Don't let the cold and dreary winter months keep you from visiting the Eastern Shore of Maryland and our Waterfront cottage, located on Tangier Sound, with a private pier for fishing and crabbing. Regardless of the weather, the views are captivating. Although the weather may be too cold to enjoy the outdoors, you can watch the oyster boats working, right from the comfort of the Living Room and Sun Room. Enjoy a nice and relaxing getaway during these cold months. Enjoy the waterfront view from the Living Room, Sunroom, and the spacious deck. Sleeps 6; 1 Bedroom with queen size bed, 1 Bath with walk in shower, Kitchen, Living Room with pull out sofa, Spacious Sun Room with pull out sofa, Large open deck, with private pier. Ground level deck at entrance. Queen size bed in bedroom and two queen size pull out sofa's. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, appliances (coffee pot, slow cooker, toaster, blender, mixer, microwave). Dining table in the spacious sun room with an abundance of windows to view Tangier Sound. Enjoy fishing and crabbing directly off the pier and enjoy drinks and dinner on the spacious open deck. 2 miles from public boat ramp and public beach....so bring your boat, kayak, and or canoe.

We didn't want to leave. That about says it all. The cottage was exactly as described in the listing. There are lots of windows to let in the light and the breeze. The bedroom is large with several places to put your suitcases, and there are hooks on the back of the door. The bed is very comfy. The two livings areas have plenty of supportive seating and lots of pillows. The kitchen is on the smaller size with not much counter space but is very well-stocked for cooking. The bathroom is good-sized and the shower is awesome. Good hot water and pressure. But the decks! As you can see from the photo, the back deck is right on the water. The host has provided lawn chairs to bring out. We spent all day on the back deck. When it was too windy (one day) we moved to the front deck which blocked some of the wind. The cottage is fairly isolated (nice neighbors, though), but it's an easy drive to several nice restaurants. Check out Sisters with a Twist in Princess Anne for great breakfast sandwiches. Pick up a couple of hoagies there and take a picnic to Bordeleau Winery in Eden. Wonderful wine! Debbie is a super host. Any question is answered immediately, and the binder she provides has lots of info on the cottage and the area. I'd give a rating of 12 out of 10 if I could.

The cottage is very comfortable and decorated in cute ocean theme. The deck is amazing for relaxing and enjoying morning coffee and evening sunsets. The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors are incredibly friendly helpful people.

The location is very remote from any businesses, you need to travel 30 minutes away for businesses, but perfect if you want peace and quiet for relaxing. Beautiful Bay side cottage, perfect for fishing and crabing. Beautiful sunsets.

Fun place, very eclectic and unique. If U want a quiet place 30 minutes from everything bring your own supplies and stay here. Enjoy the water and the views. The stars are great at night. Wonderful place all the supplies to cook, crab n fish.

Adorable cottage

What a cute place on the water! Brand new floors and lots of sitting areas inside and out! Just a few steps from the deck to the pier! Unbelievably convenient! After my husband discovered the living room recliner was “power”, I never got to sit in it again! Our manual recliner at home is dead to him now!! Wonderful views and sweet neighbors who used to live not too far from our home! Small world!!

Brief Getaway

This is a lovely cottage with a great view. You can’t get much closer to the water. We enjoyed the quiet and the beauty of nature. It is secluded as it’s about 20 minutes from any shopping or eateries. One note, the pictures are accurate however the two steps between the lower level (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom) and the living area are steep if you have any mobility issues.

Beautiful Bay stay

The cottage was just as described, but we were not expecting the beauty and calm of the bay. The eagles, ospreys and fish jumping were highlights. We thought we would explore the area but could not leave the view

Chesapeake Travels

The property was just as listed. We traveled up and down the East shore and enjoyed relaxing at the cottage watching the bay in the evening. Didn’t bring fishing gear and now I regret it. The dock was so inviting. If I ever get a chance to return, this will be my first choice- Dennis

Dream Cottage

We had such a wonderful stay. The location was perfect and the weather cooperated. Each day was special. The host was thoughtful, all our needs were anticipated. The view across Tangier Sound was spectacular, especially at sunset. We saw so much wildlife including butterflies, osprey, cormorants and sea eagles. The cottage was everything we dreamed of.

