Wander Camp Yellowstone is a rustic glamping accommodation located just 20-25 minutes outside of West Yellowstone, MT. We offer an immersive outdoors experience while including a few more amenities than traditional camping while still operating off-grid. If you're looking for a place to stay that provides the sights and sounds of nature along with a few comforts from home, book now!
Wander Yellowstone's King tent includes 1 King bed within walking proximity to shared bathrooms.

OUR TENTS
Each of our large, waterproof canvas bell tents - 216 sq. feet, 16 feet in diameter and height - include low profile windows and a large netted door with double zippers for privacy. Inside you'll see they come furnished with not only the necessary camping furniture, but luxury beds with high thread count sheets, plush down comforters, pillows and blankets. A soft rug, side tables and leather wingback chairs give it that touch of home.

We do operate completely off-grid which means no electricity is provided at camp. We provide solar lanterns in each tent for lighting, as well as solar lighted pathways throughout camp; however, you'll definitely want to make sure you take time to enjoy the darkness for star gazing outside of our tent.

OUR BATHROOMS
Our camp has COMMUNAL bathroom facilities which are shared with all guests across camp. The bathrooms are under a separate canvas bell tent (not attached to individual guest tents) and are within walking proximity on the grounds. Bathrooms include a RV flush toilet, running sink, and warm shower. Water temperature all depends on usage, as well as outdoor temperatures and may at times be cold. *Bathroom water is not consumable, but can be used for brushing teeth.Only toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels are provided in the bathrooms. Towels and any other toiletry items desired are to be provided by the guest.

We advise all guests to plan ahead and pack accordingly as this is an immersive outdoor accommodation and experience.

We chose to operate off-grid in order to uphold the rural nature of our location with the purpose of bringing our guests uninterrupted views of the most beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stars. The following items are provided in order to keep our guests both comfortable and safe.

- Eco-friendly, solar powered lighting throughout camp.
- Complimentary solar powered lantern(s) inside of tents.
- Guests are encouraged to provide their own USB battery operated charger for cell phones and additional charging of lanterns, as needed.

We loved it!! It felt very rustic like being on an old wagon train yet with good food and bathrooms. We would love to come back again. Maybe when it’s a bit warmer but it was amazing.

This was a new and fun experience for us. The only thing I wish we had done different was wait for warmer weather, but the portable heaters for rent helped a lot. This was an overall fun stay.

This was a highly disappointing experience—we didn't even end up staying the night. Upon check-in, we were informed that the property had run out of heaters for the tents. While inconvenient, we were prepared to make do. However, we were then told that the nearest restroom to our tent—which was already quite a walk away—would likely be closed for several hours because it was "full." We were also advised that the food truck canteen, which serves coffee and breakfast in the mornings, would likely be closed as well. Unfortunately, the tent itself was underwhelming. It was damp, appeared to have mold growing on the outside, and did not match our expectations based on the listing. Prospective guests should know that this is not what many would consider "glamping." The canvas tents sit directly on the ground, and the "queen bed" consisted of two cots pushed together. The experience also looked very different from the photos. We were excited about waking up to mountain views, but our tent was located in a wooded area surrounded by tall trees. The site also felt much less private than expected, with neighboring tents situated quite close by. Overall, for $250 per night, we expected a much higher-quality experience. Between the lack of basic amenities, the condition of the accommodations, and the misleading expectations created by the photos, we chose not to stay. There are far better options available at this price point.

Worth the experience

Best Parr of my stay was a cow walking up to our tent this morning to peak in the screen, was super cool. The only complaint I have is I feel that the pictures on the listing are misleading, the yurt is fine and the bed was super comfy, but I was under the impression the yurt had its own toilet because of the picture. As long as you are okay with shared restrooms and shower I would still recommend. Convenient location outside of west yellowstone.

Glamping near Yellowstone

We loved our experience on this beautiful property. The tent was very spacious and the bed was amazingly comfortable and cozy. The views were breathtaking. I woke in the morning to a gorgeous sunrise and herd free range cows who strolled over to meet me. The photo ops were amazing. On our eight night trip sleeping in several nice hotels, this night in the tent was by far our favorite. We are so happy we stayed here.

Unique, comfortable, peaceful.

Quiet, and peaceful campsite. Wonderfully comfortable bed and tent. Bathroom situation needs work. Only 3 toilets and showers for at least 40 tents wasn't enough. Shower broke. But having a hot shower and a comfy bed after a long day of hiking was very welcome. We would stay here again.
