Salty Poynt: A BRAND NEW, Beautiful & Airy Beach Cottage

We designed this beach cottage with YOU in mind! It's located 0.3 mi from Long Sands Beach, a 5 minute walk. It's the perfect size - it's cozy, yet large enough for a family or two to comfortably enjoy a getaway. It features an all white kitchen and a spacious living room with a beautiful gas fireplace for those colder New England months and AC for the hotter months. There are 3 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms and a washer and dryer, as well. The property includes a covered front porch w/ teak table and chairs. There is a grill & a beautiful and convenient outdoor shower. Did we mention this cottage is BRAND NEW?

Please note:
-We offer Friday to Friday rentals in the summer.
-We do not offer any discounted rates for longer rentals.
-The top bunk beds are designed for children due to weight limit capacity/safety.
-At most we are able to accommodate 8 people total with a maximum of 6 adults.

Beautiful home. We had a wonderful stay, the house is brand new, everything we needed and more. The owners are so nice and hospitable. My grandson had board games and beach toys and lots to occupy him. I highly recommend, we will likely be back.

Perfect location and size for us. Cooked out a lot - and the kids played a lot of cards on the front porch. We spent most days at the beach - we were lucky with great weather! We'll definitely book again!

Peaceful and beautiful stay

We traveled for a wedding with our 2 kids under 2. I was looking for a convenient, quiet, but accessible location and this home delivered all and more! They had 2 pack n plays so we didn't have to travel with them (amazing!). The location is beautiful, SO close to parks and the water and very quiet (which is great for sleep and naps). There were SO many toys and games for both the kids and adults. It was very clean and so cute! If we are ever back in the area - we will definitely stay again :)

Beautiful, immaculate cottage that is a five-minute walk from the beach in charming York Beach

There is pride in ownership by the owners of this property, which has all the comfort and conveniences to make our stay memorable. The owners were extremely accommodating. Will definitely try to stay here again if I am in the area.

Coastal Maine getaway/ wedding

Cottage was just a listed - cozy, new and clean. Location was perfect for going to the beach and day trips around surrounding area. Host was very helpful and timely with her responses. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again when in the area.

Une excellente première expérience

Il s'agissait de notre première expérience sur toute la ligne: première vacances dans le Maine et première location de chalet. Je dois admettre que l'expérience va certainement nous inciter à recommencer (les enfants nous ont déjà demandé d'y retourner l'an prochain). Le chalet est très accueillant, sympathique et bien équipé. De plus (et il s'agissait d'un des plus importants critères pour ma conjointe) la propreté y était irréprochable. De mon côté, je souhaitais une localisation pratique et je ne fus pas déçu. Le chalet se trouve à moins de 10 minutes à pieds de la plage et pas beaucoup plus loin du village; tout peut se faire sans voiture. Finalement, les propriétaires sont très bien organisés et transmettent efficacement les informations requises pour que la prise de possession des lieux se fasse aisément. Je recommande fortement.

Annual York Vacation

This is the first time we’ve stayed at this property but we go to York with our family every year. This is the best house we’ve stayed at - both amenities and location. Less than 10 minute walk to both Long Sands Beach and Downtown York, easy to walk even with younger kids. The house is clean and cozy, with plenty of air conditioning to stay comfortably cool in the summer. Everything you need is provided. Highly recommend this property and the owners. We would rent this house again!

Beautiful Property, Outstanding Location

Our family stayed at Salty Poynt from Friday July 29th through Friday August 2nd. It's a lovely, very clean, very comfortable house within walking distance from Long Sands Beach -- which is awesome. Plenty of room in the house for our family of eight. Everything worked, no problems at all the entire time. It's a very up-to-date, modern house. A/C was a huge plus as the evenings were seasonally muggy. Liz was a very friendly, gracious host; she connected with us on arrival and departure. I'd stay again in a minute! Thanks so much!

Great Vacation Get Away close to beach

We had a fantastic Stay at Salty Poynt We have vacationed in Southern Maine for 7 years and it has become a tradition for us. Salty Poynt is close to everything you could want in a vacation. Clean and comfortable housing. My family and I loved it! 5 Star

Repeat customer!

We have been coming here every year since the house was built- and we love it! The house is clean, fully stocked, and an easy walk to the beach. The owners are extremely nice and easy to communicate with. Every year they add more - this year AC and linens were added which made our trip even better! Thank you for a perfect week at the beach! We will be back!!

Excellent! Very enjoyable, comfortable, cozy, and attractive. Did mention to owners that door latch in one bedroom did not catch so it never closes completely. And there were markings on wall in living room where corner chair is located .everything else was perfect. Thank you!

The property was exactly as described on the website. It was very clean and well decorated. The location was great! It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and the town of York. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect Spot for Our Summer Getaway

Our family’s stay at Salty Poynt was wonderful. The house had everything we needed, inside and out, including an updated kitchen and a lovely yard for the kids to play in. While not far from the main road, the street the house was on had no traffic at all, which was perfect for the kids playing outdoors. The house is an easy 10 minute walk to Long Sands Beach. We’d definitely stay here again if back in York Beach.

Great Escape

Salty Poynt was a terrific cottage … close to the beach. With the exception of not having air conditioning, the cottage was very livable.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed this home very much. A very short easy to walk to the beach . (7 mins) . Home was clean and bright. The owner was incredibly responsive and provided many suggestions and ideas of things to do! We definitely recommend this property.

Another amazing week!

This is the second summer we have stayed here for a week and it was still amazing! We hope to stay again next year! The property is still immaculate, clean, and well maintained. The hosts are easy to communicate with and super fast to respond. The location is fantastic! We have no complaints! Thank you for another great week of family memories!

Salty Poynt

The property was clean and the hosts were very accommodating and responsive. The walk to the beach may be a little far with children, but was not daunting for us adults. The lack of air conditioning made enjoying being in the house difficult as there were also no enough fans provided for all rooms and the house is too far from the beach for any ocean breeze. Also felt as though the rental linen price should have been included in the original pricing, as most rentals have towels and linens included in your stay.

Very Good

The house is very nice, it’s on a quiet side street with plenty of parking which is very convenient. We enjoyed the covered front porch when the weather wasn’t the best but wish there had been more privacy since there are houses on both sides and there is no other outdoor space. Only complaints are we didn’t like having to deal with the trash, the shower floor in the main bathroom is quite slippery, and since there is no central AC the house did occasionally get overly warm. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and communication with the host was great. Would recommend.

Never used VRBO before. Didn't like having to either bring or rent all bedding and towels. Additional cost and longer to beach than stated. Considering cost additional housekeeping duties also such as trash , dishes, washing bath rugs.

Salty Poynt

The house was lovely, and conveniently located near the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much! The only complaint I have is the fact that we had to rent linens for this rental which not only cost us an additional $225, but after a long day of travel, it was a lot of work to have to make all the beds putting on pillow cases and sheets before we could go to sleep. I understand this was put in practice due to COVID…. But that time has past. I recommend the owners go back to providing the linens and have the housekeeper make the beds. Other than that this vacation rental was awesome!
