This place was incredible! Everything you could need is here. Really pack light! Very clean! Loved the welcoming coffee bar. We have family in the area and will definitely be staying here again. It snowed while we where here and the lake is absolutely beautiful. I'm looking forward to a summer stay.

The cottage was so clean and decorated beautifully. Everything was top notch. Wapoing out to the end of the peir and sitting in the chairs was so relaxing, with a wonderful peaceful view. Seeing a heron, swans, ducks, and those abundant Canadian geese brought serenity. Thank you again for hosting

We had such a wonderful time at John and Belle's property! It was just the peaceful relaxing getaway we were hoping for. The backyard is quiet and feels very private. It was a treat to get to paddle around in the kayaks and spend the evenings around a firepit. We were grateful to be able to take a vacation with our furry family members, too! We brought a tether zipline and connected out dog's leash so she could roam safely between the shed and the drive at the other end of the property. It was perfect! We really enjoyed the screened in porch for morning coffee and endless hours of cozy reading. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you'll need to prepare meals and there are lots of games available for guest use. Wonderful hosts and a beautiful property! Highly recommend!

An amazing property and amenities supplied. This is the best stocked VRBO we have stayed at! We took advantage of the pontoon boat rental and Greg was a great host going over the boat and tour of the lake! The neighbors were very nice and the area so quiet. The grandkids stayed outside all day, went kayaking and fishing and we made many great memoriesWe will be looking to come back regularly if the dates are open! Thanks for letting us stay at this beautiful lake house.

Amazing stay

This property is everything advertised and more. My husband and I stayed a couple of days, and the lake was beautiful, the neighbors were super friendly, and the house was clean, fully equipped, and perfectly located. This is a don't miss!!!

Beautiful quiet location

My husband and spent 3 nights here in September and loved it. We are in our 50's, new to Indiana, and wanted a quiet location on the water to relax, fish, and enjoy the scenery. This did not disappoint! Owner John is easy to communicate with and check-in was seamless. The caretaker Greg lives nearby and does a great job making you feel welcome but also giving total privacy. The home is really well stocked, clean, comfortable, and perfectly decorated for the location. The kitchen is large and they have thought of everything you might need. It is a bright cheery open living room/kitchen looking out onto the lake. The screened in porch is perfect for morning coffee and helps protect from the bugs at night. The lake is very small but that was a plus to us and part of the charm. We opted to rent the pontoon boat and have no regrets. We had no luck fishing (although the lake is crystal clear and you can see the fish and turtles everywhere) but really enjoyed going out early to watch the sunrise and watching the sunset from the boat. It is absolutely beautiful!! I love to swim and lounge in water, so I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't just jump off the dock to cool off. There are a lot of lily pads and pond plants surrounding the dock and it's very shallow making swimming and/or fishing difficult. The yard is beautiful though and there is comfortable seating all over this property. We are already planning a winter trip. A beautiful oasis right in the middle of cornfields!

We enjoyed a very peaceful time on the water. The house was well stocked with the essentials. The coffee pods were appreciated as we brought regular ground coffee.

Adorable cottage on a quiet lake

The property was beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice! The house was clean and well stocked. Greg was very helpful with the pontoon and took us on a ride around the lake before giving us the keys. The screened in porch was perfect to relax in at night while keeping the bugs away. Would definitely recommend this place!

Unplug & Enjoy

What a peaceful and fun filled experience. The cottage is great - roomy and comfortable with everything you could possibly want. Outdoors even better - lake is awesome! We rented the pontoon and spent a lot of time on the water. Went fishing and swimming and took the kayaks out every morning to a glass like lake. Lunch on the lake and evening sunset cruises after grilling out. Private lake - basically had the place to ourselves. You’ll never want to leave.

Fantastic!

This wonderful cottage was so pretty and comfortable. The screened in porch was nice at night. My husband and I were there for a week, and we were the only ones on the lake almost every day. We loved watching the fish and the turtles at the end of the pier. The lake is small, so there is no skiing or fast boating, but if you want a peaceful, relaxing place, this is it!

Perfect Lake House

The house was lovely, had everything you could need for your stay. The internet worked great, the lake was beautiful. Greg was a ton of help! Enjoyed the fishing, swimming and the boating! Could not recommend highly enough!

A hidden gem in northern Indiana

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to renting again! The location is a great place to enjoy nature and relax. Time seems to slow down here, making even a short visit seem long. Very, very relaxing.

Relaxing Family Getaway

My husband and I and our two adult daughters enjoyed our stay at Bellevue Cottage. It was so peaceful and quiet! The cottage is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed time on the water—fishing and relaxing one day in the pontoon and taking the kayaks out several times. We also took day trips to Shipshewana and Winona Lake. We loved the space and the relaxation it provided for our special family time together.

wonderful in everyway

Everything was great, one problem though: the dog. There was no place to walk or run or even feel free in a back yard but even it would not be on a leash there is no security for a pet. Also since we have a sail boat, Loon lake would be better for us. So if you can move your beautiful cottage there, we would be your permanent customers.

2nd stay this summer

We 1st stayed over Memorial Day and booked again for Labor Day weekend. This property has everything one would need for a relaxing weekend. The property is clean and the bed in the primary bedroom was really comfortable. They really thought of everything. We will be back.
