Lodge style cabin nestled in a 2 acre forest directly on Sir Sam's Ski & Bike. Enjoy the ease of ski-in/ski-out, snow shoeing, hiking or biking right from the beautiful deck which over looks an 8-person hot tub, 20' sauna and a unique firepit. In the summer take a short walk to Eagle Lake public beach and boat launch for fishing/swimming. Endless adventures near by like the Haliburton Forest, dog sledding, wolf center and so much more!

This tranquil lodge has all the Haliburton charm! Starting on the main floor where you will find an open concept entertaining space surrounded by windows where you can enjoy

On the main floor you will find an open concept entertaining space surrounded by windows and natural light. Watch the skiers go right by as you enjoy your morning coffee!

The main floor master bedroom has a small nursery and home office area built right in. It is also directly across from the main floor 4-piece washroom. Upstairs there are two additional bedroom and a second 4-piece washroom. Bedroom #2 has a double bed.
Bedroom #3 has a log style single over double bunk bed plus a single bed,
Bedroom #4 is located in the basement and has a queen bed.

The lower level also has a 2nd living room with a double pull out bed for extra sleep space. This lounge area has a TV, gaming system, dart board, vintage arcade, ping pong table and air hockey table!

Entertainment access: Amazon Fire Stick with access to Netflix, Disney Plus, Prime, Spotify, You-Tube. X-Box One with plenty of games. Large selection of DVD's. Newly upgraded WIFI (25 mbps)

Winter staycation

Feeding the deer was a highlight. Nice to snowboard right into the property. Relax and unwind with a sauna and hot rub after a day on the hill.

The best ski in/out experience

This is our third visit, and it did not disappoint. This property is on the slopes! It’s a perfect spot to enjoy skiing and breaks for lunch, hot tubbing, a beverage ;) The cottage has incredible amenities but we truly spent so much outdoors. The hot tube is basically at the ends of the ski hill so even when soaking you’re part of the action. Kids loved the playground and we felt very comfortable letting them explore

Reconnecting with nature

I had hard time finding the place as I was coming from the opposite end of eagle lake and that area had no cell service. After an hour of driving around my colleagues were able to find our car and escort us to the property. The pictures don't do justice, the property is alot bigger than it appears in the photo. It was very clean, cozy and you will feel that classic wood log made cottage feel. It was nice that the host had fire wood for us to use, the extra bedroom being finished in the basement to accomendate others. We were a group of 7 and no one slept on the couch-everyone had their own sharing rooms. The entertainment available (ex. Table tennis, air hockey, darts, video games, DVD, and Xbox) was nice for those who wanted to stay in while others went to the beach. The beach is a very short drive, making it convenient and one wouldn't mind selecting a place that isn't a water front. Being surrounded by all the nature in a quiet place away from busy roads we saw two deer in the yard :) Would definitely recommend and will return in the future

Great property, lots to do for all ages on site, nice beach less than a 5 minute drive away. Peter was an unbelievable host, responding quickly to the few things we needed. We definitely plan to return.

A family getaway

Really enjoyed our stay here. It was a wonderful break for our family. In the awkward weather between spring and summer there were things to keep busy with both inside and out.

Hidden Gem on the Hills

I cannot say enough great things about our stay! If you are into skiing/snowboarding the lodge sits right on Sir Sam’s ski hill. The lodge is very spacious with a rustic chalet style. The basement is the perfect t space for the kids with ping pong & air hockey tables and a gaming system. Wish we booked a longer stay. We will definitely be returning.

Great Stay

Walking into the lodge was impressive and lots of space to explore. We loved the view of Dingle Run and enjoyed watching the skiers, right from the couch, almost as much as skiing. Loved, skiing down the green hill, right to the lift (would be a bit of a hike for a novice skier to get to the chalet and the bunny hill) but the convenience of skiing right out the door is great. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and this property would be great with little ones - cribs, cots are all there. Played some good games of ping pong, air hockey and enjoyed cards around the kitchen table. Great firepit adjacent to a little ski jump was a fun place to sit to watch the stunts. Kitchen was cottage friendly and pretty serviceable. Skiing on the Dingle doesn't t really get going until 10:30 and then ends at 4, and really quiet after that. Hiking up the hill a bit at night and looking back at lodge - prettiest lodge on the hill. Points to note - Probably not the best property for those who struggle with mobility, although that's probably most ski areas in the Winter. Walks and stairs were very icy due to thaw/freeze and we had to be careful going up the stairs. Almost didn't make it up the hill to the lodge even with 4 wheel drive the one night. Two vehicles in the ditch so having 4 wheel drive is an asset at times. Also, Sir Sams is very family oriented and there were lots of little ones skiing and very few young adults. That's good for some, and not for others - neutral factor for us.

Peter's place is fantastic - lots of space, amenities, and great location, and Peter was very easy to contact for any questions. Highly recommend - and we hope to be back!

Fantastic Getaway!!

My group and I were highly impressed with this cozy cottage. Not only did it exceed our expectations with the extensive amenities such as the hot tub and games room, but the host was easy to communicate with and responded fast to our inquiries. Overall the cottage was beautiful, clean and we would definitely go back in the future!!

Forest Hideaway

Large, well maintained, and well equipped cabin ideally situated right beside one of the trails at Sir Sam's ski hill. Lots of nice amenities, hot tub, huge fire pit, games room and a beautiful forest setting right on top of hiking trails. There is a nearby beach at Eagle lake and a grocery store. The house is well maintained, clean and comfortable. High recommend!

my name is peter, married man with 3 kids. We bought this chalet so we can enjoy it and share it with others with similar interest. Picture in the storey is top of the hill view. Beautiful spot for lunch or picnic.
