Hello,, I'm the owner of a newly built home, that I hope I will provide first-rate, memorable experiences for my guests, I'm a nurse for over 30 years, and I love to explore. Im an animals lover, I'm also a mother of 3 boys and have been married for 33 years ,being outdoors is one of my favourite activities, snowmobiling, hiking. I've owned our cottage for 10 years and we decided to rebuild , to enjoy the beautiful views of Colpoys Bay and in the back yard the Bruce Pennisula escarpment

The space
My cottage is brand new , with all brand new beds , linens pillows , we went with a very high end look . I hope everybody appreciates the decorations , and the extra touch to make your stay feel very relaxing !

Guest access
The property has a bunkie out in the back yard which has a double bed , fireplace , tv , DVD and hydro service for your enjoyment The bunkie across the road is not added to this property

Other things to note
The bunkie on the water is my office , where I stay , this is not part of the rental property, next summer , I will have a dock on the water for guest ,but for now the cottage is only water view , you can use the pier just down the road , I can be a phone call away For all quests . I ask the guest to be easy on the use of water as we run water out of a well , and if the guest could not shower one after another ,or it could run out , my well is on a water system and is safe to drink , if the water runs out it will refill in 30 min , and then you can use it , again I will be in the area for all questions, my home is opened to snowmobiling in the winter , the snowmobile trails are close to my home

Week in Wiarton

The property is absolutely beautiful. Geraldine is a very responsive and accommodating host. Lots of different types of spaces to use, both inside and out. Whether you want to swing on the porch or have a fire, or cozy up with a book inside, the options are endless for a quiet retreat.

A pleasant getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. It was easy to get anywhere along the Bruce Trail and many areas to explore. Geraldine took us around on a tour of the house to ensure we knew where everything was. She was also very quick to respond to our questions.

Over Sold

The property is beautiful and highlights the unique aspects of the Niagara Escarpment. The property should have been cleaner. The toilet was gross. The shower could have been cleaner. Scrub brushes and used sponges were left out. Upstairs could have been better vacuumed. There is no dishwasher so sanitizing the dishes is impossible between meals or patrons of the property. The Microwave does not work. One of the guests had dirty sheets. Two of the guests ended up with bug bites similar to those left by bed bugs. The inside doors don't close properly. The bathroom has an internal slide lock more suited for a shed than a high end home as described in the listing. The lack of a safety option for entry will require you break the door to gain entry to the bathroom in an emergency. The street in front of the home is busy with vehicle traffic. The property owner stayed across the street in a small cabin on the water front. We felt watched. The property owner is pleasant, but was quick to send a nasty text listing fees not listed on the VRBO website. This was my first time renting a property like this. Previously other people have made the arrangements or I have stayed in Hotels. I will not be returning to this address.

A marvellous stay

This is a wonderful cottage, superbly decorated, well equipped and clean. The kitchen was so well stocked, with all necessary pots and pans and spices and it made cooking meals during vacation enjoyable. The cottage is very conveniently located, making it a central location to explore the area. Great beds, great shower, good internet connection. The lovely front porch and backyard makes lounging around pleasant. The host responded promptly before and during the stay. Hopefully we can come back again!

Wonderful place

We loved the place. The house is very clean and very relaxing. Everything is provided. We were greeted by the owner who explained to us the activities to do in the area. The location is ideal for visiting the peninsula and also for resting.

Awesome vacation

The property is beautiful and well maintained it far exceeded my expectations. We felt very welcome on our arrival and the host showed us around the property and gave us ideas of different activities to do within the town. It was easy to get in touch with the host if we had any questions. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances for cooking. Our favourite place was the loft where we enjoyed movies and playing games. Thank you Geraldine we will definitely be coming back again.

The place is amazing

We had a great stay there. House is beautiful and clean. Owner is nice and she is in touch as soon as you need something. A perfect view of the lake. I suggest this property to everyone.
