Perfect Getaway

If you want to wake up in the morning looking at the water, hearing the waves while seeping your coffee this is the place to go! They provide activities like bikes; fishing rods and game boards House is cute with very equipped kitchen. Host was responsive and accommodating. We had a good time!

Spectacular Thanksgiving

We stayed for our Thanksgiving this year, Wednesday-Saturday. It was splendid. The house is charming, highly comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view from the housen is breathtaking, and there is so much yard space to enjoy outdoor activities, including the swing set up right on the tree by the back porch. My kids loved the swing! So much fun. The other outside features and accessories were also great. We had a nice fire in the firepit by the water, and did smores and warm pie. Perfect on a cold November evening. My daughter and I also took the supplied bikes out for a ride around the countryside. Beautiful, and relaxing ride. I think we saw only 1 car while biking the roads. Raj is also a great host, very responsive, and went out of his way to ensure we had a great time.And we did! One of the best Thanksgivings ever. Highly recommend the property. Thanks so much , Raj!!!

Relaxing Long Weekend

We have a wonderfully relaxing long weekend with family and friends at Raj's beach house. Our kids loved playing on the beach and in the water and we enjoyed all the outdoor spaces.

Summer trip

Me and my family had the best time in the cottage.The communication with owner was excellent and view was outstanding.The field was really good for our kids to play at and the neighbors were really friendly as well! We highly recommend this cottage 💙

Great stay

The property was clean and very well stocked when we arrived. It is not the biggest but it has everything you need to enjoy the beach. We had a great time there. Owner was very responsive when we had an issue and got back to us quickly and kept us updated on the issue until it was resolved.

Perfectly charming

Our week at the Sunrise to Sunset cottage could not have been better. Raj was the very best host imaginable - responsive, thoughtful, and truly interested in making our stay wonderful. We loved the cottage. It was clean and well-appointed for every imaginable need or occasion from cooking some pretty entailed meals to occupying the kids with both high-tech and some really fun low-tech amusements like puzzles and games. Our kids loved the loft. The back porch looking out over the bay and river was made for morning coffee and evening glasses of wine. But what can’t be replicated anywhere else was the fantastic outdoor spaces this cottage offers. The spider swing in the beautiful old oak tree, the grills next to the picnic shelter, the dock, and the beaches were all amazing. I learned to paddle board on this trip and it was amazing!! We cannot wait to do this again next year! We are making the plans already!!

Serene stay on the Bay

This was a perfect place to spend a long weekend, celebrating the 40th birthday of a friend! There were 3 of us and we each comfortably had our own bed on the first level of the house. Raj was very responsive when we had an issue first getting into the house and helped us resolve it quickly so we could begin our stay. The highlight of the property to us was all the very intentional, beautiful outdoor spaces/areas. From the screened-in porch, to the two distinct fire pit areas, to the outdoor lounge setup w/ mosquito net, to the amazing tree swing -- just so many different "staged" areas to migrate amongst to enjoy your stay. Highly recommend downloading the phone app, Sky Guide, and using it on the incredible clear night skies you get here -- you can learn about the various constellations and can see SO MANY of them above the waters of the Bay and Potomac. Thank you, Raj, for the lovely stay!

Amazing Outside Area

First off, the owner of the property is amazing. Very good communication! The house was clean and well stocked with kitchen items. But lets move on to the best part, outside. The outside area is set up as an oasis. Every morning I got up and drank coffee on a swing watching the sunrise, at night we gathered as a group with cocktails and watched the sun go down. You get amazing views of both. The firepit area is lovely and perfect for a night outside. The size of the property and greenery gives you a totally private experience. They have plenty of outdoor comfortable chairs, two screened in areas with lots of room and cushioned cozy couches and chairs. We plan on coming back!

Wonderful Family Getaway

We loved everything about this cottage! It is a wonderful place to take the family to just getaway and have a great time. We caught crabs, went fishing off the dock, took my son out on the paddle board, spent hours on the swing, played in the sand and made S’mores. The place is fully stocked! We will definitely be back!

Definitely plan to return. The outdoor space and all the amenities on the property were awesome!

