Summer fun and making memories.

Nestled in the Manistee National Forest, this lake house has a lot to offer. Located on a 180 acre all sport lake, with sunset views from 2 awesome decks, featuring an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, dining and sunning area, with a corn hole court all overlooking the lake. There is a yard to play in and a little secret garden to sit and enjoy the view or read a good book. The house is newly remodeled top to bottom, keeping some of the original as a nod to it’s past. The lower deck provides lots of seating and lounging area from the walk out basement. The upper deck is a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee watching the loons, or an evening sunset with a glass of wine. There are stairs to the lakeshore with a great dock and sunning deck to lounge, swim, or fish off from. There is a convenient outdoor shower located on the lower deck to rinse off after a swim. This is a great place to enjoy with family and friends, swimming, playing, fire pit, wood provided. Short drives away are Ludington, Pentwater, the Silver Lake Sand dunes with all they have to offer on Lake Michigan. There are also trails to explore all over Manistee National Forest. A little of something for everyone

It was such a lovely space and there was so much room sit and enjoy our moments together. Having Kayaks and paddleboards there was wonderful as well. We all loved our stay here and it was definitely a 10/10 kind of place.

Craig was very pleasant to deal with. The property was beautiful, comfortable and everything was at your finger tips. Kayaks and paddle boards were available, several choices of outdoor seating for relaxation and to enjoy the lake with beautiful sunsets. Excellent vacation, fun was had by all.

Perfect family get away spot

This is a wonderful property - one of the best Vrbo rentals we have stayed in. It is super clean, well-stocked, and has a beautiful view of the lake. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are clean and updated, and the kitchen has all the essentials needed. Our family loved kayaking and stand up paddle boarding in the lake as well as fishing off the dock and paddle boards. The porch areas have lots of places to sit and the fire pit area also includes grills and more places to eat and sit. Wonderful host. Hope to stay here again!

Great Week

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage was perfect. It was well equipped, cute and clean. The lake was nice and quiet, not too busy at all. Already planning our next family visit!

Amazing Hosts

This is one of the most well stocked vacation homes we have rented. Everything was labeled and easy to find. The multiple outdoor living places made it easy to find a place to relax alone or in smaller groups. We would rent this home again.

Relaxing getaway.

This property had all the comforts of home plus. Watercraft is provided as well as all the firewood we could want. There was never a time when we wanted for anything. Thanks to Craig and his wife for providing the perfect retreat for our family.

Family Vacation

The property was great with all the amenities needed plus lots of extras provided by the owner. We were even welcomed with fresh flowers and s’more ingredients. The outdoor kitchen area was another added bonus plus the fishing from the dock was good for all. Overall a great place to stay with easy to Pentwater and Ludington.

This is a wonderful, well-kept house! Thanks, Craig, for such a terrific stay. Loved the easy lake access/kayaks/paddle boards, and the multiple areas for deck seating and enjoying the view. All the amenities and small touches -- especially the kitchen and bathroom supplies -- were really the frosting on the cake.

Fun place to stay

This was a great place to stay. Beds and baths good. Upstairs and downstairs living spaces. Great fishing from dock. Kayaks and paddleboards. Scenic lake. Nice entry area to the lake. Very large decks and patio for entertaining, grilling, and relaxing. Out in the country a bit but still close enough to several towns to take care of food and beaching at the big lake. Would definitely come again.

Wonderful Spot in NW Michigan

My friends and I were looking for a place to stay for our disc golf weekend getaway in NW Michigan and we could not have found a better spot! Craig and Lori are very friendly and were very accommodating to our group. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed and then some. The scenery is very beautiful and the lake was absolutely perfect for the hot, humid summer days. If I happen to find my way around the area while traveling in the future and need a place to stay, I would definitely stay here again!

Beyond expectations!!!!!

Craig is the best host! The house is very clean and stunning! My kids really loved it! Everything that you need is inside the house . I think the only thing that needs to be done is improving the lake and Craig motioned it! Overall is good!!!

Fishing Weekend

Craig and Lori were great hosts. They thought of everything and we enjoyed our stay very much! This house is the perfect set up for kids and parents as the kids can sleep and play downstairs and the adults can hang out upstairs and have their own space. The patio/grill area is awesome. We enjoyed fires every night and we were very comfortable. We love to fish - especially bass - and the lake did not disappoint! We had 3 generations fishing together. We use VRBO often and this has been one of our favorite rentals!

