Tranquil Waterfront Cottage on Lake Rousseau , 3bdrm

Offering a beautiful and tranquil experience, this lakefront cottage is located directly on Lake Rousseau known for it's exemplary largemouth bass fishing. This quaint cottage comfortably sleeps 6 guests in a spacious master with king bed, two other bedrooms (queen and two twins) and also boasts two full bathrooms. The living area is bright and full of windows facing the lake and the kitchen is well stocked for enjoying a home cooked meal. The spacious back deck provides unobstructed views of the lakefront splendor.

Enjoy boating and fishing on the lake and up the tributary Withlacoochee and Rainbow Rivers that feed the lake. The Inglis Recreation Area is located approximately 1 mile from the property for easy and free launching of your watercraft. After launching, feel free to tie up at our private pier/dock. Lake Rousseau is know for an abundance of wildlife including a large variety of wading birds, beautiful Sand Hill cranes, Osprey, Bald Eagles, tons of fish and of course alligators (which makes it not ideal for swimming) :)

Please note: the boat on the property is strictly ornamental and not for guest use.

Great Stay

We loved staying here. The house was clean and was conveniently located to Three Sisters. The hosts were wonderful and very quick to respond to any questions we had.

Had a wonderful time , such a relaxing atmosphere, clean and comfortable,the fire pit by the lake was a great addition, the property owners were very responsive and were willing to accommodate our change in schedule, , we all really enjoyed ourselves , could use some updates and repairs as well as an adjustment to temperature control due to humidity and more frequent changing of the ac filter , all and all we were happy with our stay and would definitely consider staying again!

We had a very relaxing stay. The river view, sunsets, and bird watching was amazing. We visited two state parks nearby to see more of Crystal River. Our hosts were accommodating, friendly, and A on communication. The house was roomy and comfortable with a functional and large kitchen which made Thanksgiving dinner prep doable! Not much to say about any cons other than a difficult time regulating the thermostat. Cold first night and too warm the second - but don’t let that deter you. If you are looking for a low key get away with amazing views, this is the place!

Best Sunset ever

The view in the back yard was amazing. The best sunset I have seen. Better than Key West. The house was clean and convenient we enjoyed our stay.

Fishing Trip

Overall the stay was good, property was clean, everything was as listed in the description, no issues or concerns whatsoever. The owners were pleasant to deal with and replied to questions timely. We were there for a fishing trip and the property was perfect for us.

The view is breathtaking. Gorgeous sunsets most nights we were there. We enjoyed our time in the area. Beds were comfortable. If you need internet it is spotty at best. We missed alot of the football play off games due to this.

GREAT NEWS! We finally have NEW Spectrum fiber optic high speed internet which is the fastest around and we have no issues anymore with tv/computer streaming. We're so happy you enjoyed your stay, and yes the sunsets are the best around!

Fishing

The place is in a perfect spot for fishing. The dock is nice the only thing that I could say is all of the vegetation in the water but for the place itself it was very clean and very nice.

Peaceful place with a great view!

Close to Crystal River shopping, the Rainbow and swim with the Manatees. Very nice neighborhood of homes on a peaceful lake. You can fish about a mile at the resevoir. Nice covered docks. We enjoyed cooking out by the lake and sitting out on the patio sipping coffee early in the morning.

Some short comings: mstbdrm, only 1 night stand, had to read by flashllight, had to supply bateries for the fan controls and thermostat, mastr shower plumbed backwards (was confusing) , frig door handle about to fall off. frig upper shelf (held in place by tape) fell . had to buy our own trash bags,

We are glad you enjoyed most of your stay and appreciate your notes. We live in the immediate area and would have been happy to come over to resupply any items or provide batteries had we been notified about these concerns. Especially since we were already at the property for some other items per your request. The fridge handle has been fixed with a small screw and thank you for the recommendation on the bedroom lighting as we've not heard this from any guests in the past 4 years but will consider adding a small light to the nightstand. We hope none of these minor inconveniences were a distraction from the amazing sunset views and we're happy to have you back in the future.

Lake Trip

We had a wonderful time at this nice lake house. We took our bass boat and had a great time on the lake. Our truck broke down on the road out front between the boat ramp and the house. This gave us an opportunity to meet the many neighbors that stopped to see if we needed help. They were all super nice. On man, "Dickey" even broke out his strap and pulled us to the park so we could wait for our mechanic away from the road. The boat ramp is just a hop and skip from the house and is quite easy to launch from. The lake is a flooded plane and is full of stumps, making it excellent for fishing. The channel is very well marked so you can cover the entire lake by motor, then just switch to trolling motor when you come out of the channel. We had a great time. In the mornings, there is a little fox that hangs out in the backyard. While we were there, we got to see here little ones too. So cool. Love this place and am hopeful to return another time.

Surprise bday party for wife's 56th bday

Great location

We came to Crystal Springs to swim with the manatee and enjoy some of the state parks nearby. This property was right in the middle of where we wanted to visit. My grandchildren wanted to fish off the dock but the water is too full or algae and small alligators. We also wanted to grill, unfortunately the leg on the grill is broken and made using very difficult. We did enjoy our stay.

We're sorry to hear that the grill was broken by a previous guest and have since replaced it with a nice new grill! We love the natural environment and wildlife in the lake and also suggest fishing from the recreation area by the dam about a mile from the house.

Great for people who enjoy nature

The property is on a large lake known for bass fishing. The house is pretty basic. Great for fishing buddies but my grandkids loved it. They chased lizards and watched small gators from the dock. About a 20 minute commute into the town of Crystal River. Overall we enjoyed it
