The house itself is lovely and as pictured. The actual owners live nearby and are a lovely French couple, friendly, helpful, and really delightful (they also own a pizza restaurant in Deshaies which is excellent). They provided excellent information on getting around the island, additional places to explore, referrals to restaraunt (which were spot on) and even information on Sushi delivery (which was fantastic). They checked to make sure we were doing well and everything was ok without being intrusive at all.The house is actually a duplex (upstairs and downstairs). The downstairs has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths plus a kitchen, outdoor living room that can be isolated with storm shutters and air conditioning put on (but would be totally dark) and another outdoor area. A great aerial view is available in the Death in Paradise show, Season 10, episode 3 which starts with an aerial shot to the villa where the episode is filmed. the upstairs has the visible outdoor area which is very comfortable, an indoor air conditioned area with kitchen, a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living room and then an upstairs loft bedroom with bathroom. The entire area, plus yard with pool and spa are in a fenced area with a raising door to access the property making it totally secure.We booked through VRBO and the listing is not accurate. Jean sent us the information from the French booking site which was accurate and had the additional info and cost. For check in info he stated “Call Sophie”.