Great Family Reunion location

So much thought has gone into setting up this cottage for guests. The design of the outdoor decks has several ways to relax, enjoy a meal, or have fun. The kitchen is very well equipped with most everything one needs for cooking and serving. Little touches of decor and amenities made our stay quite delightful. Craig was very accommodating to our needs, as my relatives arrived before I did. Craig met them at the cottage for the orientation tour. His communication was good, and he checked to see that everything was going well. I would highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing getaway or family gathering.

Family time

This is easily the best Vrbo property we have rented - absolutely top-notch accommodation for our family of 5. It is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout, with a well-stocked kitchen, including complete sets of dishes, glasses, wine glasses, cookware, good knives - very impressive. The linens and towels were of good quality and plentiful, and the beds were all comfortable. The lakeside setting was wonderful, with lovely decks and deck furniture to sit, relax, and enjoy the views. Our family made good use of the 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards, as well as the great patio with the cornhole, firepit, and grill. The dock is in great condition. The hosts, Craig and Lori, were excellent in every way - great communication; they greeted us upon check-in and gave us a thorough tour of the house and patio, explaining all of the features. We also enjoyed a few day trips to Ludington, Pentwater and Hart. We had such a great week here and would love to come back.

Top Notch!

I can’t say one bad thing about this property! The attention to detail by the owners was mind blowing. I’ve rented a lot of houses and always plan to bring EVERYTHING, it was definitely not needed here, from Q-Tips, makeup remover wipes, stuff for s’mores on the table, hot cocoa…they literally thought of everything and that’s just on the inside! The outside is a whole different experience! The time and money put into this property is amazing. The decks, the string lights on timers, permanent corn hole boards, fire pit and multiple grills! I just wish we could have stayed longer. Absolutely wonderful place to stay and the owner had no problem with me texting and asking things about where to eat, shop and sight see! We will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much for a great weekend

The Lake House

The Personal Touch with every amenity you could ever need. My first VRBO and Craig did not disappoint. We are already planning on coming back next summer for an even longer stay. Bring your kids to this wonderful families lake house. Bring your food and you won’t need another thing. You could bring your own boat or jet ski as well. The have an ample driveway with extra room as well. Boat dock is at end of road and a place to dock it. Swimming off the boat dock is pleasant. The water was clear but diving isn’t allowed. Kayaks were the huge hit. My grandsons had never used one…. within 5 mins they were on their own….after some pointers from Cubbie they were Pros and even though their little 8 year old arms can’t go flatout…. they were surprisingly quick for short bursts. Life preservers for all sizes as well. The Bar B Q picnic area is a cookout dream. Plenty of room for your group. The atmosphere was very quiet and if your lucky like we were you will be blessed with a clear night. Campfires were a breeze because they have done all the legwork from kindling to smalls and then the bigger pieces…. so easy to let the kids get involved and pitch in. You could look for another ONE….but let me save you the trouble. Stop looking and trust the reviews before me as well. You will not be disappointed and you will planning on returning. :)) Thank you again Craig and Jackie!!!

A beautiful lake house with incredible hosts. Exceeded expectations.

Went to the property with a group of friends intending on fishing in a nearby town. We were all blown away with how incredible the rental is. We all only wished we could’ve spent more time enjoying the property. All the essentials are provided and more. Couldn’t say enough about the place and looking forward to coming back.

Great accommodations for family vacation!

We are a family of 5 (3 sons aged 20-25) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oceana County property. The interior has been updated and is very nice--there were thoughtful touches that really helped us to feel welcome and comfortable (kitchen supplies available, s'more supplies for use, plenty of towels, both inside and beach, just to name a few). Wi-fi was great and enabled a couple of us to work as needed throughout the week. The outdoor areas, deck as well as patio with bean bags, were top notch. The kayaks and paddle boards were great and enabled us to enjoy our time on the water. We enjoyed the amazing sunsets from the deck while eating dinner. Craig was very thoughtful and checked in on us to be sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay! Highly recommend for a family vacation!

Family getaway 2022

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the property and all it had to offer. The outdoor decks offered beautiful views and comfortable seating for us to enjoy our meals. The property came equipped with plenty of games and outdoor activities for our children to enjoy. We enjoyed our time we get on the lake with the kayaks and paddle boards that were provided. If you are looking for a fun place for your family look no further. Thanks to the owners for sharing their place with our family.
