Our "RIVERSIDE" Log Cabin offers the ideal setting for a Smoky Mountain family vacation, a romantic honeymoon, or a peaceful mountain retreat. You'll enjoy privacy, comfort, and the charm of a beautifully crafted log home—all just steps from the soothing waters of the Little River in Townsend, Tennessee.

Perched right on the riverbank in the heart of Townsend—known as “The Peaceful Side of the Smokies”—our cabin invites you to slow down and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Just two miles from your front door is the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the beloved Cades Cove loop, making it easy to explore while still enjoying a quiet, laid-back atmosphere.

This cabin is proudly family-owned and operated as part of Cabins on Little River, LLC. As lifelong residents of Townsend, we take great pride in providing friendly, personal service to make sure every detail of your stay is just right.

Cabin was great. Bed was very comfortable. We were close to town for groceries and eating out. Also close to the park where we spent most of our time. Hot tub was sparkling clean and used every night.

My wife and I enjoyed five nights at the property. Pre-arrival coordination was excellent, with easy instructions to access cabin keys. Significant weather changes required use of both A/C and heat - thermostat worked perfectly/easily and property remained comfy throughout crazy temperature changes. We didn't use the dishwasher, charcoal grill, or fire pit, but did use the microwave, oven, washer and dryer, TV, and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and extremely comfortable after a day of hiking. We cooked two dinners - everything needed to cook a meal is in the kitchen. We typically stay in Gatlinburg, but were pleased with this stay in Townsend and proximity to this side of the national park. We also liked the nearby brewery/pizza joint - excellent food and located next to a grocery store that had everything we needed. The cabin was quiet and comfortable - we would definitely stay here again!

Super clean, convenient and located on the River. Easy access to tube and play in the water, cabin has a nice front porch to view the River activities. Easy access to Wears Valley Rd and the Cades Cove park entrance.We rented the 2 bedroom, but a larger group could rent both cabins and have a great family get-away!

This cabin on the Little Pigeon River was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed—and the beds were incredibly comfortable, which made a big difference after long days out.What really stood out, though, was the level of care and hospitality. Late at night, we reached out to ask how to light the fireplace, and instead of just giving us instructions, Mr. Carnes actually came out in person and took care of it for us. That kind of service is rare and genuinely appreciated.The location couldn’t be better. It’s so quiet and peaceful, with the river right there creating the perfect relaxing atmosphere, yet it’s still less than 20 minutes from both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You get that secluded, getaway feeling without being far from anything.Our 12- and 14-year-old boys absolutely loved being right on the river. They were out there fishing every day, and it was so nice that we could sit on the porch, relax, and watch them enjoy themselves. That was one of the highlights of our trip.We truly loved our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and well-cared-for cabin experience.

Our stay at this beautiful riverside cabin was an absolute dream. Waking up to the serene sounds of the water and enjoying our morning coffee on the patio was pure bliss. The evenings were just as perfect, spent relaxing and listening to the peaceful river flow by. The cabin itself was incredibly comfortable and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. A huge thank you to our host for their kindness and for being so prompt with all of our questions. We can't recommend this place enough!

Lovely cabin

Lovely cabin and lovely view of the river. Kitchen very well equipped. Great porch for coffee, reading, relaxing and cocktails. I really appreciated the owner checking in via text after our arrival to see if everything was good at the cabin. We will definitely return.

Great Cabin!

This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It's definitely on the quiet side of the Smokeys but within a short distance of the excitement of Pigeon Forge. The cabin was very clean and Mr. Carnes was great at responding back to answer any questions. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Loved this cabin and the area!

Beautiful clean cabin right on the Little River. Very quiet and serene! Cant wait for our next visit. Lots of things to do in the area, many restaurants, and nearby grocery store. Drove up to Brushy State penitentiary for a visit- very cool!
