Welcome to the 'The Silver Lake Retreat'. Adventure awaits........

This newly updated retreat sits of the end of a canal on Upper Silver Lake (Private). We have a double wooded lot with a circle driveway. Very private and peaceful setting. There is plenty of parking space, so bring your sand toys and trailers, boat, kayak's, jet-skis. We also have accommodations for RV hook-up (water and sewer).

Only 2 short miles to Silver Lake State Park, were you can have fun on the sand dunes, access to Silver Lake and beautiful Lake Michigan. Bring your golf clubs because the Golden Sands Golf Course is just a stone's throw away from the house. Dune Town is 2 miles away with shops, restaurants and family entertainment.

We're excited for you to see all the updates to this 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. Fresh paint and new flooring throughout, remodeled kitchen and main bathroom. There is a full size washer and dryer. The home sleeps 8, with two Queen beds, Bunk beds and a Queen Air mattress. All mattresses are brand new.

In the evening, sit back and relax on the large deck or patio with fire pit. Make dinner at the grilling station. Spend time in the 3 seasons room overlooking the great views of the lake

The house was clean, bathrooms clean with nice bath towels, and the kitchen had all the essential kitchen amenities needed. The check in process was easy, the property owners communicated with me prior to check in and provided all information needed. The biggest dissappointment was that lake access was down a flight of steep deck stairs. The posted photo led us to believe that lake access was a gentle slope down the backyard and that was not the case. Overall, we were satisfied with the stay, the location was close to all the activities we were doing and the neighborhood was quiet.

Super easy check-in, clean and comfortable for our group. So nice being able to bring our 2 lil pups along too! Kitchen had everything you’d need and a dishwasher! Beautiful beaches nearby, dune rides and awesome sunsets.

Great place to stay for our family! The cleanliness and stocked supplies of the house, location (quiet and yet close to the beach and dunes), and prompt communications made the vacation just that. The binder and brochures within the house gave insights into other resources and activities to do in the nearby area as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Absolutely amazing! We were so relieved to find a place that could accommodate our pup so that we could bring her with us on our vacation. The check-in/out process was extremely easy and the hosts were very responsive to all communication. The pictures online were great, but the house was even more beautiful once we arrived. The neighborhood was very quiet and perfect for a peaceful, relaxing weekend away. We would absolutely book here again and highly recommend this place to anyone, especially those looking to travel with pets.

Nice little house

Overall we had a good stay. The house is at a good location with easy access to the dunes. There is plenty of room for multiple vehicles. The kitchen is well equipped and overall the house was clean. We enjoyed the fire pit and outside seating. The house technically sleeps 7, we had 8 people including 4 kids (there is an air mattress which fits in the sunroom) so it ended up being slightly cramped for us.

Lovely home in beautiful area!

Sherry was super helpful and responsive, and the home is so lovely and quiet. And so many fun things to do nearby! The dunes, swimming, hiking. Lovely. The only suggestions I'd offer is that guests should be provided with a few more amenities so they don't have to pack little used items like butter, cooking oil, herbs and spices, ketchup and mustard, etc. Also it would be helpful to provide more than two each of laundry and dishwasher pods and dishwasher, and extra rolls of toilet paper. Finally, curtains in the bedrooms would do a lot to cut the light. We had two kids with us and trying to get them to go to sleep while light was coming in the window was difficult. All in all though, we had an absolutely delightful time in a very comfortable home with many nearby attractions. Thank you!

Nice stay

We really enjoyed the house but there were a few upgrades/repairs that could be made. The house does not have an address number that’s easily visible so we weren’t sure if we were at the right home at first. The house looks like it’s been remodeled, which looks great but things such as the trash can being broken, the windows not opening, ceiling fan not working, the stovetop not working well among other small things were a bit of an annoyance. Other than that, it’s a cozy house to stay in and are thankful to the owners for opening their home to us.

Excellent location

We spent 2 days and nights , the house suited our group perfectly. There is plenty of yard for dogs to run.Good view of the lake. Only 4 minutes to the dunes or town. We would stay here again and recommend to others.

Short trip to the dunes

Everything about our stay was perfect! The house was spacious and spotless, stocked with everything we needed, the beds were more comfy than home, and the view was absolutely gorgeous. Would stay again 100%!

Perfect Little Retreat

This was a perfect place to just get away for a few days! The house was clean and had everything we needed and was just right for the 6 of us! Owners were very easy to work with and answered our questions in a timely manner! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone!

The owners responded to our concerns very quickly. There was an issue with the heat but they were able to get maintenance out to repair the issue quickly. For sure would rent again

Great location for all the area has to offer.

The hosts for this property were very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed being on a private drive with minimal traffic and a nice view of the lake. The house has nice accommodations; comfy beds and a nice living room. We were not able to take advantage of the nice outdoor space due to the temperatures, but it would be lovely in the summer. The access to the lake was disappointing. We did not even attempt to try to carry our kayaks down the narrow stairway as the dock was surrounded by scummy, stagnant water. Luckily there were plenty of other areas that had easy public access. The driveway was very accommodating for our trailer and truck, the half moon shape made it very nice for maneuvering.

The property was nice and close to everything the owners were very helpful a little tight to dock water craft though silver lake is a very fun place to visit
