recently updated and beautiful done, with well- appointed kitchen including Ninju blender and Keurig Supreme. Quiet area. Due to high water levels, beach is small but clean and sandy bottom makes for great swimming. Would book again.

Amazing Views!!

The house has the best views. You can literary watch the sunset from the living room couch. The hosts were very accommodating and came to our rescue when we ended up locking ourselves out of the house.

Can’t beat the view!

Location location location 😊 The view is phenomenal! House was clean and main area nicely renovated, bedrooms were not updated but clean and perfectly fine. One bath was situated in corner of the basement (no walls!) so that was unexpected, master bath shares with main floor so used by all regularly and upstairs bath small for two large rooms but we had one family use that for showers and the others used master. Stairs to beach were long haul but safe. We didn’t expect the sandbags but that’s just dealing with lake erosion. Private beach usually under water but neighborhood beach right next to it — not very big and concrete blocks were a concern getting our little girls in and out of the water but sandy lake bottom went out quite a way and very nice!! Firepit was fun and we sat there for great sunset every night that weather allowed. Nice deck and cooked with the Weber grill a couple nights. Not far from town and Holland attractions and stores. Very nice stay. Did not realize bath towels were not provided, talked to owner about it upon arrival who said they would send over towels but they never arrived. Had a bad storm while there and one door wall leaked but everything else stood the test of crazy wind gusts. Lights flickered sometimes for no apparent reason but never went out. I have rented many vacation homes and this was in the top five for the view and nice living/kitchen area! Also plenty of beach toys provided.

Million Dollar View

Open floor plan, tasteful contemporary renovation, useful lower level space, feeling of privacy despite being on a street of lovely homes, close to bike trail, public beaches. Sandy Pointe Beach House is an excellent restaurant a short drive away. Nice distance from downtown.

Family time

The views of Lake Michigan from the house are wonderful with stunning sunsets. Hanging out at the firepit was a great addition for evenings. The recently updated kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you need to cook! The first floor is all updated, the 2nd floor needs some updating, but it is functional and quiet. There is very little actual beach, and it is difficult to see the lake over the seawall when you sit on the beach. Erosion is fairly significant, so you are best to go to the public beach at Holland State Park Beach. The vrbo picture number 20 of the private beach (last photo) is the most accurate depiction of the condition of the beach at the house. Owner was responsive when we got locked out, unknowingly, as we were not aware we had to use the lock box code to access the house as opposed to using a key that was listed as provided on the paperwork in the house, but was not provided. I am sure this will all be straightened out for future renters. We gave it 3.5 stars because, in addition to the beach issue and the lockout situation, there were a number of minor repairs that should have been addressed prior to our arrival. Owner is aware of these issues. All in all, nice porch to view Lake Michigan, beautifully renovated kitchen, and quiet house to enjoy family time.

The code for the door in posted in the listing for the house. As far as the seawall it is 2 ft tall and you can lay on the beach and see over it fine. You and your party damaged the brand new door on the master level and it needed to be repaired as well as the towel holder, toilet paper holder in the main level bath and upper level bath, All were new.
