Stunning Newly Renovated Historic Loft in Trendy Gastown


Koret Lofts is a converted 1906 heritage warehouse building in the trendy Gastown neighbourhood of Vancouver.

One of only 9 Penthouse units in the building, this loft combines the openness and volume of a true historic loft, with the privacy of two demised bedrooms. It features its own patio with high top seating and a gas grill, as well as a private rooftop deck, with custom teak seating area and fire table, and incredible views of downtown Vancouver, Burrard Inlet and the North Shore mountains.

Completely renovated in 2021, this two bedroom, one and one half bathroom unit is approximately 1,500 sq. ft. with 14 foot ceilings, and high end finishes throughout.

Parking is readily available immediately across the street at Easypark on Cordova. The neighbourhood provides most needed amenities - including a grocery store and many restaurants and bars - all within easy walking distance. Our listing is compliant with City of Vancouver short term bylaws and Province of BC short term rental restrictions.

My husband, two young adult daughters and I made Kerri & John's loft our home base for a break from the Arizona heat. The loft is one of the nicest rental properties we have stayed in for a number of reasons. Kerri & John are extremely responsive and helpful. The location of loft is situated in the heart of Gastown with so much within walking distance. The loft itself is a unique and refreshing style of living. We enjoyed the views from inside, the outside patio and the rooftop deck. The loft was appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We wish we could have stayed longer to just relax in the loft but with so much to see and do in Vancouver and surrounds, we will have to make a longer stay next time!

We loved everything about this loft. Communication, cleanliness---all as listed. Would be very comfortable for two couples or a family with a well stocked kitchen. Cocktails and coffee on the roof deck only added to this listing's charm to enjoy the city lights or the water view to watch ships and planes. Walk out the front gate, take a right and then a right at the end of the block, walk another block and enjoy the Gastown district. So many good food and drink options will be on Water Street--Local Eatery (with Guilt & Co next door for entertainment),and Waffleland Cafe are worth a visit. Vancouver is delightful and our stay at this loft only made it all that much more memorable.

We were so close to everything we needed. Just take a right out of the gate and endless food and shopping await. My husband loved the choice of decor(beastie boys) and my favorite was the fireplace. Clean, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed. We appreciate the prompt communication with the hosts. Thanks for sharing your space.

We are an Ontario couple who rented the Koret loft, while we visited our Vancouver family. The loft is as pictured, clean, quiet, well decorated, and spacious. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the AC appreciated and the WiFi and TV worked well. We loved the walk in shower! Kerri and John communicated quickly, answering our many questions before we arrived and checked in with us upon arrival to make sure we understood access instructions. We felt safe walking to Gastown and Nester’s, the local grocery store. There are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Ubers and taxis were easy to get. Highly recommend.

A wonderful urban retreat!

We loved staying here and Kerri was a wonderful host! The place is clean, modern, and spacious, with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, fabulous shower, and fantastic floor-to-ceiling windows. The apartment feels very safe, with locked patio entry, locked front entrance, and key to use the elevator. The roof patio with great views of the city, harbor, and mountains was a special treat! Easy access to buses, trains, and ferries from this location. We do have to acknowledge that the fentanyl problem in the area (East Downtown and Gastown) means you will encounter many drug users on the street. They did not seem interested in interacting with us, but it can be distressing. We did not notice this in other areas of the city.

Amazing experience with wonderful hosts

We set up camp at this stunning loft in Gastown and loved every minute of it. The home was filled with light, the beds were super comfortable, it was clean and perfectly located for our stay. The hosts were gracious and quick to reply to our questions and offering recommendations. Everything we needed was within walking distance.The roof top was perfect for sunsets and to watch the seaplanes. I highly recommend this property..

Great, well appointed loft

Our stay was great! The loft was clean, and nicely decorated. It was a short walk to many restaurants. We came for the Taylor Swift concert and it was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

Super place, with great communication with hosts. A real treat to have fire pit on private roof top patio . While could have been considered a Vancouver area of concern due proximity of encampment, there was no concern whatsoever with both building security and all the walking we did to Coal Harbour, Canada Place and even to and through Stanley Park. Would definitely stay again !!

Comfortable launching point

Our stay was highlighted with delight when we walked in and were greeted with floor to ceiling windows and a roof top fire pit with 360 views of Vancouver. The kitchen was perfect for group meals with everyone standing around the huge island. We all slept comfortably and woke ready for the next days adventure exploring Vancouver. We grilled outside, watched the bay action and enjoyed the homey feeling staying here. Our interactions with the host were all quickly answered and they accommodated our “cruise ship” schedule - five stars all the way.

City Centre Chill

Fantastic well appointed apartment with really helpful and informative hosts 2 mins walk from Water Street, and 10 mins walk from (main) Waterfront Station and another 2 to Canada Place. Great Restaurants and interesting shops nearby.

Amazing stay at the Loft!

Our stay at the loft was incredible! Absolutely beautiful condo. Large, open and airy with a great rooftop patio and fire pit. We enjoyed sitting up there and seeing the mountains, ocean and cruise ships. The loft was beautifully decorated and included everything needed for the stay (e.g., coffee, oil, spices, etc.) Communication with the hosts was very prompt and friendly. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Vancouver!

Beautiful, comfortable, walkable

This was our favorite Vrbo on a 2.5 week trip up the west coast. The place is beautiful, just like the pictures. Clean. Beds were comfortable. We walked everywhere to eat easily. We are looking forward to going back again.

Enjoyable with a few caveats.

We had a fantastic experience in this downtown loft. The view was lovely through an entire wall of windows and the rooftop deck with fire pit was great to enjoy with a glass of wine or bourbon at the end of the day. While we loved being in Gastown and near so many unique businesses, we didn't expect the amount of unsheltered people in this area actively engaging in drug use. Also, while the townhouse was relatively clean, at this price point more attention should be paid to dusting and floor corners throughout the space. The beds were extremely comfortable and the provision of a quality bluetooth speaker was a wonderful perk.

Stunning Loft

This loft is stunning. Clean lines, decorated nicely, open yet still cozy while sitting in front of the fire or the TV. The views from the roof are wonderful. The hosts, Kerri and John, have made the check-in process easy and they were both quick to respond with questions. * I would suggest trying to find street parking versus using the EasyPark lot if you can.

Great Loft

The loft was just like in the pictures, very clean and comfortable. If the weather was better we would have made use of the roof top patio, it has a great fire table and a nice view of the water.
