Beautiful Ocean & Lake Front with fountain cozy cottage.

This adorable 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage is perfect for small families, singles and couples. Living room, kitchen and dining area has an open concept. The family room has a sofa that opens into a queen size bed as well. Tastefully decorated and on a quiet peaceful street. This was once a smaller home that was remodeled with an addition to make into a charming 2-bedroom cottage. A must see to appreciate property. The cottage features expanded cable & wifi with a large private deck over looking the lake with fountain, bring your fishing poles as fishing is allowed. Front street side covered porch with rocking chairs and mood lighting. The cottage has board games, playing card & books. It has also has a well stocked kitchen to fit most every cooking and serving needs. The dining area seats 6.amd a Large flat screen tv in living room and master bedroom.

Check in took some time the front desk did not have our reservation had to call the host to have things updated. The house could use some updating. Had to call the host for the WiFi password was not in house. The golf cart had no tail lights or turn signals. The location was close to the beach and pool. In all we had a good time.

Ocean Lakes VRBO Stay

Overall was happy with stay and location in Ocean Lakes. A couple of things we needed that were not available ( we have vacation rentals ourselves) , were a good kitchen knife and a shade on kitchen window.

Our family loved it

I have no complaints at all about this location or the owner. There were a couple of minor issues when we arrived. After speaking with Watty they were resolved within minutes. The kitchen was stocked with anything that you might need. The golf cart was extra but so worth it! The back deck was perfect since we like to fish. Would for sure stay here again!

Could be a nice stay if house was undated.

House super cute but air conditioner could not keep up, back door broke, air filter gross, gum on wall above the top bunk, dirty couch and cloth on table. I understand it was pet friendly but as much as we paid I like to stay where things are clean. And pictures on the website were deceiving.

Terrible, no light bulbs, no lights in front or back porch couldnt see to bbq, futon in hall way owner said it was a second bed room, tvs not working, pull out couch broken, frig rattles, no grilling tools, not an enjoyable stay we left to go to hotel, dont trust watty the owner.

Ocean Front?

Description is not a reflection of the actual property! The pictures need to be updated! It is definitely not oceanfront! “Steps from the beach” more like all your steps for the week! Very misleading! Also, there is a bunkbed! This is definitely not listed! The house was not even surface cleaned. The rugs are filthy and the vacuum just shoots dirt all over the floors. I spent over an hour cleaning after we arrived. This place is a dishonest representation at best! VRBO should review the listing and compare with the property! Do not be fooled!!!

Pelican Pointe House

For starters when we went to check-in after the check-in time we weren’t even on the list, there had been no communication to OL about our stay. It took us a bit to get in touch with the owner and then when we did get in touch he had no recollection of us renting the golf cart or anything so we had to pay to rent the golf cart on spot when we thought we already had. Also you have to pay a parking fee for every vehicle each day to stay at the house which wasn’t clearly stated. The AC also couldn’t keep up and at one point was 83° in the house with an infant present which isn’t safe. Just all in all the first day was very stressful.

Could have been better

It was frustrating when trying to contact Watty different times because he has other businesses he deals with. He did charge me more because I had a big dog. I made sure there was no damage and cleaned and sweep before I left (I was there for the whole month of Oct.) In the contract it states "security deposit will be refunded if everything is left in order with no damages". He had sent me a message through VRBO stating "we will certainly be leaving you a great review for your stay..." I have contacted him 3 different times about my refund but he is ignoring my messages to him.

Good house on the lake

This was a nice house on the lake. It’s nicely decorated and the bunk beds were comfortable but the couch had stains and the carpet in the master is badly stained as well. The air couldn’t keep up either-the temp was always at least 5 degrees higher than what we had it set on during the day and it would finally catch up in the middle of the night. But the house was in a wonderful location with a deck and it was cozy at night.

Great time

The house was perfect for me andy wife and 2 boys age 4 and 7. Being on the lake we could fish off the back deck. Watty was super responsive to any problems we had and even worked with us to make things work out no matter the issue we had. We have been going to Ocean lakes for the past 6 yrs and plan on renting from him again for years to come.

Déception

C’est la troisième maison que je loue à ce camping et c’est la première fois que je suis déçue. Suite à deux courriels reçus la veille de notre arrivée et un appel que j’ai fait au propriétaire environ trois heures avant notre arrivée, rien de ce qu’il m’a dit n’était vrai, à la réception ils n’avaient ni mon nom, ni le code pour entrer dans la maison comme mentionné par le proprio. Ça a pris 75 minutes avant d’avoir la maison. L’annonce dit qu’il y a 3 grands lits et 1 1/2 salle de bain mais il n’y a qu’un lit double et un futon et seulement une salle de bain. Lorsque j’ai téléphoné au proprio pour lui faire part de ça, il avait un ton agressif et me demandait si j’avais lu la description. Le tapis d’une des chambres était très sale, quelques rideaux brisés, divan et fauteuil tachés au salon. À l’extérieur seulement deux chaises pour la table alors qu’il mentionne que cette maison est pour 6. Ça a pris une semaine avant d’avoir 2 autres chaises et un parasol comme montré sur les photos. Communication très désagréable avec le proprio. Cette maison ne vaut pas du tout le prix que j’ai payé.

Poor communication

Very challenging time checking in. Many calls to host, he didn’t answer and mailbox was full. He would eventually call back. Was told by him that the welcome center would have the house information and the house code, made three trips to the welcome center, and was repeatedly told he had to provide the code. Finally was able to reach him and obtain the code. Will not rent with Vrbo again. Also, very few light bulbs, back deck was filthy( I scrubbed most of it so I could sit out there),and many broken blinds, including the bedroom.

Beach cottage getaway

Because the property is not managed by the resort, check-in can be a little less smooth, and there are additional fees for vehicles (which are included when renting property through the resort. The house was clean, cozy & comfortable. We had a really great time!
