Lovely cabin with 100 feet of lake front on beautiful Lake Gogebic, the largest in-land lake in the U.P. Amazing lake views from the cabin, wraparound deck and firepit. New dock, jet ski lift and boat lift (3600lb capacity V-hull boats only, not suitable for pontoons) available for your use June through September. Perfect place for a family get-away!

Access ATV and snowmobile trails right from the property. Ski hills and Lake Superior within 25 miles. Lake Gogebic famous for fishing and is central to many area attractions including the Porcupine Mountains, Copper Peak, waterfalls and more! Beautiful Fall colors abound! Winter Wonderland! Ultimate Summer Vacation!

Enjoy the bald eagles as they pass over the cabin all Summer long. Catch the sunrise from the dock and experience the eagles flying overhead, swooping down to catch the early morning fish on a clear, calm lake. Hear the loons calling at night (or even during the day). We even have a couple of foxes that like to visit from time to time. Hiking, biking, waterfalls, ATV trails, world class fishing, Lake Gogebic has it all.

A great vacation for our family! Plenty of beds for a larger group; it was nice to have three twins in one room for the kids. Very well stocked kitchen with many thoughtful extras. The waterfront was great for launching our kayaks and for the kids to swim (just wear crocs or water shoes.) We found a good fishing spot nearby (Bergland Dam). It is also a short drive to the Porcupine Mountains and nice beaches in Ontonogan. The lake stayed pretty quiet and we could stargaze and watch a whole family of eagles from the dock.If I had to pick a downside it would be a wish for a fan in the bedrooms downstairs. Though, this lack seems common to many/most vacation houses in the region, and this house had a quality central air-conditioning system, so it wasn't a significant issue.Overall it was a lovely stay in a great area to really feel like you've escaped the daily grind.

Beautiful Property!

What a beautiful property! The location was excellent. Close enough to local amenities but with the remote feel we were looking for. The cabin was very well stocked, had everything we needed and more. Very relaxing and tranquil setting. Even caught a few fish right off the dock! Can't wait to stay again!

Snowmobiling Super Spot

This is a great spot right on the lake. The house has a large drive which is great for trucks and trailers.Emily was very accommodating when making the reservation and answered my questions very quickly. I’d highly recommend this property.

Beautiful with lots of amenities

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was peaceful, quiet and spacious with a very well-stocked kitchen and very up to date appliances. We enjoyed watching bald eagles flying over us from the dock!

Awesome lake house

Very nice property. Very nice people to deal with. It had the most amenities of any house we have ever stayed at. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

5/5 experience in all areas. Everything was stocked well and very clean. Tons of seating and amenities to make everyone comfortable. The pictures don't do it justice. The yard and lake are amazing and I would definitely go back

Wonderful Vacation

Our second time staying here and it is the best! Everything you need plus more. Great location for boating and atv trail riding. The hosts of this cabin are wonderful people! Can't wait to return!

Favorite Place

We have come here for several years now and always have a great time. The place is spotless, including the grill. We really love the boat lift with the remote control. The hosts are the nicest people. If you need anything, they will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. All of the appliances are top notch. Plus you are out on the lake. Excellent!

Everything...and more!

My wife and I stayed for a week to explore the area and fish Gogebic. The electric boat hoist worked great for our 17.5' deep v fishing rig. Great location between restaurants, waterfalls, and hiking trails. The cabin feels like a fully-appointed home that is in excellent condition, fully stocked, thoughtfully decorated (according to my wife), and tree lined for privacy. In addition, the owners were next-level focused on our trip, and very accommodating when we experienced vehicle problems the day before our scheduled departure.

BEST CABIN

The Deerwood Cabin is the most well appointed cabin we have ever visited. Check in was very easy, and when we swung the door open and walked inside, we could not stop smiling. The cabin was very clean, bright and roomy with comfortable furniture. The kitchen was a delight and included everything from a full drawer of knives, plenty of silverware, matching dishes and glasswear, plenty of pots and pans, umlimited bakewear, spices, and anything else you can think of. The beds were comfortable and the bedroom furniture was nice with plenty of empty drawers for our use. There was plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the showers. These hosts thought of everything for a great stay. They even provide good shampoo, creme rinse, and body wash, along with toilet paper and paper towels. We truly felt pampered. The absolute best thing about the cabin is a fabulous covered porch. We were able to sit out there and listen to the rain without getting wet. We are already counting the days until our next trip to Deerwood Cabin.

Fishing Opening Day on Lake Gogebic

Cottage was perfect for our fishing trip. A very comfortable retreat on the lake with many conveniences. Best stocked kitchen EVER with new appliances and cookware with great selection of spices and other staples. Comfy beds & pillows. Dock & boat lift were very nice and a must on the lake. Smart home with good Wi-Fi and TV. Many outside spaces to enjoy, including a large covered porch. Host Emily was very accommodating to insure our visit was successful. Definitely planning a return trip!

Perfect spot

Stayed for a long weekend to visit the Porcupine Mountains and had an amazing stay. Check in/out was easy and straightforward and we were quite comfy and had everything we needed during our stay. The extremely well-equipped kitchen was a real highlight - truly everything you need to prepare meals. Highly recommended!

UTV Trip

We loved our stay at Troy & Emily's place. The kitchen was stocked to the brim with everything we could have needed. It was very clean and laid out well. We enjoyed our evenings by the fire and playing some of the board games provided. We would recommend this place to others looking to go to that area.

This is an excellent place to stay! Clean and comfortable. So many items already there that you need. Especially in the kitchen. Sitting outside by the lake is the best bonus. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fun Fall Fishing Trip

The property is great. Good waterfront and dock. Spotless interior that is the best equipped kitchen we have ever rented, in 30+ rentals. Even the neighbors are friendly. Emily is a very good communicator and a great hostess. We'll be back.
