Oso Comfortable Cottage ("OCC"), designed by former owners Clint & Kelly Harp, comfortably sleeps 6 with 3 Bedrooms/2 Baths, and a queen sleeper sofa. Great for couples, families, & friends. Open design living/dining area and the perfect kitchen. Large backyard with 3 parking places and basketball goal. Next door to Harp Design Co. and the Harp house. OCC is 5 minutes from Magnolia/Downtown Waco! 10 minutes from Baylor University/Ferrell Center/McLane Stadium.

Comfy and close to downtown

This was probably the most stylish rental property I've ever stayed in. Nice location for central Waco. We had two small kiddos with us, and the property suited our needs really well. The owner was quick to respond with any questions. We would definitely stay there again.

Stylish, Comfortable, Convenient

We loved our stay here. The house is very comfortable, with room to spread out and good linens. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking. Very clean place with lovely decor. A few minutes from downtown and a few more to Baylor. Thank you!

Great, fun, clean place to stay

This was a great place for our family of 4 to stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equiped with what we needed. The house was fenced with an automatic gate - which was nice to enter and exit the house. Will was very easy to communicate with. The house is located close to everything we wanted to see in Waco.

A shirt get-away

This property was perfect for us! The size was just right for 4 adults (would do just fine for up to 6 or so). They had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and bathrooms. With the exception of road construction (which won’t last forever) getting around was easy. This charming property was very clean and our communication with the owners was flawless. Would highly recommend and if the opportunity comes upon us we would certainly rent it again!

Well-appointed and very clean house

My husband and I spent our Thanksgiving holiday at the Oso Cottage. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. The owners have thought of everything. I cooked a meal in the kitchen and I was able to find all of the tools I needed. The bathrooms are clean and stocked with the basics. The primary bedroom is spacious and the bed was so comfy! Check-in and check-out was super easy. And the house is two doors down from the Harp Designs shop!

Great house, poor location, rent with caution!

This is a beautifully restored house close to Harp Design. The inside is furnished with Harp furniture. Sadly, the house is located in a run down part of down. Across the street is a large house occupied by a loud group of men. The house across the side street has someone dealing drugs (yes, we saw it happening and notified the police!) We wondered about the high security features of the house (automatic fence gate, house alarm, etc) and now understand why. The owner is new to VRBO and it shows. We didn’t receive information on the location of the house or check in/check out procedures until 2 days before arrival and I had to ask for them. My guess is that the security codes are not being changed after each guest as the house lockbox and gate code are the same. When we arrived, there was a damp towel hanging in the bathroom and the tub was wet, as if someone had recently showered. No towels were readily evident but we found some in a closet. There were a few other minor things that we didn’t feel needed reporting. We’ve rented many times before so we don’t sweat the small stuff. We enjoyed our time in Waco and at the end of our visit we followed the check out procedure. Several hours after leaving, I was notified by Will that I was being charged an extra $100 for damages. He claims the cleaning crew found something sticky on the floor and wall in the master bedroom. He also said the crew found pet hair in the bathroom. #1 we only had bottled water in the bedroom. #2. I am highly allergic to pets and so is my sister who stayed with us. We do not even own pets! I asked for proof of damages and was told he had no photos, only the statement of the cleaning crew. Again, this is a great house, beautifully decorated and well restored. But I would not trust the location if I had children.

One night stay

We had just a one night stay in Waco to visit our son. It’s not a far drive from Houston so we decided to bring out dog. The home owners were fantastic to deal with and the accommodations were outstanding.

Beautiful cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at OSO Comfortable Cottage. We came in town for a Baylor football game and to explore the Fixer Upper world. We chose this rental because of the tie to The Harps and Harp Design. It was fun being so close to Harp Design. The home is beautiful and comes stocked with all the necessary essentials. Our extended family with 3 couples and 2 babies fit comfortably. Because of some other reviews I had read I was worried about the safety of the area. We felt totally safe and secure. We were close to everything and really enjoyed our time. Our only problem was with the music coming from one of the neighbors who liked to work on his vehicles and play loud music until 4:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. This disturbed the sleep on those staying in the front bedroom. We solved it with earplugs and a sound machine. Thanks for the wonderful weekend getaway!
