Lakefront Orange Cottage

This studio style Cottage contains two rooms. One room has a full size bed along with a kitchenette unit. The other room has a queen bed. There is kitchenette, a private bath and a large screened porch which sits directly on the water.
Enjoy free use of Kayaks and paddle boards during your stay. In the evening make use of the gas grill r or sit by the camp fire toasting marshmallows with your family after a day of adventures!
Don't forget to bring your pet!
They need a vacation too!

This was a great place for a quick getaway on the water! The cabin is rustic but has everything you could need for a simple stay. The lake beach is lovely and the water sport offerings are wonderful! Nancy was really nice and responsive. We did have an issue with a circuit break, but she came and did a quick fix that night at 9 when we discovered the issue and they came to fully resolve the next day. Would highly recommend for an affordable stay with perfect lake views!

Location was nice right in front of the lake and we took advantage of the kayaks. Shower was very small and cottage a bit rustic but for the location and price was great.

A week of relaxation

This is our third time staying here and what a week we had. We swam, kayaked and played games of clue on the front porch. We love it here for the lake and the charm the cabing has, but most importantly the owners are amazing. They greet us when we arrive like old friends and are available for any need that may arise. If you are looking for a true new hampshire summer vacation experience.....look no further than the rainbow caibs on harvey lake

Just the relaxation we needed

We stayed on this property last year for a weekand and knew we had to come back and do a week. The view from our cabin was magical and or week was filled with swimming, fishing and so many great family memories. The owners are amazing even coming within minutes when our propane tank to the grill was empty. This will not be our last time coming here we are definitely going to make this a yearly tradition.

Right on beautiful lake!

We had a wonderful time at "orange" cottage. Kayaks, chairs. paddle board, etc were provided to use when on lake. Owners were amazing in making sure our stay is enjoyable. We would love to come back again! Thank you for your excellent hospitality!

Family Vacation

We go here every year for at least one week. The owners are super nice and get back to us right away with any questions. We go kayaking and swimming every day and enjoy our time there. Can’t wait until next year!

Summer Vacation

We rented the orange cottage for a week. Cute cottage! Very relaxing. Enjoyed taking the kayak out on the lake. We had no problems when we were there. Met Nancy and Lee - very nice people. Definately worth the price for a week! Would rent again for a quiet getaway!

FYI: Owners are not on site & do not "manage" well...we got there & lights to our cottage did not work...neither did TV & owner knew this--never fixed it but she did get lights working by 6:30 at night (with help from my husband)...screen door of cottage was ripped open...other people's dogs were not controlled or on leashes...took three times asking to get that taken care of and it still was a battle...dog feces were all around & beach was littered with trash until my husband & I picked it up....disappointing for $75 a night. We will not return next year.

Our CottagesOur cottages have not only been a part of our family’s history, but are truly integral to the Town of Northwood’s history.  As the story goes, the 200 year old “Main House”, was considered to be a favorite resting spot for travelers heading through to Concord across the First NH Turnpike.   Later, the cottages were built to allow vacationers to enjoy the one of the best kept secrets of lake getaways.  We’ve kept that hometown charm and feel which allows you to enjoy the same, simple lifestyle, which our grandparents may have enjoyed.  Of course, we’ve added some expected conveniences such as    Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and climate controlled cottages.  Each cottage enjoys a fully unobstructed water view and frontage on the Lake.  Inside you’ll find everything you need for your vacation getaway including linens, towels, soaps, shampoo, and a kitchen that includes everything you need to prepare that fantastic breakfast, lunch or dinner!  Outside, is your own gas grill and fire pit for that romantic campfire.  When you awake each day, you can enjoy taking out a kayak or sit with your family to enjoy the sunrise on a perfectly calm lake.  If you are planning a large family gathering, or even if you want a little extra space, consider the “Main House” as your destination.  The home offers you room for up to 16 guests yet is economically priced to create that romantic getaway for you and your “best friend”. We hope you agree with us that The Cottages at Harvey Lake are truly “Where family memories are made!”