Labor Day Relaxation

We loved the view and proximity to the water, the swing and firepit were very popular. Very nice to have wood available. The beds, although a little small were VERY comfortable. Not too far from the store if you forget a grocery item, very well stocked kitchen! We plan to return!

Very nice

We e enjoyed it a lot. The only thing that was disappointing was the relative inaccesibility of the beach. We would have appreciated a railing that went to the bottom of the stairs. Otherwise, the outdoor space was exceptional. The indoors was very comfortable, though a few table lamps would have been useful.

Sweet Northern Neck Getaway

Our stay at this Heathsville getaway was a thoroughly enjoyable time. Being on the dock overlooking the river was great- a little too many jellyfish to wade, unfortunately, but we took advantage of the canoe. There's a screened in dining area that we used each night as well. Very clean, and the check-in couldn't have been simpler with the Ring installed.

Family Time

This property is the perfect place for enjoying the gifts of a lazy summer day. The view from the screen porch is amazing and the kids loved the swing. We enjoyed eating outside and sitting around the firepit late into the evening. The house was small but very comfortable.

Beautiful cottage with tranquil surroundings

Heathsville, VA is a small town with quaint homes tucked along the natural riverfront. The cottage was beautiful and had much to offer; fire pit, small private beach on the river with chairs/seating as needed, a dock perfect for reading or enjoying the water and animal life, a fully-equipped kitchen with great appliances, comfortable beds, clean sheets/towels. The owner accommodated us well, was responsive if any questions arose, and provided many amenities that usual VRBO hosts do not. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and are planning on coming back!

Beautiful Atay on the Potomac

Stayed with family for a long weekend. Kids loved the swing, running around the property, crabbing off the dock. Kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. Sunrise and sunset was so beautiful. The fire pit was great. Our family had the best time. Will definitely be back.

5 stars all around

What a quaint little town is Heathsville! We were totally enamored as soon as we stepped out of our cars and into 180-degree views of the expansive Potomac and Chesapeake Bay. The house is small, but more than sufficient with all the creature comforts, updated technology, new appliances. But listen, if you spend all your time indoors while at the river it's a shame. The grounds that come with this house are wide and expansive. The concrete patio has covered shaded dining and lounging areas, a firepit that seats 8 lovely adirondack chairs (which we used nightly), a wide flat grassy area with a swing and hammock (which our kiddos and adults loved), then you walk a few steps down to your own private beach and dock where we caught fish and crabs. We also saw dolphin, sharks and skate swim around us on the dock. We stayed over the 4th of July and we had nightly fireworks shows along the Virginia and Maryland riverbanks - amazing amazing amazing. We absolutely loved our stay here. Raj is a gracious host, very kind, responds quickly and even went out of his way to get us recommendations for local fresh seafood catch. Highly recommend - 5 stars all around!

Great spot tucked away for relaxing vacation

We had an excellent stay in Heathsville! Raj was an excellent and very proactive host! Check in instructions were clear, the place was spotless, and our view was incredible! The house was as described and had everything we needed for a great weekend: grilling on the back patio, paddle boarding and fishing from the dock! We enjoyed the screened back porch and fire pit as well! What a great property and great host!

Dream vacation home with everything you will need to make it a memorable experience

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautifully kept home. It has its own private beach and a pier which made everything so much more luxurious. The house was equipped with everything you would need to make your stay memorable. Owner was super nice and responsive. A fully equipped kitchen, clean bedrooms, super clean bathrooms, washer dryer and many more amenities. The view from the screened porch and the entire from yard is just breathtaking. We were lucky to spot dolphins right from the porch on multiple mornings. The gazebo outside and the campfire place next to it is just beyond description. You could actually spend an entire evening there relaxing and watching the bay. We were 4 kids and 4 adults and each of us had a super awesome time staying at this place. Definitely looking forward to return back for another getaway at this place. Cheers 👍

Unique waterfront / beach front property, just 2.5 hours drive from DC. You feel relaxed just driving to this place. It offers free swimming, canoeing, standup paddle boarding, fishing, biking and waterfront lounging right on site. Since it is flowing water, there is no green algae. Both sunrise and sunset views offer a unique photographic opportunity! It is almost like a "mini resort" offering million dollar views and memories!
