Coastal Cottage on the Water with Dock

This quaint waterfront cottage is a peaceful retreat with character, modern luxuries, and an private dock providing you access to the water! This home is the perfect place to getaway whether you want to disconnect and relax and rejuvenate or you are up for exploration and adventure! Warm, inviting, and full of natural light, this 3 bed, 2 bath, 1,530 sq ft cottage built in 1957 has been beautifully maintained and updated. The incredible back porch with waterfront views provides you with 600 sq ft of additional living space and comfortable, modern coastal furniture for gathering together, outdoor dining, and relaxing. There is also a smart TV on the porch mounted over the faux fireplace.

Here, the peaceful nature of this property is evident and wildlife abounds. You will truly feel miles away from the hustle and bustle without having to be. Located on Bumps Creek just off Chadwick Bay in the quaint fishing village of Sneads Ferry, the fish are always jumping and occasionally you will see dolphin and otters swimming in front of the dock. Pelican, Heron, Osprey, Drum, Flounder, Trout, Oysters, and Blue Crabs abound! You can bring your boat, fish off the dock, or rent a boat or jet skis to be delivered and waiting for you at the dock! From the dock, you can access the beautiful beaches of Topsail Island by boat in 5 minutes, or access the Island by car in 10-15 minutes. Topsail Island was recently ranked the most affordable Island in the United States. This quaint, laid back Island is truly a hidden gem, with 26 miles of coastline where you will find some of the most beautiful beaches and incredible clear blue water on the East Coast.

Inside the home you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for 8, spacious living room/sunroom with smart TV, high speed wifi and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. The large master suite has an incredibly comfortable king bed, smart TV, and large private ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower. The 2nd bedroom also has an incredibly comfortable king size bed and a fantastic bay window overlooking the waterway. The third bedroom has a high quality wooden bunks bed (twin over full) suitable for children and adults and a desk in situated in front of the window overlooking the waterway!

We have a fully stocked shed with equipment exclusively for your use! Available equipment: 3 kayaks (two single, one triple), 4 stand up paddle boards, bikes, beach chairs, the outstanding shibumi beach shade, corn hole, kids outdoor toys, a metal detector, and more!

Whether you're planning a romantic retreat, a family vacation, or a business trip, our Coastal Cottage has everything you need! There are excellent waterfront dining and shopping options, you can enjoy live music at laid back beach bars, take a sunset boat tour, fish, golf, or book an adventure to sail, or jet ski!
This peaceful place of refuge for adults is also paradise for the kids. You can boat or jet-ski to the beaches of Topsail Island to boogie board, fish, surf, build sandcastles, watch for dolphins, or hunt for shells. You can fish off our dock, take the kayaks and paddles out to explore the waterways, ride bikes to explore the area, play corn hole, mini-golf, or hike the Mountain to Sea Trails. You can visit the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue, or take a historic tour of the Island. From Soundside Park you can walk to get ice cream and play at the park or fish for crabs off the docks.

We have keyless access door locks allowing you to check-in anytime it’s convenient for you and the high speed wifi will keep you connected (if you choose to be :).

HOUSE RULES
Please do not smoke inside the property.

If you would like to use items in the shed that are not included, please send us a text or give us a call first to make payment arrangements.

Please do not light fires in the indoor fireplace. there is a remote on the TV stand for the electronic candles that are in the fireplace.

SUPPLIES
We provide a "starter pack" amount of laundry detergent, paper towels, and K-cups for the Keurig so you have what you need for your first day after arrival. We also provide enough toilet paper for your entire stay!

Propane is provided for the grill. Please use caution when lighting the grill and be sure to turn both the grill and the propane off when you are done. If you notice the propane is low, our out, please let us know! Please be sure to clean the grill if you use it.

We normally have some firewood stacked on the side of the house. You are welcome to use it in the fire pit. Please do not burn any trash in the fire pit, only wood!

LINENS
King beds will be made. Linens for the bunk beds and sofa/chaise lounge and/or queen size air mattress will be individually packaged and located on the shelving in the laundry room.


TOWELS
We provide enough bath towels, washcloths, and hand towels for each guest and they are located on the shelves in the laundry room. We also have some beach towels you are welcome to use. These are located on the shelves in the laundry room as well.

3 Smart TV's with Netflix access (2 indoor, 1 on screened patio)

We have the following additional equipment available at the property (some for you to use and some for additional rental). If you would like to rent any of the optional equipment, you can do so by indicating so prior to arrival or after you have arrived at the property and we will send you a separate funds request in advance:

Departure Checklist
Please wash and put away dishes (for last minute items, load dishwasher and run it before leaving and slide the clean/dirty sign to clean);
Please remove all linens from beds and put them in designated laundry bags (laundry bags are located in each bedroom room);
Place all towels in the laundry basket located in the laundry room;
Please discard all your open food and drinks in the refrigerator/freezer;
Please check the thermostat and ensure it's set on Auto with the AC set at 71 & Heat at 68;
Ensure all shed equipment is clean and secured back in the shed;
Ensure all doors and windows are shut and locked;
Turn off all lights and fans; and
Please remove all trash and recycling and place in the trash/recycling bins on the side of the house (note: please do not leave trash bags outside of the trash bins (friendly raccoons will find them every time and leave you a mess :) If trash bins are full, please call or text owners (910) 742-2229;
The Trash and Recycling is picked up on Mondays, the trash service will come pull the cans to the truck and put them back in place on the left side of the house.