Secluded serenity

After careful research, we booked this place for my husband's 60th bday as he wanted easy access for pier fishing. It checked all the boxes for location, amenities and pricing. The owner was very informative and responsive. The only reason for 4 stars for cleanliness is because the previous guests had left the doors and screens open and there were a lot of flies. So pay it forward for the next guests and keep it all contained. It was truly a lovely place!

Amazing sunsets

This property is one of the best places to relax and take in the sunset views. The public beach is a quick 5 minute drive. Also a nice place to relax, soak in the sun, play in the water and collect sea glass.

Get away

My son and I have been enjoying fishing and crabbing for 16 years together. This year was special and actually stayed here last year because of the clean house, the great location and the pier. I'm glad we came back this year.

Spring Getaway

We enjoyed the waterfront cottage. The cottage was just as we expected from the listing. The view was beautiful and everything was very comfortable and well stocked with linens, and other basic needs. It was much further away from any towns, shopping, hiking or touristy things to do than we expected although Debbie mentioned in her welcome note to bring all the food and needed supplies because shopping was far. She wasn’t kidding. There was no cabinet space available in the kitchen for the food that we brought though. We had to consolidate plates, cups and pots and pans to put food away. There was beer, soda, and a few other items left in the fridge and freezer. There could also be more counter space in the bathroom to put our toiletries somewhere. It was necessary to move things to find space. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay. It was chilly outside which was a bummer. We would return during a warmer time of year to enjoy the water and outside seating area. Neighbors were nice and suggested going to Berlin for shopping and dinner. Great town. We also traveled to Assateague for a day and went to a town park in Salisbury to hike around and then to their free zoo. Lovely week! Thank you!

Weekend Away

Our three night stay at the Cottage was a peaceful quite time on the bay. We enjoyed the interesting beach decorations in the Cottage and the wonderful view of the bay. Our stay was everything we hoped for.

Relaxing getaway

We had the loveliest time at this peaceful bay side cottage celebrating our anniversay. The house was clean, area was quiet and pretty much away from everything. Relaxing on the deck and lounging on the private dock gave us some much needed R&R! We had a bald eagle hanging out with us for a few days as well!

Summer at the cottage

The cottage is located in an awesome place. The dock on the bay in incredible. You can't get any closer without being in the water. If you enjoying boating , fishing or just the views this is it. The host thinks of everything just in case you forget something. Very clean and cozy.

Amazing place!

Such a beautiful little cottage in a very quiet and remote area. Loved the dock and crabbing was great! The neighbors were so nice, even had traps baited with crabs in them when we arrived. Debbie’s got everything you need and more. Definitely will be back again

Relaxation

Lovely Cottage at the Shore!

Nice enough to just stay at the cottage the entire time. Soooo relaxing! However we did enjoy going on a cruise from Crisfield to historic, Smith Island, tour and lunch there and back again. Crisfield itself is full of history and great restaurants. We will go back again!

Summer crabbing

This is my second summer crabbing trip this year and the first one was at a nice huge md rental by the water and stayed 4 days. To our surprise not one crab showed. So frustrated and saw availability of this one cute cabin like one bedroom house by the water. I booked it rightaway and we arrived, checked out the docked and wow, 7 big crabs waiting for us courtesy of a nice neighbor named Mark? who placed some baits on the traps! The 3 day stay was enjoyable to all of us as we caught more crabs everyday, my daughter enjoyed kayaking and my fishing experience was even memorable as I caught a huge stingray that I could'nt even reel up. The house has a theme which was cute, bed was a little on the soft side, kitchen was well stocked! Thank u Debbie! House was clean with nice patio furnitures. Sink had a huge leaked but Debbie was so quick to come n resolve the problem. Gee, I have been a Vrbo rental for 5 yrs and renting huge and expensive houses by the water but I have never gone back home this happy and satisfied. Thank u Debbie. We'll be back next summer!
