“Lythgoe” to the Lake house is a beautiful lakefront property directly on Island Park Reservoir. Summer 2023 is now open for reservations! Check out our new amenities: paddle boards and a hot tub (available for a nightly fee).

Enjoy the lake in the summer and the snow in the winter. We are well set up for multiple guests with a large kitchen including 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, double oven, 2 fridge freezers and an oversized cooktop. You will also enjoy 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 additional sleeping loft spaces, large daylight walk out basement with an additional kitchen. This lodge has a home theater, fireplace, wifi, BBQ grill, fire pit, outdoor and indoor games, and a private boat dock!

Large picture windows on all floors have beautiful scenic views of the lake and surrounding areas. A large covered back deck serves as a great extension of the dining room with plenty of room for large group eating and room for guests to sit and enjoy fresh mountain air. Extra tables and chairs are available for your use at meal time. A fire pit with seating is available in the back yard. Please bring your own fire wood. If you forget, there are several places in Island Park where you can purchase some. Our private dock is perfect for guests of all ages to swim and play in the water. Feel free to bring your own boat and water toys and enjoy the fun and sun!

The main floor has a kitchen, dining room, living room with a large propane fireplace, master bedroom suite with jetted tub and large walk in shower, additional bedroom, full bathroom, large laundry room with laundry machines. The master suite has a flatscreen TV, king bed and a private entrance to the deck. The upper bunk lofts have 14 twin beds and a full bath. The basement has 5 bedrooms, theater room, a full kitchen, large family room and 2 full bathrooms. Each bedroom has a queen or king bed with 2 of them having additional twin bunk beds.

Bring family and friends to our “Lythgoe” -to- the- Lake house and enjoy our home and all the outdoor and indoor fun. Our lake house is approximately 35 minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. horseback riding, snowmobiling, four-wheeler trails, wildlife watching, fishing, boating and water sports are all within a short distance.

Our family really enjoyed staying in the home. We loved the large great room and kitchen that was beautiful and spacious. We had lots of seating and open spaces. The Lythgoe cabin was perfect for our family with a large kitchen and all the appliances we needed. We are a boating, surfing, and skiing, family. We love being out side playing volleyball and outdoor games which were provided on their large lawn.We hope to stay there again. Larry Coombs

Better Than We Could Have Expected

First of all, the pictures for this home don't do it justice. The setting is beautiful and quiet on the reservoir. The view from the cabin is stunning. It was so fun to wake up to that view every morning. The home was spacious with everything we could have possibly asked for. The kitchen/family area was huge for our crew of 17. Plus a second kitchen in the basement with a theater room for those who wanted quiet time. Kari, the host, was phenomenal. She was so patient and knowledgeable with all our questions and soo quick to get back with answers. We had a wonderful time!

Blissful Trip to the Lake

We had such a blast staying in this home with our family! It was the perfect vacation spot. Hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive. We look forward to staying there again in the future!

We just got back from a wonderful stay at this property. The location was beautiful. Our family enjoyed the use of canoes, paddle boards and volleyball net. We rented a boat from lakeside lodge. We were conveniently located about 40 minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone. We made a trip to the Grand Teton as well. We went ziplining, white water rafting. We did a ton of driving but always enjoyed coming back and relaxing and enjoying your wonderful home. Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay was the best!! So much for the family to do, with access to the lake, paddle boards, volleyball…plenty of space for our family to sleep. Everything was stocked ready for us to cook our meals. The views were beautiful, our favorite place so far!!!

Awesome Getaway

This house was perfect for 8 small families. It was clean and well stocked with plenty of activities during a snowy day. The host was easy to reach and very helpful/kind when needed. Would definitely stay here again.

This place has it all, from excellent location to premium views. Property has everything you need for a memorable getaway. Sleeps very large groups comfortably. Hosts are extremely accommodating. They also check to make sure you’re not having any issue's. Will definitely stay again.

Absolutely wonderful!

Such a beautiful, comfortable stay. Grandkids aged 10mos to 13 loved it! Very sweet, attentive host checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Very quick to respond to questions. As a group of 22, we brought too much stuff as we had no idea how well this house was equipped. Kids and parents LOVED being on the lake, so much so that it wad hard to get the kids excited about another day at Yellowstone. They just wanted to be in the kayaks, on the SUPs, fishing or in the Theater room. Best VRBO yet! All 22 of us highly recommend!

We had a great time at Lythgoe! Plenty of space to relax and play games. Loved having the dock right off the back to launch kayaks and wave runners. Communication with the owner was fantastic and we can't wait to go back!

Enough space for all!

We had a reunion with 30 people over the 4th of July. The house was perfect for our group. The 2 bunk rooms worked perfectly for most of the kids. It was nice that some of the rooms had a queen and a bunk or twin so that some kids could stay in their parents room if that made them more comfortable. There was a great amount of fridge space with 3 fridges. We never left the property and there was plenty to keep us busy. We had a plumbing issue during our stay and the owner drove 3 hours each way to take care of it for us. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Expectations Exceeded

This home is absolutely beautiful! We came together for a family reunion and had 24 people staying in this home. Not once did it feel crowded, and there was always plenty to do for kids of all ages. Kari and Russ were so friendly, easy to communicate with made sure we had a great experience. Beautiful home, views and memories. We will be back!

Great vacation rental.

Had 30 people of all ages. The comment from all 7 families was great. Very spacious and right off of the lake. Having two kitchens was great. Main room was much bigger than pictures make it look. We travel to Island park every two or 3 years as a family. We will defiantly try to get this again!! Kim

Family Fun!

We stayed here with a group of about 30 and had such a fun stay and had enough room for everyone! It was not quite as clean as we hoped when we arrived but the host was amazing and so responsive and they corrected the matter so quickly! I would note the 9th bedroom is more like a loft and does not have an actual door but curtains to “close off” the area from the rest of the home, we were a little surprised by that when we arrived. Would stay here again and we had such a fun time and made so many memories!

Great family Vacation

This property is an excellent property for our family event. We had four families, 13 kids raging in ages from one to 16. The location on the lake is excellent. The lawns provide a great playground and the home of amenities are wonderful. The kitchen is well appointed and we used it to cook a lot of meals. The double dishwashers are a lifesaver. The two fridges allowed us to store all of our food. We rented a boat and was able to use the dock at the property Which was very convenient. I would highly recommend this property And we will book it again

Very much as advertised. Large, spacious and fully equipped. Easy communication with hosts and very friendly. Parking of large vehicles and trailers was a tremendous positive surprise! Would utilize this property in the future.
