A little slice of paradise right on the water, 45 mm from Dakar and 25 minutes from the airport. Nestled in the heart of a nature reserve (the Somone Lagoon), you can swim, fish, surf, or simply enjoy some oysters while “chilling” by the water.
One of the few remaining unspoiled places, nestled between the sea and the lagoon—a sanctuary where migratory birds mingle with sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs.
Ira and Awa will be delighted to welcome you, pamper you, and offer advice.
The house has 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Three bedrooms feature a queen-size bed (160x200 cm). The fourth bedroom, ideal for children, sleeps six, including two double beds (140x200 cm) and two single beds (90x200 cm). All bedrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with orthopedic mattresses.
The house features several relaxation areas: a family-friendly outdoor lounge, a “sunbed” for sunbathing with a sea view, a shaded spot for reading or a campfire, and a terrace where you can admire the most beautiful sunsets. And finally, a pergola awaits you by the sea for quality time with your children.
The outdoor kitchen is fully equipped, with ample storage, two refrigerators, and all the necessary appliances. You’ll have access to cooking utensils and basic ingredients, as well as a grill to enjoy the fresh fish that Ira will be happy to order for you.
A lush garden will provide you with organic vegetables for your meals throughout your stay—sometimes tomatoes, eggplants, lettuce, lemons, basil, lemongrass, and even passion fruit and bananas, depending on the season and what nature provides.
You’ll have access to a 3-person inflatable canoe/kayak with 3 personal flotation devices, as well as two magnificent mares (Capucine and Mounira), and their adorable foals (Sakura and Yuki), which you can pamper and ride—if you’re an experienced rider—for lovely strolls along the beach. A variety of outdoor games and board games are also available for relaxing moments with friends or family.
The area is brimming with activities: a safari at the Bandia Reserve, tree-top adventure courses, surfing, deep-sea fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing, or simply an unforgettable picnic in the shade of the baobab trees. And to round out your day, you can share a platter of mangrove oysters at our famous oyster farmer Norbert’s or enjoy a nice cold beer at Bouba’s by the lagoon.
And for nature lovers, you’ll have the chance to observe all kinds of birds, as the lagoon is a major migration route in Africa. The luckiest visitors may even witness the hatching and return to the sea of baby turtles, as Guéréo Beach is a traditional nesting site for sea turtles.
