Tour of the vacation rental upon arrival and departure with the property owner
Want to get away from it all and explore our beautiful Central France? Stop here, in the Creuse department, specifically in the town of Nouzerines, at a place called Les Ansannes, right in the countryside, in a truly special setting. I can tell you all about it because 1) I know this hamlet very well, having lived in the one right next door for several years, and 2) Gilles Vernaudon and Françoise Vernaudon were wonderful friends throughout that period of my life. They even knew my kids when they were little 😃. Creuse is a magnificent region, bordering several departments rich in natural, architectural, and cultural heritage. I highly encourage you to visit—you won’t regret it!
You can discover the Aubusson Tapestry, a treasure of our heritage, thanks to Françoise Vernaudon, a weaver by trade and passion🔥, the mysterious Pierres Jaumâtres in Toulx Sainte-Croix and its incredible panoramic view, the Berry region, the village of Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre—an iconic village where Jacques Tati filmed his famous “Jour de fête”—, Nohant (where you can visit George Sand’s house), Bourges and its majestic cathedral, the Bourbonnais region and the Tronçais Forest… and so many other wonderful things! See you soon :-)
