When it comes to picture-perfect getaways in Fort Walton Beach, look to Destin West Heron #306. Located in a desirable waterfront location right on Okaloosa Island near Destin, you won’t find a better place to stay at the beach! This three-bedroom condo is spacious and comfortably sized for 10 guests. Enjoy a home-cooked meal on the covered balcony while the sun sets over the water in the evening. You also have an excellent view of the lazy river which is sure to draw you down in an instant. The bunk beds in the second room are ideal for the kids in your group, and you are sure to hear plenty of giggles coming from here all night long.

Don’t forget about the amenities! This resort has some excellent activities for you to enjoy, from a lazy river to a large lagoon-style pool with Bay views. Safely get to the beach by way of the covered skybridge that connects the Gulf-side and bay-side of the resort. Once you are there, you can rent beach chairs, lounge in the sand, or surf in the Gulf. There are so many options for fun! A hot tub and fitness center are also available here.

Nice clean condo! Easy access to the lazy river and pool. Getting to the beach was more of a hassle. We had to take 3 separate elevators to get there. I wish the condo would have included a beach wagon and/or beach chairs.

Great spot!

We stayed at Destin West last year for an event at the convention center and returned back for the same event. Last year’s place (different rental in the pelican bldg) was a disappointment on every category BUT this condo was CLEAN and very ORGANIZED. We really enjoyed our stay here.

property was clean and the check in process was easy Photos are accurate representation of the property Great access to lots of activities This unit overlooks the lazy river, which was fabulous It is a bit of a trek over to the beach side pools and activities but the beachside pool and the island pool are wonderful would definitely return

Nice clean spacious condo.

Unit was well kept and very comfortable for our group of 10. Would stay here again. A lock on a few of the doors would be a nice add, especially the bathroom but still manageable. Also was a little tough to find a cart to bring our things to the room. Overall a great stay. Thanks

We spent a month and a half this winter. Enjoyed the view of the bay, pool and Lazy River. Although the palm trees have grown and the view is not the same as seen on the website. Still a nice view of the courtyard. The weather was unseasonably cool in January, even seeing six inches of snow. The locals loved it. We would stay at this condo complex again.

Condo not clean/ ac breakdown

The area is nice. Condo not so much. Dirty floors and sand in our bed. Ac was broke the last 3 days. Fortunately wasn’t to hot. Won’t go back.

The only negative we had was the exterior painting all month. I know it was necessary but the constant beeping and engine running from the cherry pickers was annoying.

The condo was great. Plenty of space for all of us. There were lots of towels, dishes, extra sheets/blankets, etc. The only complaint regarding the condo itself was some roaches that we saw from time to time. The property was really nice. The pools were big and clean. The hot tubs were nice. Plenty of floats for the lazy river. Having access to all of the pools was definitely nice. We had dinner one night in the grill area and my kids enjoyed the access to the bay to explore. There were several restaurants within walking distance that we enjoyed. I will say that I am sure that the property could afford to pay someone to spray down the parking lot after the garbage trucks come by. They dropped nasty water all over the parking lot every morning leaving it smelling terrible. A simple wash with a hose would surely help, or move the dumpsters! Other than that we had no complaints about our stay!

This property is amazing!! Pools, lazy river, hot tubs. Our condo was immaculate. Tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of blankets, towels and pillows. We will definitely be back!
