The Knoll Top--3 mins away from Hills Creek State Park

The Knoll Top is an 11.37 acre private retreat, centrally nestled in the Hills Creek area of Tioga County, Pennsylvania. It serves as a base for tourists eager to explore the Endless Mountains and Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, as well as the charming cities of Wellsboro, Corning and the greater Finger Lakes Region of New York state.

Our house is located on top of the hill. You can see the whole valley if you sit on the porch, that's my favorite place.

The Knoll Top has 3 bed rooms each room has it's own bathroom, in our master suite you can enjoy in a 150 gallon Jacuzzi garden tub. In addition to the large cedar porch and deck with astounding valley and mountain views, there is also a sizable stone fire pit around which to converse or have a good ol'fashined clam bake. Have an RV, trailer or boat? No problem. The extra large private driveway and cul de sac provide ample parking for all of your outdoor toys.

Owner is on the other side of property for your convenience.

Incredible Views

The house is Very Roomy, Comfortable, Very Clean and Well maintained. The Location is Perfect. The Views are Incredible. Close to restaurants and things to do and see. A must stay. Will be back.

Wonderful stay

Knoll Top is an exquisite house. It’s clean, spacious, and comfortable. Our family of 6 (2 parents, 4 kids) felt right at home. Our kids enjoyed the large upstairs bedrooms with lots of place for playing. It was very convenient for each bedroom to have its own bathroom. My husband and I enjoyed the downstairs main bedroom. The house was very spacious yet not that we felt distant from each other. The kitchen had enough utensils for us to cook meals. The kids enjoyed riding bikes around the driveway and playing games in the shade between the garages. We enjoyed a meal on the deck. It had been very dry so we waited until a rainy day to enjoy the fire pit. Roasting marshmallows in the rain is a great experience! A prior guest mentioned there wasn’t enough hot water for the jacuzzi. There is now! We had a wonderful visit at Knoll Top!

God's Country

Our group of 6 had a wonderful experience at The Knoll Top House. It was super clean and spacious. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The views were spectacular, and we saw deer every day. Close to town to get a bite to eat. Overall our stay was fantastic!

Beautiful location — Clean!!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful property. Great views of the fall colors. It was clean and plenty of room to spread out. All of the rooms were very spacious. The upstairs queen bed wasn’t very comfortable. The bedrooms could be improved by adding bedside tables in the bedrooms and luggage racks for suitcases. There weren’t any hangers to hang jackets and clothes in the closets Upstairs bedroom has two empty curio cabinets in the large alcove. It would be a better use of space if there were a chair or two for dressing/sitting area for bedroom. Would also have preferred a couple extra towels in the kitchen. There is not enough hot water for the giant jetted tub. But I really loved the property. The few things I mention aren’t absolutely necessary but would be nice. The owner was easy to contact.

Great Location for PA Grand Canyon

The property was great for what we were using it for. Fortunately it was cool when we were there because I didn't realize there was not AC..but that was my fault for not specifically looking for that as an amenity. There were 4 of us riding motorcycles viewing the PA Grand Canyon and the location was great for that plus we went downtown through some of the shops. The house was more than big enough for us, kitchen was great for preparing food and we grilled steaks a night outside. We saw deer from the back porch each morning and truly enjoyed the privacy and quiet. What a beautiful area! I would stay here again if we ever were in the area again.

Top of the hill for sure!

Great big house, great location. Not much furniture, master bedroom literally had one small table and lamp. Nothing else, no dressers or ot tables to put your stuff on. Aside from vibrant color scheme the house felt very cold and empty. Couldnt use garages as construction materials were in there. The stone fire pit was a bit of a hike to get to. Had to drive car to it just to unload fire wood. Was literally nothing around it to help you enjoy it. No benches or chairs. Had to lug foldable chairs from back deck all the way down to the fire pit location. We loved Wellsboro itself. Grand Canyon was a great day trip. If you have a huge family gathering the house would work. For an elderly couple looking to relax it just doesnt offer the cozy atmosphere we were hoping for.

Girls Weekend Away

Our weekend was a time for reminiscing since all four of us have previous ties to the area. The beautiful house on the knoll was a central location for us to venture out to those old stomping grounds! The property also offered great accommodations with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a group of women. We appreciated the cleanliness and ease of access. Anna and Paul were also quick to respond to our text messages. I am presently thinking of taking my husband for a stay at the property! It is truly a great value for the charge and an area of beauty that everyone would enjoy visiting! The house on the knoll is simply the icing on the cake!

Views from every direction!

Enjoy sunrise on the front porch, or sunset outside of the living room window. We had all the windows open and the bird songs are enough to soothe any soul. Perfect. Clean, well equipped. It does not have AC/but it is literally on top of the mountain - open the windows and the breeze is so much it gets cold! We LOVED it.

Hills Creek Heaven

This property has a perfect mountaintop location. It’s quiet, scenic, perfectly clean and has upscale amenities. The kitchen has everything you need to entertain, and the bathrooms are equipped with soft towels. Immunization from the host is quick and responsive. They were doing a little Work while we were there (they did let us know in advance). It didn’t bother us too much, and they are putting in a lovely addition with a birds eye view - we can’t wait to return to see the new touches!

Perfect.

We wanted something out of town, but beautiful and comfortable. It was so perfect that we plan on taking the family next time - 3 bedrooms and three baths rooms! You have the top of the mountain to yourself for coffee in the morning watching the birds and enjoying the silence. Sparkling clean and super friendly host. We needed to add a third night and they were so helpful, thank you!! One tip - the town and restaurants are at least 15 min away (I mean, it’s still close), so make sure you pick up groceries coffee etc in town because once you get here you won’t really want to leave!

The property was very beautiful and the house was very roomy. the stairs were a bit hard to navigate without shoes on your feet. Echoes in the dining room....maybe an area rug to dull the sounds. All of our needs were met and more.....best views and the house was clean.
